Yes, I totally understand this 🙏🏽 and I did. Once you recognize the signs, you know when it's time to go. Going in with an exit plan from the beginning is so important!
Thank you SO much for speaking on this. I've thought I was making up my feelings for years because the gaslighting and normalization of mistreatment runs so deep. We shouldn't have to get used to despair and dread at work. We have to support each other.
Words cannot express how your message spoke to me. As I have tears running down my face because my sister-in-law was in the same position. We did not know how bad it was until it was almost too late. They really are trying to kill us.
Such valuable words shared...thank you Marissa. I am deeply touched and inspired to also continue to share my healing journey in relation to a toxic job.❤
After several days of FMLA my head is just now starting to clear. I've transferred some my 401k money to cash as a buffer for my exit plan. My attorney is working on filing an EEOC complaint. It's been a whole mess.
I literally started therapy bc of my job! I definitely needed it in general but it shed so much light on what was happening and it was not all in my head! Thank you for discussing this topic! Dr. Candia-Bailey’s story shook me to my core. I had just returned from FMLA. Still figuring out my next move bc I have the golden handcuffs on bc I just got a raise. Most money I’ve ever earned. 😢it’s so draining bc I’ve worked 20 years in my field to get here. I’m still standing up for myself (and documenting) along the way. 🙏🏽
You're so welcome 🤎🤎🤎 You definitely have the upper hand here! If you wanted to apply to other jobs and use the fact that you just received a raise as leverage to negotiate a higher salary in a better working environment, you could do that! Tine Zekis provides a lot of great info on how to negotiate salary 🙏🏽 Rooting for you!! 👏🏼
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I am going through similar experiences. ❤ In addition I have experienced major health concerns including stress and anxiety. I am applying for LTD. ❤
You're so welcome 🤎🤎🤎 I hate to hear you're experiencing something similar 😔 But am hopeful for your LTD claim! Jacquie Abram has info on her channel about how to use this as part of a severance package strategy.
