@EthnoEuropean's CountriesAreBeingInvaded The show was videotaped in 1987 in analogue 625 line PAL for broadcast to audiences in the UK with glass tube TV sets rarely bigger than 24 inches. We had only four channels then, all in glorious surround mono. So no, there won't be an HD version.

"C - Big blue wobbly thing that mermaids live in. 'C'" I remember that joke from the 90s, when Blackadder was on TV in Australia. I saw that episode only once and forgot most of the jokes from most of the episodes, yet I've never forgotten that one. It's gotta be one of my favourites!!

Where are such comedies these days, nothing new like this, British comedy is the best in the world, or was. Rowan as black adder, the best, Laurie as the prince regent, Fry as Wellington, and Arnold Rimmer as French Revolutionary. I really do miss great British comedies, Yes Minister, Manor Born and Red Dwarf, we were spoilt and did not know it.
