Wouldn't it be interesting if xebec transferred his soul into his son's body before he "died" and he and black beard cohabitate the same body and that's why he can use two fruits and has the desire to finish what xebec started. Even the never sleeping thing can be explained by them taking turns being awake

That fact that one of his hobbies is studying history, and he never sleeps and eludes to a grand plan on multiple occasions makes him my favorite one piece villain.

When Shanks called Teach the most dangerous man alive and literally went to the WORLD GOVERNMENT to warn them about the sheer threat Teach poses to the whole world I knew he was holding back a hell of a lot more than anyone thought. I mean it's Shanks, if he says Teach is the biggest problem in the series then I'm gonna believe him.

If Blackbeard doesn't have all three types of haki at the ADVANCED level then he's not beating Luffy in a 1v1.

He uses liberation to release the other devil fruit. He has never actually used darkness combined with whitebeard's fruit in an attack. His goal is to obtain Luffy's mythical zoan, the most powerful of zoans; thus having all three of the most powerful fruits (logia/paramecia/zoan).

Black Beard is Xebec's son and Xebec was on the verge of death after God Valley and he asked Big Mom to place his Soul into his son's body so that he could eventually return that's why Black Beard appeared to never sleep because Xebec took over after Black Beard slept in his subconscious. This explains the changes in Black Beard's personality during the fight with White Beard in "Marine Ford" and the naming of Black Beard's ship the "Saber Of Xebec" as well as Luffy and Zoro addressing him as "They".

People say Teach is a coward but that bastard is a clever tactician. He got 2 of the strongest fruits after years of waiting and the worst criminals as his crew. After 2 years, he's gotta have some crazy new moves that combines his powers in one combo And we have that theory of a third devil fruit.

It would be crazy if Blackbeard’s master plan was actually something that would help Luffy in a kind of yin Yang scenario (the picture of Luffy as the sun and Blackbeard as the moon put this idea in my mind)

I have two theories regarding how Blackbeard obtained his second devil fruit. The first is, since Blackbeard's intelligent, he figured out how to fuse a devil fruit into an object (as far as we currently know, this technique is kept secret by the World Government) and he fused Whitebeard's fruit into one of his rings and can indirectly access the devil fruit's power. My second theroy, which is much more likely, since it fits the narrative we know so far. When Big Mom speaks to king, in chapter 951, she tells him 3 races are missing from her kingdom. One is King's race, Lunarians. Second are giants, since she has a feud with them. Third we don't know of, it has yet to be confirmed. Keep in mind, that if this third race is a race that we have already seen or heard of, why would Oda keep it a secret and add it to the already big list of mysteries of One Piece and not just confirm it and be done with it. In other words, it is a race that we do not know of as of yet. Big Mom mentions that ONE of them may have been lost to the sands of time, and she obviously means the third race (If she was referring to King's race, why wouldn't she say I thought YOUR race was lost to the sands of time.) What if Blackbeard is possibly the last member of that third race. A race that is capable of eating more than one devil fruit and one which requires no sleep and are highly endurable without even haki. Such a race would prove to be the most dangerous to the World Government, so they tried to dominate them, like they always do, but failed so they (almost) wiped them out and erased memory of them. Only influential people like the yonkus, Gorosei, Rocks and Roger know such a race once existed. Throughout the story, people had thrown strange remarks about Blackbeard, like how his body is odd or how he never sleeps. It's as if he's not HUMAN but belongs to a different race. Since this race is long gone, the vast majority of the world doesn't know such a race once existed, let alone know their capabilities, so when Blackbead is showing his race capabilities, it's alien to them and they don't know what to make out of it, hence the strange remarks he's been getting. Would also explain why Blackbeard put a blanket on Whitebeard, so the world won't see that he is using his race capability of eating more than one devil fruit, which would promote the Gorosei to hunt him down for being far more dangerous than he, at that point of time, wanted to be perceived.

I think He's Xepec's son, the same way Ace was Gold Roger's son. In my estimation, this battle between Luffy's crew, Blackbeard's crew and Shank's crew is set to be a blockbuster showdown. But, I don't think the world government will sit aside just casually and not do anything. This epic clash will definitely be huge.

I figured Blackbeard awakened his devil fruit which revealed its true form of the Cerberus Fruit. Cerberus being the 3-headed guard dog of the gates of Hell. The three heads allow Blackbeard to take on up to two other devil fruits in addition to the one he originally had. Also each head has its own autonomy of sorts so one can sleep enough for the other two to constantly stay awake; being a perfect fit for the guard of Hell I suspect his devil fruit embodies. That's just my theory though.

We’ve all known that Blackbeard would be Luffy’s greatest enemy. Luffy can’t hope to become King of the Pirates unless he faces the man inspired by one of the most famous pirates in history.

I do not know why but Blackbeard gives me strong vibes of two characters combined into one: Obito (with his Kamui - beeing able to suck in stuff into another dimension and seem untouchable) and All for One - multiple Quirks (personalities) fighting inside of him.

I agree with Animac here. Powerful people or superheroes are concerned about world peace. But when they become concerned about a particular person, then you know something is wrong. Shanks isn't wrong in been concerned. Because Blackbeard is a threat that is beyond dangerous, deadly even.

Devil fruits doesn't make him stronger. What makes him stronger is his cunning actions and opportunities. Only the one with the strongest haki is the STRONGEST 💪

Another comment after finishing: What if god valley was foreshadowing in a sense, as in it will happen again but with Blackbeard as Xebec, Luffy as roger and possibly coby as garp. The final fight of one piece could be Luffy and Coby teaming up against Blackbeard. It would also be slightly poetic as Coby was the first friend Luffy made on his adventure so it would be Luffy and the first member of his nakama (in a way) teaming up to save the world from blackbeard.

I think he absorbed the fruits not because of the darkeness power but because he was born with a rare birth defect giving him 2 of most organs including 2 hearts(I believe this because the way he is designed with a torso that is very disproportionate to his arms an legs as if his torso has to be doubled in size to make room for everything). There are other characters with giant torsos but they also have fatter arms an legs an to where Blackbeard has a massive torso an very small arms an legs which is off from the normal design but subtle enough most wouldn’t pick up on it. I think the 3 theme is more of a spiritual thing then literal. People say mind, body an soul but what if the rule of three is more because his mind and somewhat double body an those with advanced observation can tell that he shows the aura of more than one person because each heart represents its own part of the soul. Each devil fruit binds with a heart(soul) and that’s why he has 2 fruits. I don’t believe he will go for a third fruit because he can’t an if he could it would actually be a hindrance. Zoan fruits enhance your senses, physical strength and instincts naturally through the fruit. So if he darkness fruit already increase the pain/damage he takes from attacks , a zoan fruit would only increase the feeling of that pain, yes he could heal faster possibly but would that be worth it to already feel each hit greatly an only increase that damage with a zoan ? I think that’s why he went after whitebeards fruit because he knew a zoan with the darkness fruit would only work against each other. Another reason I think this is the quake quake fruit not only is probably the most powerful offensive fruit but also can be used as a extremely powerful defense. I think Blackbeard is using the fruit more as the ultimate shield while his dark dark fruit is the ultimate spear taking away devil fruit powers an than using his ultimate shield to crush opponents.

Honesty I'd like Kurohige to be the next Pirate King, due to him finding Laugh Tale (aka Rafftel) first. But at the same time I want Luffy to be considered the ACTUAL Pirate King by the world, due to him destroying the World Government and being individually stronger than Kurohige. Personally, I kinda like the idea of Teach being a hostage of the Fruit and the Will of Xebec. Rather than the battle against BB being about defeating Teach, it'll be more of a rescue mission to liberate Teach from the Fruit and whatever sway Xebec holds.

My favorite One Piece theory is that Blackbeard has a mythical zoan called the Kraken fruit. The foreshadowing for this fruit can be seen on his jolly roger which has 8 bones and 3 skulls. Similar to the jolly roger, octopi have 8 tentacles and 3 hearts. The theory explains that Blackbeard can eat multiple devil fruits because each fruit is bound to a person’s heart. Because Blackbeard has 3 like an octopus, he is able to have multiple fruits. If you assume he has eaten the Kraken fruit, it also means that he would have a zoan, logia, and paramecia after he takes White Beard’s fruit. Even more evidence is that each of the 7 warlords of the sea represents an animal (Boa is a snake, Kuma is a bear, Jimbe is a fish, etc). With the Kraken fruit, Blackbeard would represent another animal in the list of warlords. It also explains why he is able to regrow teeth in certain panels of the manga (which is the reason people theorize that Blackbeard is multiple people). Mythical zoan users have insane durability and Blackbeard could possibly have regeneration to regrow these teeth. Finally, it might explain why Blackbeard is never seen sleeping and why he has a “weird body.” Octopi sleep in very very short periods of time of around 15 minutes, which is so short that people might not even notice he ever fell asleep. It is my absolute favorite One Piece theory, and it would be SO cool if “Blackbeard” had the “Kraken” fruit because those are the two most pirate-y things in the whole world. It would also help Blackbeard mirror Luffy because he would’ve ALSO started out with a zoan devil fruit. However, Blackbeard uses his to steal and do evil, while Luffy uses his for good.

This would also explain why zoro and luffy called Blackbeard they, they could tell there was more than one personality/person within him, and that could also be the reason why he can eat multiple devil fruits. Each personality can eat one, and if that is the case then blackbeard can eat a third. He may come after luffy next to try to get the nika nika no mi, or maybe he might target Marco as he already knows his strengths and weaknesses, and as the Yami Yami no no mi has him absorb damage, he would be able to heal with Marco's tori tori no mi. Something tells me that Blackbeard will get Pluton and at that point, Nami and or Robin will lose their shit and tell Luffy to get serious. You know to actually accept people into his fleet and lead an army instead of just simply trying to have fun on his way to the One Piece. The thing is we’ve never seen Blackbeard finish off his opponents. It always cuts to them being defeated. I believe this is for a reason that Oda is waiting to reveal. I believe Blackbeard is stronger than he leads on because he’s definitely hiding something we haven’t seen yet
