This had helped me decide- going back to Blackberry as I mostly use for email and messaging and love the keyboard. I'm bored with apps that get boring after a while and drain your battery!

Loved my 9900 so much but unfortunately it was my final BB. Its funny because I recall having a black one like this and then switching fully to an iPhone as my only device with a white 4S like this one. Both were fantastic phones, loved them both.

I miss my Blackberry 9900. Best built phone I've ever had. The OS is outdated though. The new Blackberry 10 OS is lightening fast and has Instagram, Candy Crush, Flappy Bird, you name it!

I’ve just bought a perfectly refurbished bold 9900, back then I had 4s, now I see BlackBerry was very special back then. In my childhood I always wanted to own bold 9900, and now I got one. I know most of the things don’t work but I had my old number laying around so it has a new home now.

Yes Dude, BBX(BB10) looks amazing. I upgrade in june of next year and I was originally going to the Galaxy S3, HTC One S, or a LG Optimus 4X but once I saw BBX, it became my number phone to upgrade to. And yeah the predictive keyboard looks great and the Camera feature looked great too. Also just in case you don't know this RIM is release BBX phones that do have physical keyboards, it's just that the touch screen one will be released first.

I owned a I phone 4 for a year, it broke on me. I hade my Blackberry for 6 months dropped it many times (By accident) it works like new. The blackberry is just stronger built

Wow! More unbiased! You have just earned yourself a new fan, a like and a new sub. Personally, I prefer BlackBerry. It does everything better than iOS, android and windows phone. The only thing it currently doesn't do better than iOS or android is the dumb apps. Although, it has all the important ones, the only ones it's currently missing are the insignificant hype apps, which are coming to BB anyway. Also, I don't play much or any games on the go, only do when I'm on long rides, car, train, plane, etc. and for that I use a tablet or a console. In everything else, BB destroys te competition.

your right there, the Blackberry had the business look but it really lacked the software, features and hardware the high end Android/ Iphones have even though they look a little more novelty. Blackberry phones are okay for basic uses, having had 2 ( Curve and Bold) but they lacked so many features as well as being very slow, the curve especially slow. So I just got my upgrade from a Bold to an S3 two-three days ago, the difference is phenomenal.

I have an IPhone 4S and planning to trade for a BlackBerry Bold 9900... The thing I'm concerned about the BB is hearing others say it freezes up and has glitches... I don't take advantage of the apps on my iPhone; more so checking the social media stuff and RU-vid... Blackberry sounds more my fit... Should I go for the Blackberry?

only problem with the bold...is it lacks certain apps like Line, Instagram and Skout for instance...The youtube quality is kinda crap as well when not in wifi and on data plan - but overall, i love it - hope they just improve those cons

I just got my 9900 yesterday. I FREAKING LOVE IT !!!! I have an ipad2 so i really have no need for a mini ipad in the iphone. Also own a Playbook. Bridged with my 9900 and it's a freaking dream pair.

I have the Bold 9900 for a year now. I cant complain too much about it. Cant compare to any other device because Bold is a class on its own great antenna , clarity on hearing and speaking, and off course the KEYBOARD is why i bought it+ i used 8900 curve while back and was missing it so i chose this one. i phones and androids operating systems are different and i used all of them before but in my opinion BB is more of a good clear sounding easy texting business minded phone hope this will help.

The battery life is good now. The problem was solved with the OS upgrade that you can easily update when you connect your phone to Blackberry desktop. Im a heavy user and the batterry lasts me over a day.

If you're still interested in a BlackBerry, then I'd recommend waiting for the brand new BlackBerry Q10 to come out first. BlackBerry 10 seems like a great, new OS and much more modern than the legacy OS. The BlackBerry Z10 is out now though, if you want a modern BlackBerry device but with an all touch-screen phone. Either way, check out BB10 and I think you'll come to like the new phones.

i am a blackberry user and i am a fan of them.. but now it seems they are fading and going bankrupt! so i was planning on getting the iphone 4 in about a week (siri is stupid :p) but im not sure if i should wait the extra 4 months for the iphone 5 to come out or just get the iphone 4... i dont really care, as long as it calls and texts im happy but i just dont want to have an "old" version.. what do you think.. and black or white?

In the long run, the iPhone 4S was the better device in many areas. It's still updated to this day and even getting the upcoming iOS, while the 9900 is out dated in many ways. Sad BlackBerry failed to improve on such a great phone and OS.

As a hardcore Blackberry user, I would say get an iphone for now if you can stand touch screen but when the BB10 phones come out next year that would be the best time to get a Blackberry (I hate touch screen keyboards but the predictive text thing is AMAZING). If you're going to get a Blackberry now, get the bold 9900/9930

Although blackberrys are good and last forever, never break, and are tanks, id rather go for an iphone. I have a blackberry and i love it. The speakers are awesome. The thing is it doesnt have many apps and it gets a lot of battery problems. Also the speakers stop working and you literally have to smash it to make it start working again. My bb atm cant play audio through the speakers, only the hand set

I'm am also a little unhappy about how people are saying how much blackberry sucks. Seeing as they were once bulky, gray brick-phones, there doesn't seem to be any reason to complain when it gets a touch screen and a nice, finished exterior.

Used to have a 4s & I lost it now I have a S3 & the only think I like about it is that on androids u can download free music directly to your music player, is there an app for that for the BB? Also in my 4s I can set my flash to flash with incoming mssgs & calls. I downloaded an app that allows me to do the same on my S3 is there a such thing for the BB?

Yeah but in my experience I had similar issues with lower end android phones (which had very low resolution screens, slow processors, android OS was sort of dull and clumsy etc) and I've recently got the LG Optimus 4X HD on android 4.0 which is really amazing. It's so polished and really makes android shine as a stable and polished OS on par with iOS or even the best OS out there.

The Bold is so sexy. Ugh. I love the Classic but it has too much metal plating. The all black kind of look of the Bold looks so smexy.

I plan on getting the blackberry 9900, but will be looking forward to getting the latest Iphone when my contract is up or can upgrade phones. both phones are superior in there own way its going to be hard leaving 1 for the other :/

I agree the old Nokia's are absolutely great at that sort of thing but i need the features that modern smartphones offer to be able to check e-mails on the move and look things up while I'm in a rush etc... ( I wouldn't say only company, JCB made a line of phones much tougher than any other phone on the market)

I think I'm still going to stick with the BB for now, I use it mainly for work and not a huge app person yet. I think the Iphone can definitely be more fun, but I need a phone with good call clarity and email etc. Plus I can't stand typing on touch screens.

The whole having the iMessage and texting being together seems like a good idea, i text my brothers all the time and one has bbm and one doesn't so its annoying always having to switch the apps back and forth, but at the same time i'm assuming having them together would be a little unorganized. Also I might be wrong about this but the 9900 is 4G and I dont think the 4S is but that would be why the receptions better.

There are millions of people out there thinking of upgrading, downgrading, changing phone type or whatever else, that would mean parting with an arm and a leg financially! People really need independent non technical reviews. Note; the comparison is just meant to compare output - no the technical details. Carry on FT and perfect it! Comment on battery life, aftersales, commonly used apps, e.g maps etc

the bold 9900 is my third BB and by far the best, love how its half touch screen... I guess I am biased for blackberry but if you get the new bold you will be satisfied! plus I only use facebook, twitter and youtube on my bb but have and ipodtouch that I don't even use now that I have wifi on this phone

yep i have a simular one like that but the thing is i dropped mine from 20ish ft and its fine and 5 ft for iphone is done for it so another way to proove bbn is better

i have both, and im telling you, if you arent sure which one to get, CHOOSE IPHONE! i have problems every single day with that blackberry! -,- it shuts down by itself about 10 times a day, camera sucks! Blackberry freezes the zhole time, screen cracks really easily, and battery dies really quick. Iphone has a very good camera, never had any problems with this phone. i just gotta keep this blackberry for BBM!

I have both phones.. I honestly cannot choose one over the other.. bottom line is, if your more business (emails, texting, phone calling) Id say Blackberry.. If your a gamer, love apps and stuff, then definitely iPhone. Great video btw FuriousTechnology!!!

I had 4 9900, I had 3 black and last one was white since launch date. I switched to iPhone 4s 64gb just this june for it's useful camera efficiency function and iOS. I'm not being biased here I am trying to be truthful in all aspects of my comment a crackberry user I had all bold from 9000, 9700 , 9780 and last was 9900 models and three curve also 2 torch 9800 and 9810, why did I switch? one reason all of the models are plainly outdated.

I'm now saving for my Torch 9860, I really prefer BlackBerry instead of iPhone, but is my opinion, I can't personalize an iPhone as much as my BlackBerry (I own a Curve 8520 now). And if we talk about games, I prefer a PS Vita for mobile gamming

You can't really compare the two. They're in different categories. Blackberry is more for socializing, texting, bbm, etc. iPhone has games, and it's more for that then things like texting (which sucks on a softboard)

I've had loads of phones over the years and they were all much of a muchness. Same 1-0 alphanumeric keypad, red and green buttons. The game changed when I got my first smartphone, the Blackberry 8520. I used it for well over two years. The game changed again when I inherited an iPhone 3Gs from a friend. I'm sorry to say this while my pretty little BB is listening (probably), but the iPhone is better at absolutely everything (sexier, too). The only thing I miss is the keyboard, really.

I just got an iPhone 5. i had a Blackberry and i hated it. When i first got it i loved it but later down the road it had issues with the trackpad, constantly shutting down and rebooting, and this weird problem where the audio from my videos would randomly play. Web browsing sucks, camera is decent, video camera isnt that great. Im glad i got rid of it. idk about the 4 but the iPhone 5 is great. best upgrade ever

I really think this video is very discriptive and helpfull as far as the phones go i would choose the blackberry bold 9900 just because it has a great look and i love the keyboard keep posting the videos
