I LOVED my BBB and it has done me well the past couple years. Now I am upgrading to the Iphone 4 and really I miss my bold!!!

Nice video. I have a Bold 9900 myself and I love it. Things regarding battery life... 1. Try turning off 4G (or H+ in for some carriers) and wi-fi 2. OS 7.1 will have a battery saving feature that will turn on when your phone reaches a certain battery percentage (customizable percentage to what you want)

This needs to come out already! The 9900 is stalling for at&t, and I'm so desperate to go back to Blackberry that I'm leaning towards the Torch 9810. Is there any hope that the Bold 9900 will come out by the end of october? :((

@lleennaayyaa no there is no more count limit on texting, that was a limitation on the older Telus CDMA network.

Im debating between getting the BB or iPhone. I really prefer the BB with the keyboard and with it not being a "toy", but I also love the browsers and fb etc. on the iPhone way more than the BB. lol, any suggestions?

Good review. Only one complaint, your claim that the battery life in the Iphone lasts longer. I have yet to have one of my friends not constantly chargeing the Iphone, it has horrible battery life! I have a 9900 and every single time my phone out lasts the other cell phone offerings.

@Joedunne99 well yes a newer version of the Iphone will be faster then the older Bold, however the Magnum or Storm 3 will own the Iphone 5. they are more then likley comeing out not far from each other. The Torch 2 will be on par with the Playbook. @Johnscottibo Flash will be availible with the next gen BB starting with the Magnum I believe.

BB 9900 is a very good terminal. I've got it and its very fast, you'll not even notice the difference between BB and iPhone. And yeah, 500mb are a lot for a RIM terminal because RIM's servers actually compress data so much, that 1mb its 0.1 mb... So 500mb of data will be quite a lot on BB, Keyboard its awesome, big and spacious, if you are used with it, you'll find it pretty amazing.

@gedam131 One of my favorite features of the 9900 has to be the mouse cursor. It gives you that added precision you don't get on the iPhone 4.

I'm a BB user (curve 8520) and some of it's features/apps don't work in my country without a special monthly pay plan at Orange,wich I can't afford.Apps like Yahoo messenger.I'm thinking of switching to iPhone but I have doubts because of the poor battery life. ANy suggestions ? Thanks

I hade both pbones before and im currently using the iphone 4 I had the blackberry 9700 for a year and and when I first got it up to the first 6 months there where no problems after the buttons on the side became too sensitive and the keyboard wasn't as great. With my iphone 4 I experienced that the phone would shut me out of some apps such as facebook,twitter,and angry birds (games) my advise is to buy an android phone more faster web browsing (depending on the phone) and a more snappy response

for the bold youre still leaving all your programs running... its killing your battery, instead of minimizing it you gotta close outa it via the bb button. you also should turn your brightness down, but dont quote me im just a normal bb user

The Bold 9900 continuous focus isn't really a "new feature" but actually a compromise for Blackberry's attempt at making the Bold thinner, they had to remove the auto-focus camera. Its for the same reason the battery life sucks; larger processor, smaller battery...FAIL on Blackberry's part.

I had the iPhone 4S for 2-3 months now, and honestly I would agree that the 9900 had a better prime status(the time when everybody was on it) than the iPhone even though the iPhone may have better apps and such, it is not arguable. The 9900 is for people with a social life whilst iPhone is a game based toy.

Bold 9000 p nickel has its aspects of the phone before the iPhone 4 means that the Bold 9900 is not his idea of the iPhone, but from 9000 and vice versa

I prefer blackberry for connecting to people and my iphone 4 for gaming, Getting bold 9900 in a couple of hours (I have a curve atm) and i have iphone 4s 64gb and iphone 4 16gb atm:D

Iphone 4 is what I am using to type on atm. Its amazing (ran by verizon) and has a very fast speed, and a great quality with taking vids, pics, etc. I really think that Iphone is way better than blackberry in mostly every way

i love the BB 9900, because its concept is more unique then the iphone in my opinion. i have the ipod touch which is pretty much the same thing to the iphone, and just using it was kind of boring if you ask me. i mean all you would do is swipe and swipe each page filled with random apps. blackberry is one of those complicated phones that i love. besides the main reason why iphone is still and continuing to be such a big hit is because of their apps. plus the iphones plans aren't that great

I used to have a BB BOLD that i really like but decided to switch to Iphone 4! It been not so long ago now I am thinking about going back to blackberry, but the BB Bold 9900! I have 500 MB of data and i am scared to go over it with Iphone! (I would go only on facebook and whats app MOSTLY) i HEARD that for blackberry 500 mb is a lot because BB does compression and its really rare to go over 500 if u use intensive bbm and facebook!. I also find rly annoying the keyboard touch screen! HELP!

@ktmidol im guessing you havent tried it, as the touchscreen is SO responsive! Especially when paired with liquid graphics, the 9900 is more responsive and fluid than my iPad! (yeh, you bet i went there...!)

@kiloah92 Well new iOS 5 is very similar to BBM tells me when the reciever recieved the message(delivered) and tells me if the person has read the text or not. New built in iMessage and on top of that with iCloud all my data, photos, numbers, music and virtually anything is backed up online. You can access all this info at any computer to manage your stuff. Blackberry can't do that. Oh yeah Front facing camera? and when you think of an MP3, what comes to mind isn't an MP3 but an iPod...

I'm aloud to get one of these for my birthday. I have 1 month to decide which one to get but I'm really stuck. I think most people would get the IPhone. The only reason I want the blackberry is because it has bbm. But then the battery doesn't last long so that's not good. Someone please help

In the Uk The iphone 4 is £500 and The bb 9900 is £500 haha:D (Iphone 4 release price (16gb) and current highest price of the bb on carphonewarehouse. Thats why i got both ^_^

for the same price of iphone, bold 9900/30 is $199 comes in 8gb and has micro sd card slot u can use up top 32gb. unlike iphone, 16gb and cost $199. then 32gb is $299, or 64gb for $399. men that's a lot for a phone only.

1 week ago i was sure about iphone4 but then i watched Torch 9860 review and found it a better option (considering my corporate email requirements). I know iphone is better when it comes to camera & multimedia features but i would be happy if 9860 can offer 80% of what iphone can. Regarding emails i've heard that iphone4 is very poor because it don't have push & fetch consumes a lot of battery. Secondly iphone4 is not innovative when it comes to email management.. PL REVERT

No I don't have a problem with asians, or any race for that matter. I was proving a point. This person was judging somebody by a "stereotypical" attitude, and I merely did the same to show how ridiculous it is to be so prejudice. The iphone is just for impressing people,gamkng,browsing but bb is for thise who arent interested in 1mil games and funny assistant(siri) they are for older people who want it for business. Bb has doc viewer,doc editor,easy texting. Iphone can't read word documents and typing on it is lil slower. It just dependes of what you like

browser were not a close call because the iphone has too load a bigger space with more images, whereas the BB just loads waterred down sites and im not even an apple fanboy i own an android lol
