Checking it out on RU-vid and this felt like the old days .... new product review just as it comes out. I’m all for the slate colour but my KeyOne is doing just fine for now. You made the best point so far for most users ....if the battery lasts you the day it’s all good. I hate having to carry around chargers and battery packs and since I got the KeyOne I haven’t had to that once. 7 1/2 hrs screen time is excellent. Thanks for the video and the trip down memory lane.
I'd roll with the Champagne colorway. Too be honest it looks like an updated KEYᵒⁿᵉ. Rounded edges like the KEYᵒⁿᵉ, fret thickness, keys and keyboard build. Still dig the curve comparison. Is the screen glass or plastic like the Z10, Z30, and Priv? Either way think this is a great step forward to have that accessible phone for everyone. I still believe those that hate BlackBerry and complain about the price being too high for the KEY² LE aren't going to buy or take the phone if it were a free promotional phone with their carrier. Some people just want to hate on BlackBerry cause it's cool too. If Big Red whitelists it I'll for sure get two of them! Get the atomic colorway as a third phone! Kevin admit had some doubts on this KEY2LE but was lucky to be in Berlin for the launch ...what a difference it makes when one sees,feels and tries ....felt so comfortable and soft the back..in the hands with those rounded corners, the weight is balanced and the keyboard was great...wth that click response. It has 4 gb and better processor than KEYone this will go and go no issue. Now the colors...wow...loved that Champagne som Classy ....but what stood out for me also was that Atomic Red....pictures don't do it justice enough...truly amazing....Bottom line an awesome upgrade to the KEYone with better specs...the capacitive keyboard yeah it's convenient but quickly got adjusted using it good of the afternoon and evening...and yes it has all the keyboard shortcuts ....I really want that that atomic red...its stunning! BTW what an amazing launch event!
I wish AT&T would sell this. I love my PRIV, but I've had it for over two years and looking for something new. I'm so glad BlackBerry is making phones with the physical keyboard still! It's the only way I will go. Now to make BlackBerry models available to my carrier and we will be best friends!
5.5x4 dimension would be perfect. the logic of these manufacturers was they usually count the screen real estate including space where earpiece was not the actual screen size. the actual size of passport ans key 1 and key 2 was 3.5 thats why its so small

Atomic version super.. I am huge fan old school keyboard. Does this model available in India. We always receive the blackberry model here after hardware gets older. I would love to have silver key two. But its two costly. And also we dont have silver edition in India. Does keytwo LE is available for india region
Love the looks of the Atomic and I would totally get one, but loosing the capacitive features on the PKB, boy I don't know. I would miss that just too dang much. Is there a Verizon CDMA version?
Does it say iPhone, Galaxy, Pixel or LG (for some reason) on it? Then I would say no. Verizon like 2 flavors of phone.... super-expensive and so cheap you opt for super expensive! The only reason they still sell the Moto Z is to keep you buying those expensive mods.
@@chriss1757 there is a version of the LE that works on Verizon according to TCL. Since my comment they answered that for me on Instagram. So that's cool.

Well I think blackberry is missing the thing here these days mid range category is very competitive. 399 for SD636 with 4gig of ram still pricey by the specs you can get much higher specs phone in that price range. My personal opinion it should have been priced $249 use single camera instead of dual but in that price it had been a tough competition.
I watched a different video where somebody made an statement about the LE version of the key2 doesn't have an micro SD card slot. I would like to know if this is true.
People too easily want to complain about TCL BlackBerry pricing, and while it's not horrible, it's still noncompetitive. Just because variety in the form-factor is essentially non-existent doesn't mean it doesn't have to compete. I absolute *abhor* spec whores, but with the LE it's impossible to look past what you're not getting for the price. Four-hundred dollars gets you a "less-capable" SOC, less capable camera, smaller battery, loss of trackpad function, and polycarbonate construction; just to name what you've mentioned. I'm a massive fan of the feel and smoothness polycarbonate can have from Nokia's n9 and Lumia phones, so to me that's actually a plus over sharp, slippery aluminum; but then they kind of ruin it because they can't be assed to color-match the components of the phone. The rubberized back being black is fine and actually quite nice on the red, but the keys and chin plastics up front being black genuinely look like somebody did a tacky "custom combo" mix-n-match with eBay parts. I can appreciate the symmetrical aesthetic they may claim they were going for, but to me it just seems like cost cutting to the degree of the 93xx Curves where the entire face of the phone was black regardless of color. Fine enough phones, but just dirt cheap with how colors were done compared to any other BlackBerry. I guess that's all this phone really equates to and I should shut up instead of expecting the kind of quality had from how BlackBerry did the red Passport. All TCL had to do was mimick that approach and the LE would have been much more appealing to those who prefer aesthetic over specs. I think that overall it's a premium for the BlackBerry logo and licensing that wouldn't reflect in a similar device made outside of BlackBerry involvement. But that's probably obvious and I should probably shut up so I'll shut up now k bye.
i love Blackberry …. i have the q10; Bold ; Passport ; Playbook ( Tablet ) ; Classic ; Keyone and ordered yesterday my Key 2 … what does the LE stand for? i don´t get it !? the physical keyboard is just epic…. i´m from ITALY i´m sorry my english is not so good ( can i get a heart? )
Someone said the KEY2 has a more square screen than the KEYone .. that can't be .. I thought it was basically the same screen experience. KEYone just has it so perfect, I can't see them changing the ratio.
First off I love my Key2 but I think $575 would have been a fair price. The Key2 LE 32GB should be $349 and the Key2 LE 64GB should be $399 in my opinion.
C'mon BlackBerry..... Please ! $400/- for a watered down version of an already way too overpriced Keytwo...! This is the reason why my favourite brand is dying a slow death...
I didn't understand why they don't keep the touch keyboard , this is a worst idea. Who can buy like this phone with out physical touch keyboard, but about the design is a beautiful design
The "original" key2 should have been $399 for what you get. There's also no reason in making two key 2 le 399/450 32/64 just pick 1 storage size. Key2- 399 Key2 le - 250 Get competitive ... GAIN some traction.. Otherwise let this go

I don't use physical keyboards, so I'm meh about this phone. BlackBerry offers a good business product, I just don't know if they are being successful marketing it to businesses. The phone is designed as a second phone and it shows. Its focused on email, messaging, scheduling etc. and puts a premium on security.
Isn't that refreshing when EVERY other OEM do nothing more than find ridiculous ways to achieve full "bezel-less" and slap more camera lenses on their boring all-glass phones?
Seriously BB, I wouldn't spend more than $200/- for that...when will you guys wake the f@#k up ! Are you guys even aware of the kinds of products available in the market with way better specs and way lower price points. There are literally new models coming out every fortnight....
200? Why? I'm not saying its a bit overpriced but 300 for that processor in any phone is a really good deal, not to mention its a blackberry and it has a keyboard and all the BlackBerry software so an extra 100 over those 300 is not that bad.

Sanjay Menzies sure, I'm also looking around for phones but, think about this. The people that are buying this phone wont need fast graphics or a really fast processor. The pocophone is an exception. We all now that xiaomi doesnt win money with hardware but with software. And even then the person who wants a keyboard and a 3/2 screen that isnt even made for playing videos wont notice the difference. This is a mobile office, the pocophone is a media and strength powerhouse. Two very different people are gonna buy this two phones.
And if you need a fast processor, for god knows what in these days, or a good camera, go get the pocophone, you are not the target this phone is aiming at.

Buying an all around better phone for a lot less money is more than just a 'value for money' issue these days. BB has completely and utterly missed the plot. I am and always will be a BB purist but they have to realise that a Keyboard is not reason enough these days to buy an expensive phone. In fact, it's not a reason at all....
Making mid range phones and selling them at premium prices is bad enough, but then taking them and 'dumbing' them down and selling them for higher mid range phone range is stupid. BB has a hard enough time as a brand name now without jokes being made, doing stuff like this TCL isn't helping it at all.

A great looking device, 1/2 the price (almost) of the new low-end i-phone that is due to be announced in September. Very excited to have it as a replacement device. I do wish it was in black, but other than that. Hey, Keven, if you get in touch with the grand designers at Blackberry, I would love to see a "classic" style phone too.
CK are we really talking about colours. I like you but you're faking it here. This phone is garbage, no matter how they dress it. It's a huge downgrade to an already downgraded Key2. Who in their right mind @ TCL would green light the removal of the capacitive keyboard. I'll be giving away my K1 BE to charity and pretend I didn't have hope for BBRY.
Great video !!!! I like it!! Anyway Key2 LE is still great with pure black version!! If i have enough money I'll buy both Red and Black version of the LE :v Or may be 1 pure black Key2 and 1 red for the LE
well I'm gonna say.... I feel we are all too spoiled with all the high tech toys that are available to us today. That included all the makers. And another thing, it's ok for Iphone and other companies to charge high prices but not ok for BlackBerry.... Iphone has tried to re-invent the wheel. Surprise, surprise. The wheel has been invented. Maybe I'm just old school but, I rather be on my computer or laptop then to be using a given to me mini Ipad. I have a friend that has a Samsung tablet and I enjoy using his over my mini Ipad. I used my son's S8 Samsung the other day and let me tell you I dropped it like a hot potato, and went to my Q10. cause my PRIV is in for a tune up. Even though it's not the real BB i see now why I stay with BB. It's a no brainer. Even though the new BB's now-a-days all they are is an off-breed to make people happy. End of story. Still to this day, when I feel lonely, I put my sim in my Q10 and I enjoy my Real BB and that's my Q10. Even though it's only good for phone and surf the internet when needed, it is still way ahead of any phone out there. BB was and still is way ahead of anyone else making phones. The BB phone's are business oriented and are also good for pleasure for the young minded gamers. Why didn't BB stay with the real BB and just modify the software to accept the Android world of apps is beyond me. And further more the physical QWERTY key board is the real thing, really it is. Anyway that's just my 2 cents worth. I say stop bellyaching and enjoy what maker that tickle your fancy. TO me, BB is still the best one out there hands down.
