No problems using my Passport here in Europe: can make and receive calls, send/receive emails and texts, watch RU-vid, access the internet (via Google not Bing anymore), and read ebooks (so much more comfortable than on narrow screens)_ What is funny is that people who are not too much involved in phones (i.e. NOT the Apple cultists) are super-excited when they see my Passport and ask "where can I get that?"
I only miss two phones in my long life of 73 years: my BB10 Blackberry Z30 and my Nokia Lumia 925 Windows phone. Those operating systems were so slick, so unique, and utterly gorgeous. Time does not always march on. It too often slogs into the future leaving the better behind. Alas. PS At least I still remain a deviant. Still using my Nextbit Robin. :)
Watching this on my BlackBerry Priv which surprisingly has become stable and w/ out a single restart in 3 weeks now. Even tho I do love my daily (pixel 6a) I always swap my SIM back into the Priv on my days off - still, after all these 8+ years, nothing quite like it out there
Passport is cool and all but I have working BlackBerry Classic Q20 which was the last BBOS phone with trackpad and physical keyboard. I still use it everyday along with iPhone 15 pro max. The best part is cellular network is also working so calls and texts are working but due to google policy I had to use app specific password to access my emails. Not a big deal but I still love and enjoy it
BB Passport was and still is the best designed phone to date. All BB had to do to bring it forward for the masses was keep it passport size with full screen with Priv type slide out from behind.
Happy 40th to…us!…also i just bought two more Blackberry Passport AT&T (for 80$) just activated and added to my collection of 4 Passport BB10 and 1 Android Version 🎉
Awe thanks santa STEVE! Nothing says Xmas like boiling frogs! 😂 That mini series on Amazon I hope is accurate to the actual story of BB. Because I have a better appreciation for the tech they brought to the market. Someone should make the passport as a tablet slightly bigger and wider. Hell if Nokia and Polaroid can have devices well. Have a great new year steve!
I’m getting an OG Titan at the beginning but of the month, to be extra and have it as a second phone. 😂 I want a sidekick and I miss the bb curve and danger hip top sidekicks and palm treos 😩 the passport is another one I’ll buy just for fun and nostalgia
Quick question I purchased a Blackberry Classic Q20 cdma model for Verizon and it only received and sent out texts I got on the phone with customer support and couldn’t get the phone to work at all. I then went and activate mint mobile sim and put it in my verizon Q20 but it didn’t work at all even though it recognized it was a GSM sim I really want to use a Q20 any recommendations im thinking about ordering a GSM Model and trying to get it on mint mobile.
just pulled my q10 out of storage. it was left on stand by mode for over 2 years and when i turned the screen on it still had 11% left! I am dumping my iphone for this minimal phone
