Welcome to Part Three of Three. Twenty years ago in 1995 I took our camcorder into town with us and I just filmed as we walked through the precinct and markets. Little did I know back then that that video would as of this day in June 2015 have almost 19,000 views on RU-vid!! I left my old town back in 1993, Because I didn't like the way the town was going, I still don't like the modern town.I wont be moving back, But I cherish my memories of growing up in the early 60's, as a youngster. It was a wonderful town.

I know exactly how you feel. I have moved away from the town and on the occasions I have been back, it really hits me how deprived and run down the town is. I'll treasure my memories of my 59 years there.

Thanks for posting this series. It was very interesting to see that area of the world. The older I get the less I like the new replacing the old in general. That may just be human nature though. We all seem to prefer those things we know and are comfortable with. Thanks.

A thoroughly enjoyable video (enjoyed parts 1 and 2 as well). What a long way Blackburn has come! Some aspects of it have changed beyond recognition, but nice to see the good blend of the old and new. Apart from some of the unforgivable acts of desecration by the local authority (Pulling down grand old Victorian buildings, and replacing them with concrete monstrosities) at least the cathedral quarter has been upgraded with some sympathy, and is the Gem in Blackburn's crown. Once again, thanks for uploading and sharing!

My pleasure Frank. Thank you for your comment, really appreciate it. The big problem Blackburn has like so many of our Northern towns is that the council tarts up the centre whilst areas outside the centre are left to spiral into a filthy mess.

it's now an arcade with a lot of salons in - including mine! it's not as busy as i've been told it was, but has been really interesting to see the history
