This my first time ever seeing these guys perform live on stage after over 45yrs later from Nov.1,2022.Good performance.Love that electric guitar riff tho.
Merry Clayton provided the studio background vocals for “Happy Music.” The soul and gospel singer is best known for singing the duet with Mick Jagger on the Rolling Stones song "Gimme Shelter.” Without her, this live performance comes up short.
While ill agree shes missed but to label this performance as coming up short isnt beared out by what im seeing and hearing... jazz band 1st... horns after all these years.. they sound fantastic most older groups aren't able to keep everyone who adds to the success.. ppl move on die thats life. This band is still tight as a snare
.....NOT sure what YOUR take is on this, Roland - but, MUCH prefer the EDITED-single to album version (ALONG with both Lighthouse's "Pretty Lady" and Clapton's "Hello Old friend", even "Sweet Love" by the Commodores among 70's hits.....)
