I find it easier to just buy lengths of flex cable and cut and solder what I need. Much cheaper, and way quicker and you can set your own lengths. It's funny too, owner of my hobby shop told me that tip.... not that I don't still give them business, but he knows I'll build before I buy it if at all possible
What is the standard for single prop. Right or left hand. I’m changing my stealthwake over to 3/16 flex cable an brushless motor. I’m new to the hobby an I really enjoy your videos
@@bryontnrichards4049 personally I prefer 2 blade prop. 3 blade props are a good all around prop usually giving good acceleration and top end. 2 blade prop has either good acceleration or good top end not so much both.. I like 2 blade props personally
Hey iron clad love the channel can you give us the part numbers or part sizes for stuffing tube flexshaft ect I recently broke my stuffing tube and cant find one for the boats
Cant seem to find the parts I need to get it fixed I noticed you used a brass stuffing tube maybe I can do the same thing but cant seem to find much online
Curious if purple pvc pipe primer would soften abs plastic enough to except epoxy resin better. Maybe use all purpose pvc cement (very little) and 3m 5600 for a top coat glue. When I do repairs on boat decks I always glue it down with 5600. That stuff last forever. I'm not a big fan of using epoxy over fiberglass or anything really. The molecular bond is not there just mechanical bond. I wonder if there is a small enough flap wheel to scuff up the plastic to give the epoxy more bite on the surface.
Yea like 40/50 grit sand paper will do it for a good bond, scuff and should get a good bond. I'd stay away from pvc cement/ primer I've thought about that as well but you got to figure pvc pipe is a tight bond once pushed onto each other? Ya know
Permatex plastic welder is better than epoxy on plastic and Fibreglass or by it’s industrial equivalent name methacrylate MA310 3600 pounds per square inch of adhesion. Although permatex dries faster Best I have used
