This video goes into detail how you can zoom in and center on a TrackPoint. For example, say you want to center in on a thrown a ball and you want to track the ball and center the view thereon(or be slightly offset as I described at 9:30). You can do this very easily with a merged tool and using some modifiers in an expression.
I also described how to have a hand off from one flow of video nodes to another set of nodes using the simple merge and key framing the blend. This allows you to easily switch from one flow of nodes to another flow of nodes which is generally somewhat visually easier in layered base compositing.
