reupload in 4k Unboxing the Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pro and seeing if this lens works. Canon 18-135mm Nano USM lens with Power Zoom adapter. #BlackmagicStudio6kPro #Blackmagic #StudioCamera
Unfortunately I’m pretty sure it’s because Canon themselves didn’t expose servo zoom control to the EF mount and it’s only capable of being controlled with the hardware buttons on the servo module.
Hey nice channel. My lens works with the focus demand but not the zoom. However I am able to use the zoom demand to start and stop record, do touch focus, change ND and more, so it’s actually still more useful to me than the focus demand.
the Electrical DEDICATED Contacts on the underside of the lens communicate with the power zoom attachment. This means sadly that it won’t work with other existing or Future zoom lenses controls natively that get instructions from EF mount unless someone write a specific code to receive remote commands also i am assuming you have ATEM Switchers 9.0 &Camera 8.0 update for now the remote zoom is via the Canon Camera Connect app
Congrats! I want to purchase 3 studio pro 6k and 1 12k Ursa mini pro camera for my recording studio to make my music videos and musical concert movies.
I see so many inconveniences: this is not a parfocal lens so you wont be able to zoom-in focus and recompose. It is not a constant aperture so when you zoom in the picture will darken. It is not compatible with BMD zoom and focus demands. It is not powered from the camera, you can end up running out of batteries during the livestream. Zoom range is limited (7x -ish) and the zoom speed sure it is very slow. That said, this setup would only be suitable to talking heads. Other than that, its better to go for a broadcast b4 lens.
If it's auto focusing it's already zooming. I'd suggest consider a dslr which is made for none studio. 3800 seems alot. Does sigma lenses work on this studio camera
Hey, nice video. BM has released an update this week that covers this issue. Please test it out and update us. I’m still undecided what lens to buy for our studio 6k camera.
