Ritchie Blackmore talking about his collection of the most valuable guitars, Stratocasters and acoustic ones, very rare video, very interesting information High quality DVD-Rip
You know, after all is said and done, I think Richie might have came out at the top of the Rock guitar world. Defined a sound in the Rock world, a steady career all his life, healthy, has his song rights, he still has the lifestyle (cars, guitars, private jets), and still keeps his anonymity. Hardly a boring moment in his musical career, moving from cutting edge Rock ..all the way to Medieval music. He's continually doing what he loves. And, he's married to Candice! The only 'drug' he needs! Seriously, there are not many that can say they had all that in one lifetime :)
Ritchie's humour is so dark it's awesome. This is what made him come off as an asshole to past band mates and such, but it's also part of his charm. I'm laughing watching him and his daughter interact in this video.
Ritche Blackmore is brilliant and the way he talks about his guitars on this video is very special. He found his Shangri La with Candys Night, and he does whst he loves to do.Isn't that wonderful ? I think it is !
Ritchie Blackmore ~ The Super 🌟 Star of a guitarist and known for his awesome songs of Rock 'n Roll ~Always will be remembered for his great performances !
@@otnoirhc watch the end of california jam. They are not cheap copies. They are all new fenders. In 1974 nobody was making cheap copies that looked anything like that
@@lanenordgren7641 any regrets ? I just can not stand the sound of single coil pickups....I have never played a Telecaster w/Humbuckers and would really like to see how Fender stacks up w/'em.......IMO, GIBSON's are the STANDARD when it comes to guitars. RB copied Hendrix and it is why RB switched...and then, Hendrix switched to GIBSONs towards the end due to too much STATIC in his tone....Hendrix went to a '67 Flying V Standard and a '63 SG CUSTOM, both are TOTAL BAD-A$$ GUITARS ! w/non static tone !
@@bryanmannoia8410 He probably had/has a few more somewhere which are not worth being mentioned. Also at least years ago he had a warehouse where the old Marshall´s were stocked, etc.
Ritchie your cats gravitate to that room because you don't clip your guitar strings off at the ends ... they like to play with the springy ends.... clip them off and breathe my friend.
Ciao
A-200 and catch the rainbow need to be played almost weekly since the 70's.... So many works of art way ahead of their time listening to today's music. Thank you for all the offerings of a few lifetimes. Thought the middle pickup was out on his strats? maybe that was just for a time...
I can only hope that when I'm Ritchie's age, I can look so good, and have such a beauitful wife. And still play the guitar so amazingly. I just hope he makes many more albums before....
I love the way his fingers move when he plays its a type of structured fluidity that effortlessly blends fire and air into a harmonic convergence of oh what the hell am I talking about lol
what a legend.....I just love this musical artist for his obvious musical brilliance. Blackmore also exposes the pathetic aspects of guitar heroes and ridiculous egos in the rock and roll industry. His wife Candice is fantastic and just lovely - great musician in her own right. Lots of Deep Purple and Rainbow fans and other individuals in the music industry have been a little bitter and vindictive in their judgement of Blackmore's shift away from his early years. this says more about them than it says about Ritchie. Keep up the great musical journey you are on. loving it
+Peter Kan An interesting take on him. Ritchie refuses to allow anyone to tell him what to do. Like most anyone who has enjoyed his work, I'm very familiar with DP and Rainbow. I'm going to dig into Blackmore's Night, and absorb what he did with that...style of music. He's an all-time great that, for whatever reason, is roundly ignored by his contemporaries in England - Page, Beck, and Clapton. I have no idea why that is the case. I've yet to find any comments from either of those three on Blackmore. Why is that? In any event, Blackmore deserves a place among the pinnacle of the great influential guitarists from England.
@@oopsydaizi3s824 Lol. I got your reference . saw an interview a while ago where Ritchie said he was gonna hire some Swedish guys for beating up Ian Gillan in a dark alley
I like all of it. When I was a kid these actors came into our school, and played medieval music, and I enjoyed it. Then when I was in my 20s I ended up buying a 62 reissue polar white strat. One day I will buy a banjo or mandolin. I don't know why some people try to pigeonhole others when there are so many great types of music to enjoy, and experiment with.
Look, still has the old tag on, never even played it. You've just bought it? Don't touch it, no-one We'll I wasn't going to touch it, I was just pointing at it. Well, don't point! It can't be played, never. I mean I've never eve.. Can I look at it? No. no. That's it, you've seen enough of that one.
I seen Blackie's first guitar during the in rock album ES-335 go for sale Christy's had a lucky guy from Connecticut for 20k. His x in Germany needed money. So low key that a guitarist of his magnitude only pledged to 20K. It boggles the mind.
i sat beside her at a deep purple gig in scotland just before he left. i spoke to her a number of times and she was just snooty thought she was better than everyone....still pretty i should add...
I actually strapped on and briefly strummed the Fender Stratocaster that Ritchie played at Edinburgh Odeon 1972. It was all white and for years I had a photo of him playing it all dressed in black that night that I took from front of stage but it didn't survive the years. Me and a mate helped the roadies pack up the gear after the gig and as it was still just proped up against summit I asked if it would be okay to strap it on. I was only 16 and couldnt afford a real Fender Strat myself so you can imagine what a moment that was. My mate took a few photos but without any more flash bulbs they were just a messy blurr and not worth keeping. Anyway I remember he had hit that guitar of the P.A. at the end a few times but it wasnt broken. I bet I was thinking, at that age, damn I cant even afford such a guitar and he,s happy trying to break it. Just trivia but I still remember the concert and the before and after.
Very happy that I jumped at the chance to buy one of my heroes signature Fender Stratocaster when I did it's the most beautiful and sexiest thing I've ever seen
Awsome one piece strat. Richie always my favorite guitarist. The only guitars I would love to have sighn my stratocaster. Rock on richie. Rainbow deep purple. I've been to many shows. Deep purple my favorite band all time.
I have been in that room on Long Island. For anyone that tries to say this man is an asshole, or grumpy, or mean all I got to say is you're confused, however I can see him losing patience with a musician who is not truly in it for the music first. .
@@hastyberford exactly. first, the roadie should have told hte luthier not to touch anything except of putting new frets on, and second... how much experience does one have with rock guitars...
I bet that luthier thought Ritchie was going to be so happy with the extra effort, only to get his head ripped off LoL. That is a sparse collection. Very impressive in this day and age.
