... I once had a Spigen mobile case for my BlackBerry phone. During the lock down approx May 2020 I contacted Spigen by email as my case had broken stitching came loose etc and woah and behold there's was a brand new mobile case delivered to my door within 2 weeks of so. Customer service is 10/10!
I believe the little turtle (beside being a reminder of micro plastics in the oceans) is to rest your utensils upon, so that the part you put in your mouth not need come in contact with the dining top surface. And then a minor correction/information: DLC when used in relation to PVD (Plasma Vapor Deposition) usually means Diamond-Like Carbon - not Coating. Great video, and would love to se other colour/color themed gear collections and reviews.
Edc27 is a real winner. What’s crazy about it is that the 1000 lumen mode actually runs till the battery dies. Like not even many larger lights cannot hold 1000 lumens for more than a few minutes. And I’m not talking about turbo. It’s built in heat sink is really innovative The 3000 lumen burst is just icing on the cake
Hey Jon just so you know NewYork has a pretty strict knife carry law that is very open to interpretation to the policeman that its illegal if its openable one handed by flicking as they call all of them switchblades. this may apply to other states as well.
A great option for a more affordable watch would be the G-Shock DW-5600BB-1ER. It’s the completely blacked out version from the classic 5600 range. It even has the negative display and is a rock solid as you’d expect from a G-Shock. It can be found for around £80. Very happy with mine.
Be careful with that nitecore. It's been burning holes in people's pockets and melting itself, even burning some folks. The lockout can unlock and get stuck on turbo. I recently was in the market for these flat edc lights specifically because I had a nitecore tini 2 which cracked on the screen when I dropped my keys. Ultimately I decided on the streamlight wedge. It's just solid and gets you 1000 Lumens max. No strobe but also no melted pockets; some things are a trade off.
It has two lockout options and not easy to unlock accidentally - turbo needs constant pressure too - so hard to imagine how this would cause this problem

The turtle in the cultery set can be used as a chopstick rest, keeps them cleaner if you need to set them down whilst eating. The flat depression on the top it it's she'll is what you'd rest them on.🐢
Great selection. The Spigen clip is a deluxe take on the Zak Tool ZT52 Keyring Holder that is part of my setup with the Orbitkey Key Organiser and the Prometheus Kappa Quick Release joining them together. Putting together a Key solution that works has taken up more time than I care to admit :)

Great vid as always👍 Maybe the next time you do a blackout vid you could add the Skillcraft B3 Aviator multipen as a pen option. It would be a perfect opportunity as it's an all black multipen and it is a Fantastic multipen imo.

I actually prefer the Sea Turtle to the other Seal Luminox blackouts, and it's under 200 bucks now in the US. Love the Nite core flashlight too. You have some great choices here I was gonna run to get that knife until I heard it doesn't lock. I could never carry a knife without a lock. Call me paranoid, but I would let be able to use it for anything without constantly worried about it closing on my hand
If you don’t like non-locking knives then you’d hate those double detent ones. It takes almost no force to close them, even compared to a normal slip joint. If you’re after a UK legal knife then maybe look at the Spyderco UKPK or the Twisted Assisted Junzi. They don’t lock but the inclusion of a finger choil means that your fingers should be protected even if it did start to close on you. Both very nice knives.
I hope you ordered the new 2023 Swiss Spirit - Companion with the new box opener tool in it. Would like to see a review of it and show how you can still open a can with it if needed. $85 but walnut scale SAK's always cost a lot more and with all of your Patreon money that is almost nothing to you
Great video Jon thanks as always. I only wish I’d seen the Trayvax bullet before I went out and purchased the Rite in the Rain pen (with the Fisher cartridge) you featured on your Amazon haul video. The Trayvax’ compactness would be perfect for any EDC pouch if you’re not into pocket carry.
I want to point out something pretty important. The longevity of the magnetic strip, chips and other elements can be impaired if scraped against each other under the force of a thick rubber band. Therefore, the above wallet effectively limits this type of wear. (And of course, cards always seem to pick an inopportune time to break - maximizing embarrassment potential.)

Word of warning on the civici, they tend to not harden the steel very well. I would suggest looking at Kizer for similar budgets. Not sure they have nonlocking stuff, but the quality is MUCH higher for the same price.
So I am looking for some BLACK key rings to attach stuff. Gazillions available but not supporting EDC guys. Do you have any recommended EDC key rings. Smaller ones to attach a single key to a carabiner. But nice one or unique. Hope you understand. I am very thankful for your outlet on RU-vid.
Spigen phone cases are the best. Got an armor version which is grippy and save my phones dozens of times. Bloody cheap too. That watch, i have that i think, more accurate than expected. Seems too light and plasticcy, but it's good. I did add a nato strap, because the rubber strap smells :-)
Always interesting information. I thought I heard one odd thing and replayed it a couple of times to be sure. You gave the weight of the clipper as 38 g or 2.3 oz. I couldn’t find any other data about the item’s weight online, but 38 g would be 1.3 oz (2.3 oz would be 66 g). I suspect you meant to say 1.3 oz.
hi Jon when you say flick knife i presume you mean switchblade which would mean automatic knife, if you have to touch the blade at all its not an automatic knife, hence still legal carry in UK otherwise any knife with assisted opening namely hole like spyderco or thumb stud. they would be classing flick knife.

First, as always, let me say, great video and great choices of excellent gear. I hate to harp on this but I was shocked at 4:26. Your laws over there... When they've outlawed knives, what will be next? Screwdrivers? Hammers? Pliers? Wrenches/Spanners? Cricket bats? I can understand people being afraid of guns, these days a lot of people have never handled one and people fear the unknown. But doesn't everyone use a knife in the kitchen every day? A fixed blade knife with a blade over three inches long? Why are the UK government and courts so afraid of tools with edges?
It does seem heavy handed in response to what is mainly young people carrying knives (usually kitchen knives) 'to protect themselves' - a confrontation can then result in a stabbing instead of a punch up. Legislation then impacts negatively on the vast majority who are now more at risk without a locking mechanism when using a knife legitimately..

Knives feature in most of your reviews which is understandable. You are always very careful to say whether or not the knife you are discussing is legal for carry in this country (England and Wales) which is obviously extremely important information. As you point out from time to time, the law on this is complicated. Apart from whether the blade locks or not, the other criteria you always mention is that the blade length must be less than 3 inches. The legislation certainly does apply this test to the blade but is it not the "cutting edge" that has to be less than 3 inches rather than the whole blade? This may be important, e.g. in the case of some Victorinex pen knives where the blade is non locking but longer than 3 inches. However the cutting edge is less than 3 inches so it is, I believe, potentially legal to carry. In my opinion, the legislation on this in England and Wales is illogical and over complex but we are stuck with it. I think your videos are excellent and really enjoy them. Thank you for all the work you put into this.

If the Foldis is considered a ‘flick knife’ it is not even legal to own it in the UK. I have had two CRKT symmetry confiscated by Border Agency which have a similar deployment method.

I mean, you can look how many of them you find on the street, and there's not that many of them. I always found it weird how people say "do your bit for the environment to save marine wildlife". Well, I do my bit for the environment every time I throw plastic items in the bin. I also do my bit when I pay the council to clean the streets. And despite all this, there is still a ridiculous amount of plastic that ends up in the sea. Has anyone wondered why? Could it maybe be because *_the government_* is shipping all this garbage overseas so it can fall off boats or end up in countries that do not care about the environment? I don't understand why I need to do the government's bit as well, considering I am paying them for it. If the government wants me to stop using disposable plastic, then they better lower my taxes since they no longer need the extra money to handle all that plastic. I really wish people started realizing who is really to blame for garbage in the seas.
Common sense is not common as to the knife and criminals. A criminal can have a dinner at a restaurant and take the steak knife and Carrie out his crime and then what.
