People have their different taste in music but I could tell that the girls worked really hard on this MV so I’m really proud of them. Just looking how much they have grow and improved in the k industry! Not everyone will like this song but I think it’s a whole different vibe and it’s one of my favorite.

I feel like it’s lower in key than their other songs because they usually sing and rap in higher pitch. It’s pleasing to hear this especially for the singing parts in my opinion. It’s not that often in Kpop that people (especially girls) with lower registers get to sing along without having to lower the key (especially with the instrumental) themselves

They really be like mixing Urban hiphop and kpop at the same time. I know most 90's kpop fans will definitely like this.

i personally LOVED the very beginning part where they keep chanting “blackpink” and i wish they would’ve done more with that cuz it just sounded so cool!

People think it's the same.....but I see the difference like you. Similar structure like how a YG song would be, but it's also different and fresh. This is why I love this comeback. Their tones for the chorus is different which is nice to hear from Jennie and Lisa. Their rap sections are killers and love the 80s-90s rap vibe. Its definitely both of their era forsure.

Lisa said the dance break is the hardest and coolest BP dance break if the main dancer says that we believe it 🤘🏻

Coming from a blink since their debut, this is the first time I am thrown off very much by the chorus and the outro.. id have to admit its very different and quite experimental for them... they even didnt say "BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA"... HOWEVER IM A SUCKER AND A CLOWN FOR THEM, i gave it a couple more listens with earphones, without them, full max volume audio, on speakers.. And IM GLAD AND RELIEVED TO SAY I LOVE IT SO MUCH NOW.. I won't pretend the chorus is not the weakest point of the song to me but I do think it's a solid pre-release and the rest of the song is so strong this is a time where I feel like their talents don't feel underutilized for any member. Like anyone watching this can see how much the BP girls slay. I think with repetition I would still play this the chorus doesn't ruin it for me or anything but I do feel like there's a direction that they could have taken it in that would have made this one of the best BlackPink songs of all time.
