why bother reacting at all if all you’re gonna talk about is their clothes and “rhinestones” and make shallow comments. stop talking over them too Jesus. appreciate their talent, choreography and the song'.
This is just a theory explaining the MV but there are a lot of other theories surrounding WHISTLE MV that are from fans but this one is my favorite. The theory was..The MV was all about Blackpink creating and connecting to the fans (BLINK) and take over the world. At first the girls bought and played a game called BLACKPINK ( they are playing their life as idols in the game). Then, they made a controller (referring to the fans) they built their own fandom who will eventually help them decide on playing the game. The controller on the tank with fishes (refers to how they treat their fans) They put the controller on the tank with their pet fishes showing how they value the fans like a family. At the middle of the music video the fish tank was shown again but it has a lot more fishes so they have to make another tanks (refers to how the fast fandom grow). Due to the fandom growing more it becomes over crowded and a lot more people wants to give them different resuts and futures which caused chaos (That's why they are driving but they just keeps on going in circle than moving straight) At last is their destiny, they sit on the pink world, meaning they are on the top dominating all over, from making the pink controller, fish tanks appearing with pink lights to covering the world making sure we (fans) can't get out or leave coz once we do that, the BLACKPINK game will be game over. P.S I'm really really sorry for this LOOOONG comment (˘・_・˘)
They entered into YG's trainee program at 16 yo with Lisa 14 yo. Their schedules were 12 hr day with 1 day off every other week. Every month they were required to perform a solo, duet, and group song plus a dance route for evaluation. They lived together in a dorm. The 4 were on average trainees for 5 yrs before their debut in August 2016. They are the most popular and famous Kpop girl group in the world. They also model for fashion magazines, with most issues they are in instantly selling out! They are talented, highly skilled at their craft, professional and have a level of charisma most can only dream of!!
2:38 Oh that's totally not true! Kpop has one of the most hard/complex choreography you'd ever see especially for boy groups. Thank you for reacting to BP tho💙
Let me introduce to the biggest girl group in the world, BLACKPINK (5 record guinnes), the record braker and the first girl group million seller with just their album debut, the name is THE ALBUM, ... Well the song that you recat is Whistle, but you know that this song with boombayah ( please react) are their debut song... this group is formed by 4 girls, JISOO ( visual, lead singer, oldest, a global ambassador of Dior), JENNIE (born in Korea and grew up in New Zeland, main rapper, global ambassador of Chanel), Rosé ( she is from Australia, main vocalist, lead dancer, global ambassador of Saint Laurent and also Tiffany Co), Lisa ( from Thailand, speak 4 lenguages, main dancer, lead rapper, sub vocalist, maknae or youngest, the most followed kpop artist on Instagram more than 53.7M, global ambassador of celine, mac, and bvlgari). Please react to the whole songs. - ddu du ddu du - how you like that -playing with fire -stay -kill this love - lovesickgirls -pretty savage -forever young ... and more
If it’s worth anything, it would be great to see you two react to more Blackpink. Realizing subtitles/captions were needed was key that the 20 or so other reactors on this channel failed to pick up on and you seemed to appreciate more as well. Thx ladies.
Thanks. But wow. In reviews of this MV by Black American rappers they rave about Jennie and Lisa's rap flows. Producers and singers reviews rave about Rose's and Jisoo's vocals and the fact that you have such a complicated amalgamation of genres, going from a rap to acoustic guitar/country vibe, with some elements of Latin music and R&B strewn in. And you on the other hand are commenting on rhinestone necklaces and modes of transportation. But can't blame you really, in the West we are so used to dumbed down, silly music videos that have no depth or messages, with stupid simple beats and lyrics, of course you aren't going to take a review of a music video seriously. If you want to see someone take it seriously, check out the English Priest reacts to Blackpink's How You Like That. As complicated as the visuals and the music arrangement are in How You Like That, the depth of meaning and symbolism is out of this world. In the English Priest reacts to How You Like That, a Cambridge University graduate (yes that University) discusses in depth of meaning and symbolism conveyed scene by scene. The video's scenes depict females overcoming oppression to achieve empowerment/revenge/self-determination, using Greek Mythology with each of the members representing a different Greek Goddess/daughter of Zeus and the different scenes are different seasons during the year based on a certain Greek story. The music video even addresses the rash of kpop idols committing suicide due to hateful attacks and continual harassment on social and news media. "Look at You" (you worthless hateful POS that brings nothing but negativity into the world) "Now look at me" (beautiful, talented, young, bringing happiness, inspiration and hope to my fans and the world). Blackpink does not play nice or turn the other cheek with their haters, and yes they have haters. These girls are "pretty and savage", with the chorus to their most popular MV depicting them gunning down their haters ("DDu Du DDu Du" is the title of the MV, which you will see is the sound of gunshots). Again, in the West we are so used to such dumbed down, simplistic music videos, when we see a BP MV our brains aren't prepared to process the data dump of different music genres, complex themes, amazing beats/vocals/raps, tremendous visual artistry and overwhelming beauty/talent displayed. Or go see ANY review by rapper Knox Hill of a Blackpink song. No hate to you, just pointing out an alternative way of conducting a review. You don't have to go crazy intellectual like the English Priest or Knox Hill's in-depth discussion of how BP melds different musical genres, but you may want to make a serious attempt to recognize what is unique and different and fresh in the music at least, and the level of musical/visual artistry that BP and their company are trying to achieve in the MV's that is absent from 90% of American MV's.
I really wonder if this channel is just one big experiment to see how we will react to the most annoying people reacting to Blackpink. No one likes this channels reactions because they don't really care.
Exactly.. literally all reaction from this channel is the worst ever.. i tink school kids are doing better job in reaction videos.. and yet they wit all setup wit more ppl sucks
this reaction is so force lol the comments are so shallow just don't react if you're not that really interested to know them you're just here for clout
There doesn’t have to be a scripted storyline to be a beautiful video. Could just be a series of beautiful shots. Korean m/v’s are 64 steps ahead of western m/v’s.
My goshhhhhh !!!! I dont think you even listened to the song...You hear it..you dont listen to it !!!! Not an honest reaction..Just a "Lets get this over with"reaction.Disappointing !!!!😒😒😒
