People are critical to babymonster, but especially ahyeon, and their not being nice about it. It honestly looks to me that she’s just excited to debut as her dreams have come true, and didn’t know how it appears to the audience with her high level of energy
I really hope 2NE1's global tour is actually global so I don't have to fly to Asia just to see them...but I will highly consider it as someone who has been a fan since Lollipop as well who regrets never seeing them live.
It's because most of the criticism is not coming from sincere, principled people. It's mostly from "haters" (aka fans of other groups or idols). All they're doing is looking for an angle of attack. If attack "X" doesn't work, they'll use the opposite of "X". Hopefully, Ahyeon will not pay any attention to the relatively small number of these kinds of "critics". If she needs advice and mentoring it will come from inside YG. For the most part, she's been doing a fantastic job in all of her performances and the best thing to do is to ignore advice coming from people who actually want her to fail.
Everytime I see a dating rumour about wearing the same clothing I feel like it's so dumb cause they be acting like you can't buy the same clothes or accessories at a store or like it was specially made for the idol by their grandmother in 1890 and there is only one of it's kind😭

A lot of companies look at things by quarters. It’s really not that unusual. And YG’s financial situation has been a big topic for a while since Blackpink was in renewal talks. Just saying it was a smart media move, and financial move for investors, to make this big announcement for all the comebacks after their last quarters numbers came out. And, like I said, I am all for all of these comebacks and concerts. YG has been a lot better with the follow through lately. Just saying, I’ve been burned by them in the past. So I’m not going to get my hopes set too high just in case. I’d rather see the expectation bar low and be proven wrong than have high expectations and get upset when they don’t meet them.
While using the red cross is bad, I think the outrage is just another case of female idols getting hate for no reason. You can see how quick the knetizens are to protect The Boyz for doing the same thing, suddenly sexualizing the profession wasn't a big deal anymore, similar to how male idols have not gotten hate for wearing other uniforms in the past, I distinctly remember the praise for Jungkooks police uniform. Knetizens of the female kind have a culture of bullying other women relentlessly which extends to their treatment of female idols. If a female group wins an award over a male group they will mean mug their victory speech and plug their ears during the encore, they will take any opportunity to hate on female idols. That is why this nurse outfit thing got any attention at all. The Red Cross should have just told them "hey don't use that please" and that should have been the end of it. This also explains the large amount of Ahyeon hate recently. Korea has a culture of competition to be the biggest hater and female kpop fans bring that against female idols, likely out of jealousy.
Jungkook police outfits weren't sexualized. He's uniform was decent. Why bts or Jungkook as an example. Many k-pop male idols already wear police or doctor outfits in MV. Many Korean female actresses wear police outfits in many dramas. If it's okay if their tshirt/ crop top were decent ( i mean not too much revealing or sexualizing) their shorts are also too short. I don't have any problem with what they wear. They're grownup women they can wear anything they want. I don't stan them. If you represent anything or want to spread a proper message through a symbol then your outfit should be decent. 5 girls looking like girls in a p*** video. In 18+ video nurses wear this kind of outfit.
I was the same with the 2NE1 tour announcement lol. I was sitting there like how do I get the money together to go to Korea or Japan and was trying to figure out my budget before I saw that it was a global tour. I have a much better chance of going if they have a show in NYC. I only got into 2NE1 in 2014 but they were the first group I loved in kpop and have watched their concerts on youtube so many times
I feel like the "ahyeon lazy dancing" is soooo stupid. Like she gets hate for over dancing and now where she tones it down a little they call her lazy? Though I have to admit that her "over dancing" can be a bit of a trouble because she may outshine the rest of her group members. I think she should just tone it down just a tiny bit but still looking like it has energy. Plus i think they need to put her beside asa/ruka in the choreographies since in 'Forever' she dances beside pharita. Pharita dances more relaxed making ahyeon's "over dancing" stand out more.
The difference is that Gidle is sexualising a job. This isn't just shorts and a top. It's sexualising lifeguards. It's really sad that females can't have jobs without their uniform being sexualised for example: teachers, school girls, doctors, etc. For a female empowering group it's really sad to see them objectify women's work uniform.
I think we'll get a full album for BLACKPINK, usually they go on tour with new album for a bunch of new songs, but I do find it silly that they just got off tour and now they're going back on tour next year, that feels a bit strange to me. It's honestly so funny how many times the red cross law has been broken. G-Idles stylists are far, FAR, from the only people to mess it up. Though I do agree that jobs shouldn't be sexulaized.
The problem was to ask permission in order to use the symbol as it is a Korean law. But of course the company was ignorant and decided to use the outfits. I'm pretty sure a lot of the group's stylists have left/or the company is understaffed. So a lot of their wardrobe has been everywhere in terms of fans saying they don't fit the concept and in this situation where the company didn't ask permission for it.

The company is always the one who has to approve certain things like wardrobe, music and more. If they actually asked for permission or have done something about it, none of the backlash would've happened. But, the company did nothing and just apologized trying to work things out. The company's very lucky not to pay a fine, and for the future they really should take in circumstances that stuff like this could hurt their idols.

People forget, or never bothered to research anything, the whole stink about Jennie's uniform was raised by an organization that obviously just wanted to use Blackpink's fame and popularity in order to get attention and stage press conferences and issue press releases, most likely to help them with recruitment and raising donations. It was just an opportunistic thing...and quite cynically done. It was never any grassroots response from nurses in general. Most nurses couldn't have cared less. Many ordinary nurses commented on social media saying that they didn't see any problem. If we take those kinds of organizations seriously, nobody will ever be able to wear any kind of uniform in any kind of comedy skit or movie.
A lot of real nurses complained about the sexualisation of their job uniform. If you're not a nurse, don't comment on the matter saying "it's no big deal". It's not misogynistic to ask for better treatment for female workers that have to wear uniforms. So many uniforms that women have to be obligatory wearing in their day to day lives are being sexualised because celebrities promote it. Example: school uniform, nurses, office attire, flight attendance, etc. It's good that females in those positions ask for respect. It's not nice to be sexualised wherever you go because of your work uniform you're obligated to wear.

I'm a bit of a nerd so when you mentioned making your own website at 18:15 it got my tech brain intrigued. There are 3 ways to kinda do it. You can use a hosting and web builder provider like square space and wix. The other option is learning how to use wordpress hosting which means you have to learn a more difficult tool but in the end it's a website you fully control and can export but this is more technical. Third option is to just buy the domain and then pay someone on like fiverr to do it for you but I'd say option 1 or 2 is better because you know what you put so you can update it as you please. Option 2 is the cheapest but also the most technical out of them

While I do think that K-netz are very dramatic and I do think this international law is stupid, I have to say, that this is actually a very common issue that happens frequently and multiple games etc. were also forced to change their portrayal of the red cross before (even games like Among us and Stardew Valley) and got a warning. So it's not really K-netz fault imo, it's just something you pick up and have to care about, no matter what your opinion on it is.

I think this comeback will be very important for blackpink when they have their comeback 3 members will have released their debut studio albums. They can’t release the same mediocrity of barely any new songs. I think their next album will be at least 10 songs. Blackpink will be going on a world tour because tours are used to promote full albums it’s a common promotional strategy. This is also why babymonster is going on a world tour their full album is supposed to be coming sometime in September/October. Their fan meeting tour was a preview to test their popularity in Asia before their tour
We also have to remember Ahyeon didn’t necessarily debut with them she probably felt like she had to prove that she deserves her spot in the group to the audience. I feel people are TOO harsh on other people when they would NEVER be able to face the world in the saturated media
They're whole wardrobe this comeback has been very horrible. Some don't even fit the summer concept and they seem like they're performing for another song. Even in a professional award show, their outfits got a lot of backlash for being unprofessional/not fitting the concept once again.

I've been wondering why I haven't been hearing a lot about VCHA lately. Idk why, but it kind of seems that JYPE has been a little lackluster lately (with the exception of Stray Kids, but they are always the exception as they handle most of their stuff themselves). They haven't been uploading English captions for Twice's or ITZY's videos as quickly (or ever) lately either when it used to be right away. I wonder if there's financial troubles?

They have 8 songs total: 7 from their self titled album and "Forever" which makes it 8 songs. YG already announced that Babymonster will release a full album in Fall 2024 (Sept/October). Babymonster can also do cover songs with each member. This is what Blackpink did with their first world tour. So it's not impossible to do a concert. YG's not stupid as Social media makes out to be, yes they made mistakes but what kpop company hasn't made mistakes that includes JYP, SM, HYBE and other mid level and small companies. One thing that yg has advantage over other companies is that they know how to put on a show/ concert just look at previous old Bigbang, 2ne1 and Blackpink, ikon, Winner tour concerts as references.
The new girl group is under the black label which has been talk about for months last update we got was that the girl group will be reveal by the end of the summer apparently there are 7 girls under the label and also some of them are famous already

The Red Cross thing is actually about the Geneva Convention. It actually happened with Stardew Valley, where ConcernedApe used a red cross on the clinic's building in the game. He had to change it to green due to accidentally committing a war crime.
