Just to clarify the meaning of KILL THIS LOVE, which can be looked at as a "relationship-ending" song, but whose message is really about being introspective and changing yourself for the better. If you watch the four girls and read what they're talking about, they are each describing the reason why they get into toxic relationships. They realize that they must "KILL" this sort of behavior in order to have a healthier relationship. Jennie, on the black and white swans, discusses yin/yang, she feels that in order to have happiness there must always be sadness, and she knows that she is destined to repeat her mistake. Lisa, the "cereal killer" (sorry, couldn't resist) believes in quantity over quality. She wants it all, even though love to her is a short, sweet sugar high that leaves her feeling empty and needing more. Jisoo, in the church, realizes that she is weak, her stronger future self destroys her with a flaming arrow. And Rosé, driving the car, also causes her own destruction, running herself down in the road, the license plate on her car reads "EGO".

We know a lot of people that do music reactions. We are part of a large group thread. The common thing I see is that most are in this to just boost their subscriber count. I would never name names, but I see so many people talk about BTS and BlackPink gaining them a lot of subscribers. I've seen many of them say they don't even like the music, but since it gains them a lot of subscribers they continue to react. We started reactions last year. It's been a bit shocking to find out just how many fake reactors there are. This isn't to say all are faking it. I've just seen so many people trash talking artists and then continue to post reactions to them pretending to love them just for views and subscribers. We do enjoy BlackPink very much. Many of their songs get played in our house on a regular basis now. We just can't become unpaid promoters of any artists work. Our financial situation is already tight enough. If we spend hours everyweek promoting artists that copyright claim all of our work that is covered by fair use our children would suffer in the end. We only react to artists we enjoy, and if we stop reacting to them due to copyright we still support them privately.

Ngl im not the biggest K-pop fan but i cant deny that BlackPink is killing it. Everything they do they do 100%. Their songs are catchy, dances are are dope and their videos are spectacular. And when i found out that they rarely use green screen their videos become even more amazing.

Nope, you're just touching on the message of the song - it's about 'killing' toxic 'loves', whether it's a relationship with someone, an addiction, a bad habit, poor self esteem, too - egocentric, a desire for instant gratification, an inability to care about others, or whatever it is that's unhealthy and causing you harm. If you keep those in mind when re-watching, you should pick up on which scenes are refering to them, and more. It's one of their, or anyone's, strongest "self power" songs - be strong, be true to yourself, and don't let negativity weaken or harm you.

Good reaction. It is actually one of Blackpink's most deeply symbolic music videos, layered with Freudian theory of the war between logical self and hedonistic self, and Greek Mythological symbolism (Hedonistic love vs. selfless love). If you want to understand it you should check out British Priest Reacts to Kill This Love where they get deep into the symbolism.

The scene with the headpiece is meant to resemble an eye. The vocalist (Jisoo) sings about "crying tears of blood" which refers to having bloodshot eyes from crying over her. If you look at the scene again you see the shape of an eye behind her, her head is the pupil and the headpiece is the bloodshot streaks in the eye.

‘Kill This Love’ centers on a toxic romance and how one can deal with its negative consequences. The lyrics speak of the torment a person can face when she is in love with a guy. This may involve emotional and mental abuse. The premise of the song is about finding one’s personality within an avalanche of feelings. When someone is in love, they can so easily forget who they are. More often than not, they will end up relying on their partner for gratification. This can be severely damaging to the person because they are gradually robbed of their individuality. BLACKPINK are urging women to be more assertive in their relationships. They are encouraging women to terminate their relationships if things get out of hand. The title ‘Kill This Love’ is an attempt to influence their fans who are facing these issues. It will certainly empower women and girls who are trapped in parasitic cycles of infatuation.

Hope "Lovesick girls" is next! You guys are so cute! I just find this Channel and I love this! Blackpink is the first and only kpop group I stand 😅 (just find them last year and I couldn't help it they are so humble and cute!) all Blackpink Songs are FIRE even their bSides and solos (They have more vocals songs like "stay" "the happiest girl" "you never know"" hope not ") and they cover "So hot" and "SURE THING" (My fav) .To know them better I recommend Short vids like: the guide of Blackpink, Blackpink: Journey and friendship or some crack Videos of Blackpink ) or check their own video series like: Blackpink house, Blackpink 24/365, B. P. M ( Born Pink Memories) is the Backstage of their current world tour, they have documentaries in netflix and Disney +, interviews with sub and in english and each member have a YT channel where they post vlogs, covers, dance videos, etc. Oh and I highly recommend their live performances Too (Coachella 2019 and 2023 is a must see!) they have so much power on stage 😊

Off camera the girls are much different, they're sweet, humble and very down-to-earth. There's a "Making Of" for all of their music videos which have English subtitles, they're also fun to watch. Pretty sure in the "Laura Croft" scene - the statue that explodes is Aprhrodite - the godess of love. There are little hidden things like that in a lot of their videos. Love them. (and BTS, and Stray Kids, Le Serrafim, Ateez, Exo.. etc...lol)

BLACKPINK is the biggest girl group of all time, with 304 musical awards, it is the most awarded girl group in all history and this past July 4, 2023 they were the main artists at the HYDE PARK festival in London with 65k tickets sold (sold out), being the first kpop act to headline the festival in all of history, the amazing thing is that they only have 38 songs and 7 years of music career.
