Just to help you prevent a catastrophe I'm going to help you with "damage control": It sounds crazy but NEVER call BLACKPINK "the female BTS", and vice-versa. In K-Pop there are vicious fanwars that have gotten steadily more brutal, including death threats against members and filthy comments from toxic fans. The worst fanwar is between BTS fans (ARMY) and BLACKPINK fans (BLINKS). I don't want to get into it, better to leave it alone, as I've seen reactors literally have to close their channels down because of innocent comments that they made. The two groups are very different and have different approaches and appeals, so please just enjoy BLACKPINK and judge them on their own merit. This is BTS-quality arriving to the top of K-Pop and beyond to Hip-Hop and Rap. Not just for 15 year-olds of course. New or familiar, you are right: this is ELITE. Without ever having declined, this "Comeback" is something to celebrate.

they're currently the biggest girl group in the world according to rolling stones, the recording academy and the times magazine (and many more) they're also the most subscribed to artist on youtube and the most followed kpop idols on instagram. they're 4, all also very invested in fashion aside from music (they got some of the biggest brands fighting over them and thy're global ambassadors for chanel, celine, dior, ysl, bulgari, cartier, tiffany and more) and they're the biggest kpop group next to bts, you should check some of their songs like how you like that or ddududdudu (not my personal favorites but two of their most famous). also they're not the female bts, but blackpink (of course it's understandable you said that since they're the group you know but still i thought it would be good to point it out)
