Hard to love reaction had me in tears I’m deceased 😭😭😭

THANK YOU FOR CALLING OUT YG ON THE TICKET PROCESS. I was so upset because I took the day off work only to find out that I wouldn't receive a code (people in our group chat started receiving them two/one hours before presale started, and then half of us didn't receive anything). There was a lot of people saying you had to register twice (through weverse and then the blackpink live website). Even then, I (along with others) didn't get any code whatsoever. Other than that, Hard to Love is THAT song.

the way i'm interpreting the message they're trying to send with the mv is that they're closing one chapter (that's why they're shutting down the sets of their old mvs) and opening another one. leaving the "old" blackpink behind and entering a new era. rosé pressing the "up" button in the elevator indicating growth and success and not looking back on their past (closing that chapter) but they're also paying homage to their old mvs and songs 'cause it's what brought them to where they are today. her "praying for my downfall, many have tried" line is giving "we're here to stay whether you like it or not" vibe. just everything about the mv is screaming "goodbye to the old blackpink" to me and i'm excited to see what's next for them.

I think Shut Down is the title track because of the message. With the music video, it's like they are shutting down their past. They don't care about the haters or negative comments. They are going to start this new era of venturing into other styles of music and doing as they want. Telling us that this album is different than the previous songs. Honestly, when i heard The Happiest Girl for the first time, I cried. Never experienced that with them before. it's the most vulnerable song and Born Pink is absolutely different than the past. I think this album has more variety.

My theory is that shut down is the end of an era, smth new is starting for blackpink. Like jennie and lisa closing the doors on d4 tank and the boombayah truck. Also jisoo taking selfies without being afraid of the others judging her, rosé flexing that she will never be on haters level. This is probably gonna be the real deal from now on hopefully:/ i really hope the pink will have a better future as a group with lots of releases!!!

Lisa shocked me a lot with her vocals in this album. I also loved the versatility of Jennie and Rosé's voices. However for me, Jisoo shined a lot on most of the tracks specially in The Happiest Girl. I also noticed her improvements and versatility as she tried new singing styles. Her vocals also blended well with whatever was the genre of the songs in the album. Even on this track, Tally, I loved how she sounded when she sang her parts differently from how she normally sings.
