I've been looking forward to this album because I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the debut album "The Album". Let's see what they have in store for us with "Born Pink". Watch uncut video: / born-pink-by-83246955
I agree! Born pink was a great taste to see what they can do! But it feels so short. It’s such a tease. We need a project with at least 12 songs to be honest. That would be very nice to have a full length project and not just a few songs.
“We are not gonna use vices to suppress our feelings, we are gonna sit in those feelings and FEEL THEM. PUT DOWN THAT BOTTLE IMMEDIATELY ” - Some extremely powerful words Ajay🖤
@@Alexurado I know, I should've emphasized "may not" more because I just meant like in general she's very open to listening to music she may not be able to understand every line of. didn't mean it in a negative way so I hope it isn't taken like that 💓
@@filipmarinkovic6281 No. It should be a surprise. I wish I didn't have read the comments while watching the video. It takes away that spark of knowing "Is she gon like it, or is she gon hate it?".
same i’ve never really been a big fan of kpop but i saw blackpinks coachella performance and was completely blown away,, now i’m gonna go see them at metlife stadium lol😭😭
the way ajay literally get's facts right even when she's not even a blink it's crazy...this woman's knowledge of music it's powerful...i'm so happy she enjoyed the album!
@@sponstrain?? Bts has better music than blackpink, because all blackpink songs follow an exact formula and sound nearly the same. Bts has more diverse and meaningful music. Idk, I’m not a blink or an army, i guess it’s just my opinion
14:45 the voice you love is Jisoo. She has a very nice, deep, raspy and very unique tone. You kept pointing her out through most songs. She also debuted as a solo recently with the songs FLOWER and All Eyes On Me. I understand you bcs she is my favorite voice in BlackPink too!
Hard To Love is a solo song by Rosé, she is an insanely talented vocalist. You need to hear her other two songs On The Ground and Gone both are fantastic. The other girls Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa also have solo songs as well.
Man we need a full album like blackpink can do so many other genres like just listen to their covers too they’re actually very versatile and my biggest hope is they do rnb 😭
Ikr YG is holding them back…like we need their voices in and r&b song like we already heard Lisa in shoong and jennie’s voice in the weeknd song..like I like Teddy and appreciate him but I feel like he doesn’t being out their full potential
@@catsarecooIl Where do you mean, according to your words, their songs are repeated, I mean, Kill this love is similar to LovesickGirls 🤔, or Shut down is similar to STAY,
@Kholod by formula I mean the production. all being produced by teddy was terrible because it really felt like he was holding them back. not trying to hate I just think that most of their songs sound very similar and that's more of a problem because they don't have many songs. they do have some different songs, but it still doesn't ignore the fact that 80% of their songs have the same sound
@@catsarecooIl Not all of their songs sound the same, frankly, maybe a few of their songs are similar, or is their songs few, is this because of a company.
Born Pink Timestamps: Intro 0:00 Pink Venom 0:51 Shut Down 2:41 Typa Girl 4:04 Yeah Yeah Yeah 5:58 Hard To Love 7:41 The Happiest Girl 9:19 Tally 12:36 Ready For Love 14:11 Overall review 15:40
Ready For Love reminds you for their first album because it was made for their first album! it didn’t make the cut, but it leaked years ago and yge was kinda forced to release it because fans wanted it officially released. given that, if you view Tally as the actual closing song of the album, you gain so much more appreciation for it. it’s a nice chill ending to an album full of so many climaxes, while also being a song that stays true to the nature of the album and even who they are as a group by displaying so much confidence and belief in their own self.
True, the entire album itself is a pleasing roller coaster. Tally is INSANE, how it kicked off very savagely with the rock guitar, but ended on a very emotional note switching to a violin with echoey ad-libs. Phenomenal production. P.s. genuinely speaking, Tally never fails to make me burst into tears every time fully listening. Not only a sad song as we literally have THE happiest girl track, but to me it’s so much in one track it’s soulfully captivating and subtly miserable especially if you know the girls very well and what they have gone through in this industry and what are tolerating up to NOW. It’s extremely personal that you have no choice but to relate AND feel deeply for it :)
As a Jisoo stan, I still can't get over her rapping in "Shut Down". I remember my jaw dropping when I first heard it. I also made the SAME face when she started singing in "The Happiest Girl".
Jisoo has a thing where I’m impressed with whatever she does haha, im just in awe of her and when she does something impressive it just hits harder lolll
Hard To Love was my absolute favorite on my first listen and it still is! That song is just perfect, lyrics, production and her voice, I love it so so much. And yes, only one member sings the song, she's Rosé the main vocalist
I didn't understand why many people where angry she had a solo in the album, like miss girl is the main vocalist and golden voice of Korea, respect her!! Also one of my favorite alongside Happiest girl ✨
Okay, I think one of my favorite things about some of AJay's reactions is when she has to start and stop a song all over again because she's so knocked off her feet about the sound in the first 15-30 seconds, I love her 😂
My favorites on the initial listen was Hard to Love (Rosé is my favorite member so this was a given), Yeah Yeah Yeah, and Shut Down but I loved mostly all of them on my first listen. The only one that really took some time to get into was Tally but I also was underwhelmed by Ready For Love but they took out Lisa’s outro. But I do love all of them and I personally like this album more than the first one because it’s different. Here’s my official ranking: 1. Hard to Love 2. Shut Down 3. Yeah Yeah Yeah 4. The Happiest Girl 5. Typa Girl 6. Tally 7. Pink Venom 8. Ready for Love
HER RANKING: 1st - Hard to Love 2nd - Typa Girl 3rd - The Happiest Girl 4th - Shut Down 5th - Ready For Love 6th - Pink Venom 7th - Yeah Yeah Yeah 8th - Tally
I have a feeling she would place The Happiest Girl as 1st, since she loves ballad so much.. But other than that, I couldn’t agree more with this ranking.
this album is great, had different types of songs showing how talented and flexible they are, but its was a bit short, wish there was a better ''final song'' instead of ready for love that we already know for some time. I hope YG lets them make different types of songs like in this album and give them more freedom for lyrics and what they want to do. New solos, new collabs! (i will never forgive them not letting rosé and bella poarch collab)
I love how ayjal is just going through with each album in chronological order it is like she experiencing all the last year with us for the first time as it was
Thank you for reacting to this AJay! Knew you'd love it! Definitely not as hard hitting as The Album, but one thing BLACKPINK is gonna do is come thru with the production!!!
The songs that grew on me are definitely Tally, sonically, and Ready To Love as a whole. It was a leaked song that Blinks aren't always super supportive of, but I LOVE it. It is a very good outro, imo.
BLACKPINK is currently on a world tour "BORN PINK WORLD TOUR" and when it culminates in June 2023 it is estimated to gross 260 million dollars, being the biggest girl group tour of all time, and it will also be the kpop tour most successful in history. In addition, they have already announced an "ENCORE TOUR" in the USA for the month of August 2023 with 5 concerts at DODGERS STADIUM, ORACLE PARK STADIUM, ALLEGIANT STADIUM and 2 dates at METLIFE STADIUM and their tickets are almost sold with 4 months to go. perform.
Pink Venom is definitely a song that grows on you with time! I think it deserves a revisit just like the other songs to make you feel them a little bit more
thank you for your reaction! really enjoyed your thoughts on the album! My favs are Shut Down, Yeah Yeah Yeah, Hard to Love and Tally but I listen to all of them depending on the mood!
I’m so glad that you were able to enjoy this album! I wasn’t blown away by it. I think that Blackpink’s talents aren’t being utilized to their fullest and the production on this album didn’t always feel like it was maximizing its potential. I will say though that “Tally” was one of my favorite B-sides from last year and “Shut Down” has really grown on me! But yeah, you definitely don’t need to have the most innovative production for an album to be enjoyable. I just wish that we could’ve at least gotten more. 8 songs after 2 years of no group releases? And it’s not like the 4 songs Rosé and Lisa released as soloists would take a massive amount of effort to produce. I think YGE is really hindering BP by having Teddy be the primary producer on the group’s tracks. I just hope that we get another group release (even a mini album) before the year is over. Only another 2 songs for Jisoo’s solo felt incomplete. And Jennie’s still stuck with one song. But yeah, so glad that the songs were different from what we’re used to on this one! If BP3 is a fusion of The Album and Born Pink, I think it could easily fall into my top 10 favorite KPop albums of all time!
I love you so much i have no idea how happy your reactions make me. Specially for someone who is currently going through a very bad depression episode this is gold for me
BlackPink doesn't need shouty high pitch songs to hype up fans, their vocals and charismatic tones can kill people, let alone the production and lyric-wise.
@@vernonjc1818 truth! And I believe it's a very good thing, first, it's their forte, 2nd, it won't hurt their vocals and third, it's really refreshing coz most kpop songs wanted to reach high notes but it gets unhealthy.
5:39 - "You better let them know that u all about that BUSINESSSS, alright? You want food in the table? Here's some money, order some food, get a COOK, to cooking some food. Matter of fact, go get some goddamn groceries and cook US some food. Thank u very much". GURLLL, HJSSJAKDHAKAHAHA, PERIODT.
BP ate Jisoo’s voice in happiest girl is mesmerizing. Now imagine if Ajay get into Dreamcatcher’s Apocalypse : save us She would collapse that’s HOW you do a versatile and complete 10/10 album 🧚🏽♀️✨ I mean she would probably love the other projects of DC but imo Apocalypse: save us is really the perfect album as a music lover to get into them real fast and real gooooood. I would pay to see her doing a reaction to them 😭💕
Fun fact: 'Ready for love' reminds u of their debut album cause it was supposed to be on 'THE ALBUM' but it didnt make it to the final tracklist however they decided to add it to the second album lol
I absolutely love seeing your reactions again to newer music! It makes me so happy that you're back. If it's not on your list, I think In Pieces by Chloe is a project you'd enjoy!
