Back in 2015 Blackpool Transport launched their Palladium brand with their ‘chauffeur driven Mercedes-Benz buses’ to quote some of the internal labels - these include full next stop audio and displays, USB charging, leather seats and WiFi. The 10 Citaros C2s numbered 550-559 were predominantly used on routes 5 and 9, the latter has since been withdrawn and the few survivors are found on route 3 as here. They were followed by a huge amount of ADLs from 2016-2020.
With 4 Citaros already sold on, the rest don’t look to have much longer in this seaside fleet. Here I was fortunate enough to find a driver using kickdown despite the slack in most timetables there, nothing amazing owing to the tight roads on this route, but still I hope you enjoy!
