Blackpool Airport to Cark Airfield 

Blackpool Airport to Cark Airfield, Grange-over-Sands on Friday 25th November 2016.
Departing Blackpool in stunning VFR conditions, our route took us over the Pleasure Beach are of Blackpool and then north up the coast, passing Blackpool Tower at 1200’ QNH.
Crossing Morecambe Bay, we transmitted blind calls on the Cark Airfield / Drop zone frequency, not expecting and response as airfield is closed for winter parachuting, although visitors are welcome with PPR.
Landing on Runway 06 and a Europa departed almost immediately.
A tour around the Pac 750 drop aircraft by the airfield owner, who could not have been more friendly and accommodating.
As we started up our engine to depart, the Europa landed.
Our aircraft is PA28-161 a Piper Warrior II.
