So sad to see Blackpool now, compared to me as a 7 year old in the early 70s when it was absolutely jam packed with families and a magical place for kids to experience.😢
This brought back some memories. I was one of The Bel Canto singers, we did a summer season on The North Pier in 1970, Barron Knights top of the bill, also Don McClean later of Crackerjack fame and Peter Gordeno and his dancers, Joe Church and Nigel Hopkins. I often went to Robert's Oyster Bar, 3 oysters 2/6d I wonder how much they are now? We did from May to the end of the illuminations, twice nightly, matinees Wed & Sat. How things have changed!
Once tried going for a ride on a donkey in Blackpool. It was around noon and the donkey chap said they was having their dinner. " What do they get for dinner" I politely asked........ "Half an hour" he replied. Boom tishhhhhh 🥁
I stayed up in Blackpool a few years ago. The best part about my stay there was leaving 😳 🤭😂. OK to be fair, I did enjoy my walks as well, going up the tower and walking on the glass floor, hundreds of feet up 😬😬😬. Also, I went to Preston several times. I loved Preston ❤️. Thanks Charlie 👉❤️👈🇬🇧♥️
Should have taken a walk down the street behind the prom, lots of drama, decay and deprivation round there. Behind the train station is somewhere you would enjoy too. You should definitely return as blackpool is full of photons 👍
You should go back to Victoria station @CharlesVeitch and ask showsec security guards why did you not stopped the bomber in 2017 and why didn’t you spoken to the suspicious person or approached him and asked what he has in his backpack because on the Manchester arena inquiry they were heavily criticised the showsec security guards for not stopping the bomber who was in the city room even the police was criticised too ❤❤❤❤🐝🐝🐝🐝
I was there recently...you don't have to look far for the black...apparently the big Metropole hotel by the sea is full of them, and only them. Cannabis popcorn was the winner...what an ocean-going dump.

To be fair i grew up around Skegness and i have never been to Blackpool. It looks pretty nice out there. Lots of open attractions and really clean and tidy. Maybe a tourism review channel is in order. 😉

@S it’s mostly families who go to Blackpool now , the money they have spent on the place has improved it a lot compared to other seaside destinations. Obviously you still have the weekend groups of drinkers but same with any town centre on a weekend.

You also missed a giant dedicated area of graffiti near the train station 👍 there are some cool graffiti artists from there. Stanley park voted best park in uk is somewhere you should check out too. At night Blackpool is quiet and people are nice...... nicer than Manchester, no toxic, predatory, aggressive egotistical GMP harassing and targeting people.... "wot u fink yer do win? yewot?" It's normal.
