Join me as I walk the famous Golden Mile on a warm & sunny August day in Blackpool, starting at Manchester Square I will make my way to the North Pier. I am wearing a sort of disguise & no hat, which is a rarity. Will I make it to the North Pier without being spotted?

Thanks another great video 📷📷 the pavements are littered and grubby in places like most seaside towns. I remember the Woolworths I did go in, think it was an assorted kind of a market with different stalls. Thanks for the reminder of Lewis's I had forgotten that one.Memories. The fish and chip smells ,burgers , and donuts, I remember a candy floss and toffee apple stall that had hotdogs with fried onions it was very popular. Thank you for taking me back in time. Thanks for the walk its around, this time of year i used to holiday in blackpool when i was a kid back in the late 80s to late 90's and even though somethings have changed a lot has stayed the same like the atmosphere and friendly people.

Hi Stephen...Liverpool Kev here...so relieved you were not savaged by the Blackpool Zoo pelican....You are saving me a fortune in petrol from Southport bringing Blackpool to us...Also saving on ice creams and chips..... although that's a sad loss if not there in person...went to Yorkshire Fisheries chip shop several weeks back..(Second visit).......First class fish chips and service.....seem to remember you went with a few pals... Sarah, I was recently on a flight to Berlin and a RU-vidr I follow was on the same plane. I was starstruck and just couldnt go up to him even though he was just feet away in the departure lounge and seated a few rows in front on board😅😂

The Woolworth building was a class piece of architecture mate. Did they convert the upper floors into pricy flats? The building at the end in front of the tower was nice too. The winter gardens building is lovely as well. Overall some lovely architecture mate.

I think this video captures Blackpool in its prime season so well. You can see just how busy the town is in August. Great to see Katie from Myers Family, I’ve just sent her a parcel to the C.R.A.P. Box. No doubt video will come soon if that. Great vlog Stephen 😊

Thoroughly enjoyed your video Stephen, covering everything one could want along the golden mile, So many vast amounts of shops, never ending, and that’s excluding all other streets with shops in Blackpool. Certainly. You are a guy of many disguises !!! Haha. Great idea, No interruptions lol, A guy of many talents eh ? Covered it all from one end to other, It’s a wrap !!! Nice one Stephen - It took ages but they did a great job of the Premier Inn on the old Yates's site - I've stayed there and it's very nice but despite spending a fortune, they can't be bothered to put the clock to the correct time, it's been wrong for month's now - have a word mate !

Wonderful memories of my late mother and I walking down the golden mile. She loved going in the arcades, the tacky souvenir shops and endless cups of tea in the many cafes. A special atmosphere. I now have difficulty walking so can't get to Blackpool so your video very special to me. Thank You.

Brilliant, nice idea. As usual loads to smile at. Centre Q, the snooker club. My brother Arron used to play alot there. I never did. Do we think the spy glass building fits in? Ha ha ha. No not at all.....but the Tower Building does, the Woolworths building does. Oh and the Old Lewis's building did. I'm sure you get the gist. The best buildings in Blackpool don't fit in at all. It's all about giving character to the town I think. Clever idea, good film. Thank you. Buy some candy floss next time!

I do remember Time Gap bar as you mentioned. Remember going in there and I got covered in shaving foam from a dancer. Went into toilets to wash it off and there was no taps so had to leave club covered in foam. Do you remember Sunday afternoons in Jellies nightclub Steve?

Brilliant Stephen really really enjoyed the walk along the prom video I remember Lewis’s when it was open I’m getting old lol and Woolworths to back in the day me and the wife really looking forward to our annual weekend visit coming down on 25th sept til 29th September can’t wait we leave about 6:45 am and arrive about 11 am stopping at southwaite services for a cuppa on way down you really do bring Blackpool to the viewers 👍 Malcolm&Elaine from Beith North Ayrshire Scotland

Really interesting. Don't much care for the glass building to be honest - for me, it's the Woolwoths building that's the icon for Blackpool - and of course the Tower. I think in the next decade Blackpool will overcome its present problems and become an up-and-coming residential area. I mean , the area around Stanley Park can hold its own to any other town.
