The problem is all these bosses reward aggression and punish slow careful trades... and Lazul is all about slow careful trades.

I mean She doesnt have a cabal shadow priest in her starting deck iirc Or anything else that interacts with low attack minions

@@mbgrom15 oh yeah And it works extra well with stargazing But still it's 1 card out of the whole thing and without stargazing using hero power + forbidden words only saves you 1 mana

Funny how in wild priest is like a plague. I went a bit into standard a month or 2 ago and all I saw were lackey rogues and bomb warriors (at rank 20..). Do any priests exist in standard?

@@0089321 its pretty often ypu run into some..run high health minions...increase health..turn it into attack..smash face decks. Theres a new take every couple months

@@Begeru Not picking stargazing in general, which makes it go from 'meh' to 'incredibly powerful'. Having a garenteed -4 atk to enemy minions each turn at no cost is pretty damn good, and would have rendered a lot of those games easier.

Yep, that's what i got and i completed the run pretty easily. And that was the only run i did with priest (cause it sucks)

Same here actually. Dice and a mix of cthun and "mind over mine" or whatever the bundle is called. :) Was easier than the rogue for me.

@@andreaskarlsson5251 funny enough, for me it took me 24 mins ish for priest and for rogue it took me 43 minutes ish. like dice like the dalaran heist was, it just OP when it works for you and that happens more than we think :)

Curses and coat that makes cards x2 cheapes are the best rewards for speedrun for any class. Also you can skip curse's animation by clicking it

I.e Use the only consistently viable package, farm with the Amulet (in a speedrun event and with the least good deck) and use the 2 best passives in the event lol

Not only that but he's prioritizing not using it to play cards in situations where actually using it allows him to lock down the board. He developed the 4/2 against baron geddon instead of reducing the flame imp attack, trading the acolyte, and then forbidden wording the imp gang boys to prevent any imps. Like yeah, Lazul sucks, but she's gonna suck worse if you don't play her to create situations priests benefit from

Uh, no. You got lucky lol, congrats. Doesn't mean she's good. She is by far, the worst of the heroes you could choose.

Yes, in any large sample size you will find extremes. Try getting 10 complete runs with each of the four heroes, see if then you start to see trends in your experience. I think the biggest problem is the starting deck has a large amount of reactive cards and relatively bad inherent treasures. It’s easy to not be offered anything cheaper than 4 in your first buckets. If your opening hand is Forbidden words, Amulet of Domination and Unsleeping Soul you can find it literally unable to play on turns one and two against Geddon. Congratulations, you get to start playing cards at 10 hp, fail to curve out two more times and you can lose to a boss that never played a card. Warrior can just hero power and roll the dice and win with practically any bucket selections. Rogue has a really low curve and three great treasures to help cheese things, I’ve won multiple games without needing to hero power at all. Shaman’s hero power is awesome if you can stabilize and get ahead or cheat things out at all, and while duplitransmog is a bit tricky if you don’t know about some of the different boss mechanics, once you do you can easily find ways to, again, make any bucket selection playable. Priest’s starting deck and hero power are inherently crippling in comparison. You have to get lucky on treasures (notice the comments that say they were able to do it because of Robes of Gaudiness) or get a nice synergistic set of buckets and still need to get luck draws to progress with Priest. I had a Priest run against Garr where the first card that I could possibly play to interact with the board was on turn 3, when the board was an array of seven 0/2s looking to dish out 79 dmg. I’ve had another other run where I got cheap buff spells and the duplicating patron treasure. Was able to stabilize behind growing, ever duplicating minions. Until Nefarion pulls mass dispell and 2x dragonfire potions on me. TL,DR: Priest you have to get lucky to win, other classes you have to get unlucky to lose.
