Hey Ben, Nice video. I currently own the original Snowpeak Firepit and bag.. Which is a very high quality canvas bag.. I have a friend that just purchased a cheap take off of the Snowpeak Firepit without a bag.. When I first seen that Blacksmiths had made a bag, I was almost going to forward him the video so he could grab one, but held back after watching. My feedback is that the bag is too big.. Whilst I understand their intentions of making the bag a bit roomier for ease of pack up, I think that they’ve made a mistake on this one.. I do like the exterior pockets, particularly the canvas one at the back, but I think the extra panels or sleeves internally aren’t necessary. I don’t like the zipper on top either, as this would fail over time, then the bag is useless. Good quality Velcro straps would work best. Maybe you could share this with Blacksmiths for them to consider these alternatives. I actually purchased the Blacksmith clear top Drawer bag (large) which I’m very happy with, so I know they make a great product. Thanks Stephen
Thanks for your feedback, Stephen, I've shared this with the Blacksmith team. Regarding the size, it's only marginally larger than the 450 Firepit they based it on, I think many manufacturers run too tightly on their storage bag dimensions, Blacksmith wanted to do the opposite here. The internal sleeves are there for one purpose and that's to reduce the rattle, and they do make a difference. Blacksmith use high quality components in their products, and the zippers are no exception with these being N0.10 coil YKK zippers, one of which I am yet to see fail. Good quality hook and loop closures would be a good alternative but can get clogged up with fluff, grass etc can also lose effectiveness over time. That's just my two cents worth, and some rationale into why certain decisions were made, but your feedback is valued and will be noted for future designs I'm sure. ~ Ben
We've not tried it sorry, paranoidace1, but the dimensions are a little larger than the bag given it packs longer in one direction. I think it will be too tight sorry. ~ Ben
I need to correct myself here, just checked with the Blacksmith peeps and they have confirmed that the small, medium and large firepits from Snowpeak fit this bag. ~ Ben

We don't feel like we could provide overseas customers the same level of service we provide our Aussie customers when it comes to warranties, product support and shipping, so we choose not to ship internationally. I hope you were able to find something similar in the US. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors I can relate to that. Maybe so you don't miss out on sales it would benefit your company to sell to the usa. You could put a disclaimer on your website for exchanges only and customer pays shipping. I have ordered from several Australian retailers and never had a problem. I just like a lot of your gear that is not available in the usa.
