My youngest bloke is about his age and is a cross between Dean Locken and a grizzly bear, his only interests are eating and gaming, you need a whip a chair and flack jacket just to say good morning. You must be so proud of him Luke, what a young star!
We bought one of these a couple of months ago. Took it on a trip through western NSW. Absolutely loved it. Best piece of camping gear I've bought in a long long time.
I just placed an order after watching this! Had no idea you guys did these ones, thought you only sold the snow peak ones which were a bit out of my budget. Cant wait till it arrives!
The back of that chair needs to be higher. As a regular who lays back in my Coleman high back chair it stood out like dogs balls that you had to support your neck in the recline attempt. Nice chair but def not one to enjoy a relaxing recline in. As for the charcoal lighter I was wondering if there was one that closed flat because then I can bang it into the fire pit bag that I have. Nice to see you guys did that one. I was just going to invent my own so now one less job to have to do. Nice!
Looks like you’re getting more comfortable in front of the camera. Well done. The old man must have been in the camera :). Nice job on the feet, it’s the only thing I don’t like about my Snow Peak.
What a great presentation, out done you Luke, but you did teach him 😀 also love your products but a bit 2 expensive for Pensioners, yes 73 and still camping!!
A few negative comments about this cheaper range Drifta are offering ( and they are up front about it)...ehh as consumers we can make our choices , we are lucky like that . Drifta obviously see a market for it alongside its more familiar top end products. These guys have been around for a long time and in my opinion have a solid rep in Australia. I personally prefer the quality of the Sno Peak gear that we were fortunate enough to afford at the time. But if I was on a budget ( like most of us these days 🙄 ) I would prefer to buy the cheaper gear from a trusted supplier rather than some Ebay site or instagram add. Just my 2c worth.... And the guys that do all these vids are the guys that started/own the business , you gotta love that! ps but agree a different country of origin might have been better considering current behaviour !
Luke Sutton I hope that the large fire pit I bought yesterday will be on the way next week. I had a look now and it’s out of stock as yesterday it was in stock. I have the photo saying it was in stock. This will be the 5th time that I’ve bought on line saying it’s in stock and 3 weeks later was told out of stock. I work 7 days and just can’t go to the store and buy it now as I rely for online for most of my shopping.
dark horse hard to know which is your order . we have stock atm, just dispatch ran out for a few days , more coming up monday.. i'm not sure if you purchased on stockton site or drifta site or which name it's in so i can't really check much more. L
I was going to ask if the grill can be purchased separately and if it fits the Snow Peak fire pit, but it seems the grill is fixed to the bridge. Is that correct ?
grill net and bridge are separate.. grill net alone won't fit on the SP bridge.. but the stockton bridge will fit, so need to get both.. we don't sell separately atm, we might get parts in next time.. but shops may be able to split a pack for you, so best to call the shops and ask them.. the stainless grill net is very nice. L
there's no black soot really, I've never 'cleaned' it, just shake the ash out and put it away : ) you could wear gloves if you didn't want to get your hands dirty, but packing up camp is always gonna get your hands a bit dirty : ) L
I've been using the Drifter chairs for about 12months now and love them, however I only just learnt about the locking lever at the back haha. The real annoying thing about these chairs is they don't have a simple pouch to hold your beer! FFS! How did Drifter miss this vital accessory?
There is snowpeak, Darche, Drifta & Adventure Kings now. That's 4 with this design just off the top of my head. Probably plenty of cheap Chinese copies floating around too!
which company did I complain about ??? we about the last company in Aus to retail this product. we are retailing it like many others.. plus, everyone wingeing about paying $750 for a fire pit, was getting pretty hard to justify that.. end of the day, this one is better, and half price.. we giving people what they asked for.. L
@@DriftaCamping4WD Maybe I heard it from a drifta supporter on another channel? Not sure. I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Agree with the comment regarding different price points.
@@jonburchell2760 yeah, other peoples voice is not my voice mate.. I never said anything and never asked anyone to say anything.. but anyway, yeah we've been forced to go a different direction and its been a great move.. still have over 100 Aussie staff manufacturing Aussie made gear, and we import stuff too.. : ) L
@@aguyandhistroopy quality of the steel I’d say and the extra features which tbh are a pretty good idea. I’ve got a snow peak but I’d be pretty tempted for this at the price not to mention it’s an Aussie company (manufacturing location notwithstanding)
@@aguyandhistroopy the grill on mine is almost burnt out and rusts, have to scrub the hell out of it every use. I much prefer the high adjustment also. Us, its shiny. :-) lol
J Rogers the quality of steel is the exactly the same as the Snow Peak, Darche etc. stainless 201 for the frame and 304 for the grill. Changed the base to suit the feet. Can’t see anything different other then a stamp saying Drifta - Stockton. Good marketing by the Drifta crew I’d say.
