Blacksmithing - Forging a fire basket or brazier 

There is something absolutely mesmerizing and spellbinding when observing a master forger and craftsman displaying his unequaled skills for the gratification of people like myself to not only appreciate but, also to learn from. I am forever spellbound whenever you post an upload Sir, and this creation like every other before it is absolutely outstanding as well as inspiring and a product of you patience, determination, skills and mastery. The Beacon is lit, Gondor calls for aid! Absolutely stellar work on this brazier! Makes me want a to forge a set of them myself to flank the entrance to a house.

I am transfixed each time I watch a video from you, Torbjorn. But this one took me to a whole new level. There are soooo many blacksmiths out there making blades, but too few showing great craftsmanship making and building other things. I've been a follower for several years now and you never disappoint. I'm very thankful you sacrifice your time for us. Thank you! This project is in my future. John is right, it came out perfect.

As I was watching this, I thought, “That’s pretty cool, very clever. Now if it weren’t for all those ugly bolts.” Then you started making the rivets and I went “Ah!” Well done! Happy New Year to you and your family.

It's beautiful! The look on your face though when you dumped the pile of rivets on the forge to start making them sure said "Why did I decide to do this again?" Lots of repetitive work, but the end result is amazing!

How can we not applaud such meticulous and creative work?

This is so good on so many levels. The craftsmanship is methodical and thorough. Eg. the chamfers on the outside of the rivets vs. the flat finish on the inside give it that rounded softened feel. The Christmas theme and final fire make it feel comforting and warm. It's so good, I'll probably come back to watch it again and again. It's like blacksmithing ASMR.

It's lovely to see a father working with his children on a project. Every age of my children was wonderful, but this age (when they think you can perform miracles) is particularly special and it doesn't last for very long. Cherish every moment.

I watched this when it came out a year ago, and I continue to watch this video repeatedly about once a month. It's my favorite thus far, I love the look of it, I love to watch you work with the care you take and the patience you have to do the job right and do it right the first time to make a quality piece that will clearly last for years if its taken care of. Bravo!

Are there any words left to describe such mastership? I am blown away. Speechless. And this happens every time I see these videos. Constant reminder of the meaning of perfection. Love you, Torbjoern! Thank you.

Dude, that seemed like a ton of work. When you put the first rod back into the fire I realised the scope of what you were doing there - all these separate steps, so many of 'em, and you had to reheat it almost every time! With every time you put a stack of stuff onto the "finished" pile, you seemed more angry in the way you put them down ^^ I hope your family likes to huddle around it as well :)

It's such a pure pleasure watching the mental image being realized in solid metal when it comes out just as good as you pictured it. I also loved the patient efforts of your children which mirror your example.

That's how you make ribbit, really enjoyed your your construction, your Technique, and beautiful final product.

Any other man would have been fine with the nuts and bolts but you made homemade rivets for all of them, you absolute mad lad! Subbed for forever.

Wow, that is beautiful! A lot of work, but it paid fully out. The rivets are looking really nice. Everything is symmetrical, round and fits together really well. A masterpiece!

Wow, it might be just 6 different parts, but get it so many exactly the same and getting the whole thing to fit together in the end, now that was some amazing work!!!!
