I have been trying to figure out for several years how they were making these octopus tentacles. I finally stumbled upon a video that showed how to make them it was truly pumped. I will try to find her video and put it below.

I was wondering how to put those on an octopus. How different would it be if you put the curves in after welding?

If I can suggest one thing. When you do that washer take a piece of 3/4 or 1" round stock. Make a rings slightly smaller in diameter than the washer and then you heat your washer place it on the ring and round it using a ballpein hammer. (Or place the ball of the hammer on the ring and gently dome it with another hammer)

Thanks, I was wondering how to do that. Did you use bowling alley wax at the end?

I appreciate the comment, thank you. yes that is bowling alley wax. I saw a guy on RU-vid called David Hammer. He said he had been using bowling alley wax for years and the finish never rusty . That was about six years ago and I’ve been using it since. I also use boiled linseed oil every now and then.

Thanks, I will be buying some bowling wax to put on my bottle openers I make.
