@@Stargazzer811 The sounds were ripped from the games listed in the description. There's a bunch of them in the soundscape, and I don't really have time to go through and timestamp all of them, but I can tell you that the background ambience is the Ruin of Vaul SFX from Gladius, and the rest of the sounds mostly consist of rewind SFX from Life is Strange, Masari SFX from Universe at War, and Guardian/Shadow SFX from Amnesia. If there's a specific sound (or sounds) that you'd like to know the exact source of, give me the timestamp and I'll get you the filename.
That picture is something else. A rogue trader, an eldar ranger, a kroot mercenary, and a man of iron (UR-025, currently inhabiting a Mechanicus battle-automata.). Looking into it, I found that this takes place on the seventh Blackstone Fortress, and also in this party (or at least based on the same void station when not venturing into the fortress) is an Ecclisiarchy priest, a navigator agent, a chaos lord, and an ork freebooter. It's like the opening to a bad joke. Also, excellent ambiance.
No idea where the picture comes from. I pieced together when and where it took place by guessing that the automata might be UR-025, since I recognized that it was the same model of bot that it's currently inhabiting, and then reading up on it on WH40k wiki and Lexicanum. The only time a rogue trader, an eldar, a kroot, and a battle-automata were together in one place was during the exploration of the seventh Blackstone Fortress. warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Blackstone_Fortress "Among those individuals currently on Precipice seeking their own destinies within the fortress are such notables as the Rogue Trader Janus Draik, the Navigator Agent Espern Locarno, the Ecclesiarchy Priest Taddeus the Purifier, the Aeldari Ranger Amallyn Shadowguide, the Kroot mercenary Dahyak Grekh, the ancient Man of Iron UR-025, the Chaos Lord Obsidius Mallex and the Ork Freebooter Skarburn Zapdakka." The only thing missing is Trazyn the Infinite.
This cast would be really good for a game like Vermintide with the diverse, but unusual cast of characters. Maybe slower-paced with more shooting. Let you really feel the isolation inside of a Blackstone Fortress, with the traps, puzzles, and horror elements.
I would pay big bucks for a L4D-like 40K game within a Blackstone Fortress. Kind of like SpaceHulk, but actually good. Could perhaps have separate groups of characters too, one of each faction, so that you don't have to break the lore to put humans and eldar in the same group, for instance. I would hate for such a game to be humans only, as is too often the case.
i have come from the future to tell you that we're getting a 40k L4D game. Darktide. except, instead of all that interesting stuff, its just zombies in an underhive. looking like all human player characters, too.
Great one! I would love one for Combat Arena as well! I know it is a limited release, but is one gem of a game! Criminally underrated, IMHO. Maybe some industrial / spaceship ambient with loud skirmish sounds? Keep on rocking! Awesome channel.
Matey, your soundscapes of battles and ones like this are just so, so good. For both background ambience when reading novels, and when doing some tabletop with mates. Would you ever upload these to Spotify? Would love to have this playing on my tablet and be able to swap to another app without it stopping playing. Keep up the amazing tracks! \m/
Why this man of iron is still alive ? And in a tech-suit of Adeptus Mechanicus ? That's heresy isn't it ? I know Rogue traders are especially not bind to laws like others citizens in 40k, still, it seems hard to stay with a robot like that. :D
