Actually these guys were responsible for bringing auto-tune back. It's in half of this album. You can clearly hear it in the chorus and when they say no diggity. The difference is they had actual singing ability and used it for flavor and not to hide the fact they cant sing or flow.
Yes autotune is right I do know. It just wasn't called that then. It was an effect patch which copied the sound of an actual physical talk box used by Roger Troutman aka Roger and Zapp. Zapp being Roger's voice through the talk box. It still did the same thing. It took the incoming sound and allowed the user to change the key it is in.
See, unlike today's hip hop, these guys have a clean sound, crisp vocals, clever lyrics, great flow and piano and song about girls with class and style and having some respect for em
Yea like they just fuse R&B with rap verses brilliantly. Perfect example of good Hip-Hop, tasteful lyrics/song, and all-around great music. This has been my jam for years. When this shit come on at the bar EVERYBODY stops and gotta be like "YO THIS MY JJAAAMMM".
This isnt hip hop its R&B u whites think everything blacks make is hiphop. Dont come here comparing songs either, just enjoy the music and stfu pls and thank you
I'm a 70 year old white guy. I play this with my windows open when driving in my truck. I bop to the music. I get amused stares and smiles from people especially when at a stop light.
Studies on what songs Psychopaths like, brought me here to this video. Never heard this song before. Why would psychopaths like songs such as "No Diggity" and "Lose Yourself"? Personally, I don't fancy this style of music nor video.
I just heard it for the first time today and that shit hit hard, I've heard this song before but was cover by someone else and in a different style of song it wasn't hip hop
"No Diggity" is such a timeless jam! This track brings back so many great memories of the '90s. Blackstreet really knew how to blend smooth R&B with that catchy beat. It's impossible not to nod your head and groove to this song. Every time I hear it, I’m transported back to those days of MCM music videos. Classic vibes!
Timeless. Coronavirus got me listening to some good music! Be safe everyone! 2k!! Thanks all! Pretty dope we all can vibe out to the same music! Patience and safety to all!
This takes me back to '96 when this song was still on the radio. I remember listening to this song a lot in the car with my mom. She just passed away. I wish we could go back.
Airidas Petraitis maybe you can help me. Im stuck with a song that I cant find. it came out in 2000 or so. Its hip hop. the video was in a basketball field. At the beginning of the video, there are people playing trumps. Please help... :/
I just come back to it time to time. Not sure what it is... ofcourse it is an amazing song. When you compare this song to the current crap, it is just miles ahead. Maybe why I keep coming back to it.
The gang fight scene was just fucking SS Tier, if these scene alone wins against spiderverse,.you know im not gonna be mad, that scene solos all pixar and dc movies of this year...
My baby mum come in to drop my boy off I'm dancing in my boxers with the hover. Her words are grow up I reply with a big smile no diggity I should bagged it up 😎🤣
Hip Hop was so much better when real instruments were used more frequently. The simple rhythm, the soft bass and discreet piano beat alongside the use of an acoustic guitar is bloody perfect!
yeah, real instruments sampled.. electro in hip hop can be good too,, if mixed with others instruments.. but.. it's funny i don't hear any bass in this song.. woow
Winamp was great! I also downloaded this from NAPSTER. I’m from the cassette and LP generation, so that was an exciting time. It was so fun to test it! Now I use RU-vid Music and it’s even better. 💃
🙏🙏Blessings forever GOD loves y'all too forever tell everyone you know and don't know. Jesus loves y'all too forever. Teach everyone how to see and enjoy their blessings too foreverz
When I turned 16 my dad bought me an Audi and the only cd single I had was this song so I played it over and over throughout that whole weekend driving around with my friends hanging out of the sunroof singing along with the lyrics at the top of our lungs. Now every time I hear this song it reminds me of how awesome that weekend was. #GOODTIMES #Audi5000
+Ogre Doug My dad is a very dedicated pastor and the most honest person I know. He is not a serial rapist like the actor Bill Cosby who played Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable on the Cosby Show... just so there's no confusion www.sociallyurban.com/my-dad

Props for posting this. This is one of the samples that made me go buy one of his greatest hits albums, and eventually becoming a big fan. Rest in peace legend, Bill Withers.
hahaha....oh dear...This is a pretty cool song, but that comment couldn't possibly be more egotistical and self-indulgent....Yes, clearly one's class and style is determined by something arbitrary like their taste in music....Also, not to mention you just conveniently made such an association with this song, simply because it is a song you like, so you can have an excuse to feel smug. "HURR DURR I have so much class, because I listen to Blackstreet...OH I'M SO CLASSY...People with differing taste in music can't compare to my class!!!111!1!!11!!"
@@Blacktolite Right on. It started in Africa. Then, once in America, Black music and culture grew wings and flew around the world. An astonishing accomplishment bourne of generations of persevering prolific paradigm altering talent, dedication, and creativity.
No, it's not! I have news for you. Not all black women are bald headed. My daughter can't stand dealing with all her thick ass hair. But even if some of them are wearing weaves, I hate a jealous bitch that calls out other sistahs Ms. hating ass Mallory.
