Thank you so much for sharing all this information with us on here.Found it very interesting and helpful. As I have suffered Bladder problems/Cancer for a number of years.Had chemotherapy twice and would be very reluctant to ever have it again as it badly burnt my bladder.Still having problems. No wanting to be negative on chemotherapy, but it would not do for me again.
Im going for my 1st TURPT July 25th. Im grateful for this information because I like to have my eyes wide open. I live mostly alone with my dog. My bf is an OTR Truck driver and is gone for weeks at a time.
My dad just died of an extremely rare form of bladder cancer. Signet Ring Cell Adenocarcinoma. The surgeon started off by taking only a portion of the bladder. 3 weeks later upon check up the cancer appeared again. I’m curious why they didn’t remove the bladder and prostate from the very beginning and why chemo and radiation wasn’t given immediately during prognosis.
I called my urologist and he informed my that he found 2 abnormal cells in my bladder. What exactly does that mean? He says he is not worried and I just have to do another unrine test to check again in 6 months time. I have no idea what this means.
Google the Joe Tippens story, this helped me after 2 series of bcg treatments which were not working.Went in for the camera check of the bladder and found no tumors and at that time they took a urine sample for the fish test and 10 days later the nurse from Winneshiek Medical in Decorah Ia. called and said the fish test found no cancer cells.I had started this treatment in the Joe Tippens story about 5 weeks before the camera check.
Does a history of UTI and a chronic UTI increase the likelihood of getting bladder cancer? I have a resistant Klebsiella bacteria causing a chronic UTI, and was just wondering. I am seeing the local urologists, but I don't want to seem overly concerned, if I needn't be.
