As a fellow catheter user I feel for you. Bags, wipes etc are critical if we are to avoid UTIs. I was so lucky that when the nurse fitted mine she gave me a box of 80 bags which last a week each (she had them in the boot of her car as her previous patient did not like the Coloplast bags) so always have spares.
Kim, the same specialist nurse was due to see me a week after fitting but had car trouble. She telephoned me and told me her home address and told me to come over. She checked everything was as it should be (in her kitchen😁) then went to her garage and brought back a carrier bag of barrier creams, leg and thigh straps, large volume bags etc. Fantastic nurse going way above the call of duty. I contacted the hospital to highlight what a brilliant nurse they had.
Kim, just a thought but I have a number of rubber leg bags supplied by the hospital that last around 6 months if you rinse each day with an antiseptic solution. Are rubber belly bags obtainable ?.
