@@10fantic I respect the skill and dedication being a pilot myself but believe it or not some of us have actually like the idea of flying a helicopter...you know like a helicopter. Scale even better. Now acrobatics with a plane is something I'm into. At least for now because yes helis are a hell of alot harder.
I agree with Steve Johnson. I can. Fly CP helis and love them but sometimes you just want a relaxed scale flight without all of the adrenaline. FP is good for that. And anyone who would "laugh" at what someone else flies doesn't understand the mission of this hobby. Everyone has different skill sets as well as interests. "Laugh" at someone's bird at any of the fields I fly at and you will get a "talking to" at best.
I have been flying RC planes since 2006. Occasionally flying RC helis, but Fixed Pitch only! I have no interest in 3D helis! It's nice to see a new FP Heli!
I remember my old 120 SR which I bought in 2011. It was a fun bird to learn on. Had to sell it due to hard times together with a ton of replacement parts. Maybe I should get this one.
Please bring back the blade MSR. I know the blade 70s replaces it in the current line up, but it’s not the same feeling. I would love to see a new blade MSR with Safe. The old one a decade ago was iconic and flew very well. Mine still works to today! You’ve had other ones like the MSR S but something new in 2020 would be nice!
I've had the 120sr for some time now. I got it gently used from someone else and I love it. I'd imagine a flybarless version would be easier to hover in windy conditions. My 120sr hates wind so I mostly fly it indoors.
I LOVE my Blade 120 S so much that I now have 2 of them and 'just purchased another (pre-owned) bird this evening on fleabay. As a beginner heli (and unless you're exceptionally gifted in rotary wing (AKA helicopter) flight.. which I am not) you will; 1. Need a few spare tail rotor blades (P/N BLH3117), and I highly recommend doing the "Tail Motor Protective Sleeve modification". 2. You're going to want a couple of spare Main Blade Grips (P/N BLH3114) as sooner or later; you WILL break one of the the little plastic balls off, making the heli unflyable. OEM Batteries are pricey and there's a TON of alternatives available. Stick with the OEM batteries for now, and have at least 3 or 4 of them fully charged before you fly (You don't want to be concerned with adjusting CG for different brands of batteries right now. Though there are a couple of aftermarket suppliers that cater to the Blade 120 S such as Rakon (AKA RKH) and Microheli (AKA MH). I strongly advise replacing the OEM swashplate with an aftermarket unit. It's good to see HH/Blade bringing the 120 S back, the "telemetry"in the V2 is a bit "gimmicky" and hopefully they've addressed the @$#!*& swashplate issue.
What improvements have been made over the 120S ? Perhaps a stronger Swashplate. The color is a huge improvement. I swapped out my Green 120S canopy and tail fin for the Yellow/Black 120S2 versions. Much more visible now.
I've got the old SR and really wish I could find a reliable source for the differences from the SR to the S to the S2. Things like weight, motor specifications, head speeds, etc.
I just purchased the 120S2 BNF and I was wondering being that it’s a BNF would it need calibration or not, because I had to do both the flight trimming and calibration on my BNF Blade 230s?
They do. In fact 2 of them. The Blade 70 S, out of stock everywhere at the moment. Super durable, can't tell you how many times I've crashed mine very hard, and the Heli just keeps flying. The other is a collective pitch Heli called the Nano S2. The S2 has a RTF, and a BNF version. I just started flying in early April, and the 70 S was my first beginner Heli. Best purchase I've ever made. Can't say enough about how incredibly tough this micro heli is, and how easy it is to learn on. Plus, it's only $60.00 and comes with everything. The TX is not toy like either. It's a lighter version of a regular square box type TX, so it also gets you used to flying better heli's in the future, when you are ready, and go back to your regular more advanced TX. Buy either one, you won't regret it!
But, the Blade Nano S2 can! It's a micro, slightly smaller than the 120, and is collective pitch. $99.99 for the BNF version, and once you burn out the coreless motor, it can easily be converted to Blades smallest brushless motor.
So at 150 Dollars, I take that is not the controller that comes with it... for 150 dollars you get a Basic Controller... Are there MORE mAh Batteries for it other than the 500mAh it comes with for longer flight times?
For some Reason I type in the Search, Click Search but Search dose Not work.... I Change Category and Still Nothing happens?????? I type 1s Lipo Battery, Click Search and Nothing Happens. Search has Never worked for me on your site. Using Filters does not work either. I click on what I the type of stuff I am searching for, it adds it to the top of the list but the Page never changes. Is Your Site Broke?
Newbie here. I purchased this heli, & it was okay. Until I crashed & now I can't figure out to repair the tail rotor. Could someone tell me how to put the tail rotor back on so won't just fly off?
You basically shove it in there with the wires bent out so you can plug it in, I replaced my frame with the carbon aluminum frame and the tail boom is now tightened with a screw rather than just pushed in , close out sale for rakon heli get what you can, frame was $16 and I see it for $40+ on microheli
To some degree, yes! Electronic stabilization works even better than the "mechanical" stabilization on coaxial helis (but it does cost a bit more, so some smaller/lower cost coaxial helis will almost always be available).
@@HorizonHobbyProducts any hope of a coax that has 3 axis gyro stabilization (no flybar) so it can handle wind. Would be cool, and you could put a Kamov body on it. Give it a little winch and hook. Neat backyard scaler.
I like this one better than my 120S which breaks if it tips over. This one has been alright so far. It is what it is which is a trainer heli. Also yeas, those canopies are ugly.
Oh yeah , it will train you to stay inside whenever a Three (3) mph lil breeze is blowing. $160 ? Lol lol XK offers 6ch ,10mph wind worthy micro heli's for 40 buck less, Ready to Fly w/o the Blade unprogrammable rinky dinky toy like transmitter . 😊
Tens of thousands of people have learned to fly helis with the Blade 120...far more than with all XK helis combined! You may not like it, but there are LOTS of other people who do :)
@@HorizonHobbyProducts I got Blades, several. Its that 120 offering that left me to seek a better alternative for outdoor Flying. Money is tight all around & my personal preferences were answered & not deleted . Very cool , guys.
