Blade 300X Raw Uncut Flight With Hands Free Inverted Flying

This is a 4 minute flight of the Blade 300X helicopter showing what it can do in the hands of an intermediate helicopter pilot. In the video I will loop, roll, rainbow, and show inverted hovering HANDS FREE. This goes to show how stable this helicopter is.
There was an addendum when I first bought this heli that wanted you to hold the throttle curves to 75%, but it was because HH released the darn thing with wooden blades. If you upgrade to the carbon fiber blades then you can set the pitch curves to 100% with no problems.
Pros:
Great Heli
Beast X Technology
Affordable
Cons:
Carbon Fiber Blades not included
Extra Battery Price from HH is expensive
Final Thoughts:
A true winner and must have for heli enthusiasts.

I can't thank Candy enough. She does a fantastic job filming and doesn't mind giving me a hard time when she can. You are right about the helis that are coming out now. They are way better than what I started out with. As always thanks for watching and the years of support my friend. I really do appreciate it Ian.

Unclefester made some very good points. I would agree and say flight training on a sim is a great way to get started and then move to a fixed pitch heli, get used to the controls, and then think about a CP heli. The blade mcpx would be a better choice to start off with rather than the 130x for a CP heli because it can take some punishment.

The carbon fiber blades are worth buying in my opinion. You can go 100% on the throttle pitch curve in stunt mode with the CF blades. Just remember they are about 3 times the price of wood blades. Something to think about. Fly it with the wooden blades first to get used to it, then make the move to the CF blades.

nice to see more helicopter reviews! that didn't seem like a four minute flight, it seemed less. that means i enjoyed watching you fly that blade 300x!

I have been enjoying flying helicopters more this year now that I don't demolish them. lol.. I've got a few more on the way and hope to fly them before it gets too cold down here. Thanks for watching George and the comment.

Thanks for this video Eric! Great flying and great information! I am one of those people who think I know everything and never read the instructions(ok, sometimes I do, but not often)... I hadn't heard about the 75% pitch with wooden blades, and I have been flying my woodies with full 100% pitch. So far no problems, but I'm going to get some carbons soon so my blade 300 doesn't crumble blades in the air and drop to it's doom. Thumbs UP!

Training on a flight sim would be my first choice. Then a FP 4 ch heli would be next on the list. I'd start with a micro to save a little money and see how you like it first.
@joehandsome99
@joehandsome99 12 лет назад
It is a fun heli to fly for sure. The CF blades should come with it out of the box though. Then it would be a top notch heli right out of the box. Thanks for watching and the comment.

The beast x technology does a lot of the work, but I'll take a little credit for the flying. lol.. Thanks for watching.
@joehandsome99
@joehandsome99 12 лет назад
You don't need dual rates with the AR7200BX. Just set a little expo to your liking and then setup the beast X to your flying abilities. That's the great thing about the beast x technology.

The carbon fiber blades are the stock version made for the blade 300 x. The only thing I don't like is that they didn't come with the heli to begin with.

That one looks GREAT. Your camerawoman is great too. We don't always realize how hard it is to film something we don't know which direction it will go next. My lady had a hard time filming my flying aerobatic planes, and they can't change directions NEARLY as fast as the 3D helis. Try coaching her on what you're going to do before the video. I heard you did some of that during the video, but you've got to use layman's terms. I didn't know what the hell a rainbow was until just now either. ;)

I have 130x, 300x, 450x and waiting on the 500x to get here in a few weeks. The beast x technology rocks. I really like the flybarless helicopter setups now. I also use turnigy batteries. Hard to beat them for the price especially when I need a dozen or more at a time. Thanks for watching and the comment.

I have a 300X and also 130X and a 450X, of them 3 I like the 450X more than others because is very powerful and stable in comparison with the smaller siblings, but I agree that all three are really really good helis. Turnigy lipos are very cheap and they perform nicely on my 300X.

You don't use the sub trim on the remote you have to make the adjustments using the beastX setup menu then using the tail stick to move the stick in the motion you need trimmed. Kind of confusing but read up on it. Also there is transmitter setting in beastX so you can have you own settings if the 5 others aren't to your liking. And within each preprogrammed setting there's about 10+ sub menus you can adjust within each default mode ie extreme, sport, etc good vid man thanks! Did u trim?

corrections: you meant "throttle curve" instead of "pitch curve", and FBL controllers don't like *any* trimming at all

Hello Eric. you said you're flying on extreme setting? that's very sensitive to touch, but how should I set my DX7s on Dual Rates and Expo when using AR7200BX preset modes like sport, pro or any of them? DR 100 expo 0, or I can change them at free will?

Hi Eric :), i love to fly airplanes like the f27q stryker. But now i want to start flying Helicopters.Is it a good choice to start with the 300x or would you prefere the mcpx. A few years ago i have already flown with an coaxial helicopter and i trained with an phoenix simulator. Sry for my bad english, i am from germany. thank you Felix ;)

I have a Raptor 30 that I keep crashing. The controls just feel "mushy". I was thinking of getting a larger heli (more stable) or smaller ( more practice and repairs are cheaper). What would you do?

I would not recommend this type of heli with just sim time. Start with a Fixed pitch first and practice just hover and you will see that even with hours of sim time that flying a heli in real life is so much different. Look for the Novus 200 FP he did a review on and try that first. Look at Dave the nightflyyer and he has some real good beginner vids as do many others on starting to fly heli's.

The motto is only buy what you can afford to repair. So I would go as far to say whatever you pay for a heli...double the price for repairs. That's a typical budget because things do go wrong. I cannot recommend a heli for you because I don't know your experience level and comfort level and skill level. Anybody who tells you to buy certain equipment isn't doing you justice. There are so many manufactures that trying to "sell" you to a specific brand isn't fair to you. Research.
