I got the Blade Chroma for Christmas this year. Woo Hoo! For what the Chroma costs, there is no way I could build a scratch build a multirotor to do all this thing is capable of doing and all the features it has. Next is to test the stability of the airframe. It appears to be Very stable. I'll hard mount a small camera on top of the fuselage to see just how stable it truly is. Just from watching it hover and fly, I'm sure it is quite stable.

WOW! That is cinema quality! It's so smooth that it's looks like magnetic drive! Whatever the Chroma costs, I'd call it a bargain! Congratulations Ron! Now how do I talk myself out of purchasing one???

+the1realanalogman Don't argue with your self. I did the math and to build a bird that has all the capability and feaures would be more than twice the cost of this one. I'm now considering selling my CX-20. The only feature it has the Chroma doesn't is ability to do waypoints. I never do that anyway. My next video with the Chroma is to show just how stable the platform flies by strapping a hard mounted camera to it.

+RonALampman Yeah, no point in a build. Just not sure about investing any more in the hobby until some regulatory issues sorted out. If I'll be flying "on the lamb" I'll have to stick to my current expendable collection. Time will tell brother!

+the1realanalogman I only have the usual on my stuff, name and contact info just in the event one gets away, I can recover it and be responsible for any damage. The FAA's guidance is unconstitutional.

+RonALampman Same here, and that should be sufficient. And you are spot on. Another attempt for the gov to convince someone they're on the case. They don't even know, or care what the case is! I'm starting to wonder how many folks are even aware of the constitution and what it represents - or perhaps I should say used to represent. Go up strong brother!

Im not much on RTF stuff but the chroma looks very appealing for a all in one video rig. Liked the video and even though some may not see it.. What made it enjoyable was the smooth flying. Even with a stabilized GPS machine it takes a good pilot... Raw video without lots of editing and fillers is rare.

+RC Basher This is why I wanted to tape my HK wing camera to the top to show just how smooth this bird flies on it's own. I can tune my KK2 boards to fly smooth, but this is just as smooth. Never been able to get DJI or APM to fly so stable. Like I've said already, For all the features and capability, the Chroma would be impossible to beat at that price point. +Robt Conrad Ha ha! Don't think I'll ever stop scratch building, but for the price, this is a fantastic multirotor. I was looking at the 3 axis hand held gimbals, but with the CGO2+ I purchased the Steadygrip ($49 on ebay) and now have a hand held steady cam that used my phone for a monitor. Woo Hoo!

+RonALampman Check out "Drone Girl" - I think she has set the bar pretty high for taking aerial video, she's got all the gadgets.

The quad she is using is actually what the inerds of the Chroma are made of. Yuneek stuff.
