I think a type of character that could help blade a lot is a character like Furina from genshin, where the character would give damage buffs based on HP fluctuation. And since Blade's HP bar is constantly pogosticking all over the place this could work, especially if the buff is stackable, per instance of change in HP.
@lemetro2290 used them together a lot back when Blade was released. It's good that Blade triggers Luocha, and constantly keeps him above 50% for more damage, but Blade comps rarely need the SP, so that part of his kit is wasted. Still a decent choice though.

@@natsan18 Btw I forgor your channel cause I was on vacation and for ruanmei in pyrwden. Dot teams with her cleared in 7.6 cycles compared to 8 with robin. Also a 23% compared to robin in buffing doesn't correlate to a 23% dps increase more ish a 10-20% depending on other aspects. The thing is you kinda underrate ruan meis buffs. 25% res pen 15% speed 68% dmg boost 50% break eff break extention and finally 30% break effect. People ignore the break extension because of the fact that they don't realize there is a 1.2222% muliplicative buff for damage when broken which ruan mei extends. Also 45% crit damage is huge considering most chars at a 100-200 which means they lose between 15-30% in dps. Sry for being so late btw.
@teo2805 what would be even crazier is a unit that allows him to deal the enemies percent health as damage. The harmony would buff blade by giving him the ability to suck 10-20 percent of the combined hp of all enemies currently on field and dish it out as damage. A unit that lets him consume even more of his own hp and deal more dmg. A unit that can combine all units on the teams hp bar into 1 giant one. A unit that takes 15 percent of hp all mobs on fields and add it to blade. There is just so many ways of enhancing him. Hoyo just doesnt want to do it.
@@teo2805I genuinely don't think we'll get another abundance built around having synergy with him, I genuinely think Luocha was supposed to be that, and they do work together perfectly, except Luocha doesn't particularly buff Blade at all. Then we also have Lynx as another great option that DOES buff him. I do expect us to eventually get a support designed for Blade, but I don't think we'll get an Abundance designed specifically for him, at least not for a long time.

Being a JY main and a Blade main at the same time is like having 2 sides, one is dying of thirst, the other is drowning to death. JY can work with every Harmony (yes literally every one of them even Bronya), while Blade is only good with a selected few that have a strong enough general buff that can help his poor scaling.
Jingyuan ended up being the real xiao of hsr, was good on release, fell off a bit and eventually got much better overtime with new supports. Beyond harmony characters Fu xuan and huohuo ended up being good for Jing yuan too by preventing/cleansing cc debuffs on demand

Blade will definitely not stay being the only HP scaling unit, when a new HP dps releases is when we can expect new things for Blade. Maybe better supports or maybe an even better relic set
what blade really needs is a dedicated harmoy unit that buff his hp% and crit value. a lot of dps are now getting their best in slot for buffers while blade is getting forgotten little by little.
Dream team for Blade would have every teammate drain his HP in some way, buff his HP and other damage stats, and easily convert spare SP into more damage somehow (energy/ actions/sub-DPS). It's not unthinkable for them to do, they've created and expanded on a lot of other teams (DoT, debuff, follow-up, break, etc) but they just don't care about HP-scaling and fluctuations. Acheron and Firefly are likely getting new teammates when they're the last characters that need them, so there's obviously a bias. Even Boothill got explicitly shafted on Firefly's relic sets for absolutely no reason, so I don't expect Blade to benefit much from any potential future HP-scaler either.
Blade was the reason (other than me being a complete wh0re ) I started playing this game. Like how tf hoyoverse make such a beautiful,immaculate,juicy looking man and literally ignore him! the biggest buff IMO, isn't about adding new units, but adding a new gamemode that benefit Blade's strength the most. Since Blade is among the strongest in term of solo (used to be the strongest before Firefly), so if we have a gamemode that restrict the number of member of a team (for example, only 3, 2 or even 1 character(s)) while the limit of time is removed, then Blade will properly shine, since unlike most of the other damage dealer, he will surely get the job done without dying, but with the cost of taking some time
You have played Genshin, so you have to remember that people comparing Blade with Hu Tao. So what rlly make Blade different from Hu Tao, where one feel mediorce while the other is ageless? (Hu Tao still able to compete after over abundance of Pyro DPS that released after her) Hu Tao right now is the most consistence Vape DPS with her CA having no ICD, and all new Pyro DPS, either 5* or 4*, have a set ICD or a playstyle that less focused on reaction. But without that enabler - Hydro appliers and Zhongli (joke aside) - she wont be outperforming any new Pyro DPS. So Blade lack the enabler that Hu Tao happily have. Someone that can: 1. Increase Teammate Max HP; 2. Drain Teammate HP to an extend; 3. Increase Agro on Blade and 4. Give a overall buff to Basic Attack and Follow-up Attack (odd combination but it work for him). It also not helped that Starrail don't have reactions like Genshin so the only way to increase DPS is to straight up giving a multiplier change (buffs and debuffs) or gimmicks like share HP.
My take on a support that could work for Blade would be like: Skill apply a buff on a teammate that Drain HP for Extra Turn - Mean that it work as a Action Advance buff in SU (Everytime the buffed character move, their action advance by x%), but with the cost of HP. Ultimate apply a field that increase DMG Dealt based on Total HP lost or heal from all teammate (with the activation cost some HP so it not a wasted Ult if it was casted right after the fight start). Ult can add another layer of SPD boost or action advance for the Skill-buffed character, with the cost of another HP deduction. This effectively drain Blade's HP 3 times when he use a Enhance Basic Attack, giving him 3 stacks.
Sad thing is that we DO have characters that can provide them (except for increasing max HP and maybe boost team damage based on HP), like Lynx can increase aggro, Jingliu and Jade can drain his HP, and the FUA gang can help his FUA attacks, but the problem is that they're here and there and it makes building him difficult, he's kinda like a jack of all trades but master of none, you have to pick which aspect of him that you'd like to focus on and even then, he's still outshined by others more efficient in those fields, which is a shame since I did get into HSR because of how gorgeous he looks and his voice got me sold, praying one day we get maybe like an abundance unit that plays with HP scaling.
As a Blade main I wanna sy this, the moment we get a Blade support that buffs HP(In any way) is the moment that Blade WILL get powercrept. I don't think Hoyo will make a support that is only usable for one character which means either before or right after we're probably going to get an HP scaler that will just have better numbers than Blade. Jade is an okay start definitely and she does pair well with Blade but I could see how her HP drain was just thrown in to make it seem like Hoyo still cares for Blade. Hopefully our king will get the support he needs. Sorry if this brought up any points you have already made in the other video, but all in all great video and I'm so glad to see another Blade main out in the wild.
Fuxuan to Jingyuan, Ruan Mei to Jingliu, Sparkle to DHIL, Jade to Blade. Of course Hyv will keep making support that benefits him. They love their Xianzhou's characters more than anyone else
I do hope we get maybe something similar to Furina from genshin, stealing hp from the team to buff them or some sort of a goofy 4/5 star abundence that is solely focused on making ur team so beefy you cant die, like they have no healing, they just make your team tanky enough to survive. Either those options or we arrive to a planet/region that focuses on hp manipulation and maybe we get an abundemce trailblazer that is to hp scalers what harmony mc is to super break
E1 for Jade and Blade probably helps a bunch in MoC/lower target fights, but yeah, great team especially against wind weak Also, people don't talk about it a lot maybe because a lot don't have both units, but IMO, Blade's best support is FX. She buffs max HP and crit rate (and crit dmg at E1), and she has no shield so she doesn't stop him from taking damage. You kind of need to learn to play them together, but they have strong synergy. I only run my Blade with Fu now.
yeah we need: imbibitor lunae but harmony/nihility that grants better buffs/debuffs the more sp used. a furina abundance that grants buffs based on hp lost and gain.
There are one of two ways he can be buffed, one is though a future support, and another is through relics or Planar Ornament. Blade still does not have his signature Planar Ornament yet, so something that has to do with HP drain and aggro with Counter is going to help him a lot more. (I've even made the mf relics themselves because I'm so desperate 💀) Anyways everything you say is correct especially how he looks and he will dispatch the enemy in 7 cycles after getting a buff 💀
Not every character will get a signature planar set. Those who do have one(Firefly and Acheron) basically had entire relic sets and such tailored specifically for them. Chances are Blade won't be getting any special relic sets but I can see a Harmony character being able to buff characters based on how much dmg they take.

@@Loppedofflemons well the chances are never zero if we look at genshin, xiao which was released on update 1.3 only got his dedicated artifact at update 2.6. Rutilant arena planar set isnt good enough for him since he doesnt just rely on his basic but also his ultimate and follow up
A couple of issues with Blade include his split scaling and low multipliers. Blade scaling off of attack and health makes his teammate options very limited compared to every other DPS character. His low multipliers make his damage lack when compared to the lacks of Acheron, Firefly, and Boothill. Without fully discussing what I know in upcoming versions, I have no idea how Blade will clear content quickly without high investments in support characters.
Id actually be interested to see if you could make a Blade team similar to the Topaz/Ratio/Aventurine setup with Jing Liu/Blade/Jade. Just turn Blade into a follow up engine with all the HP loss. I think it could be an interesting thing to try. If nothing else I think it could go crazy in Pure Fiction.
I feel bad that Blade is stucked in a damn if you do damn if you don't situation. There's really no reason for Hoyo to make a sp for a hp scaling dps because Blade is the only one of that archetype and if they do there's a good chance that they'll release another hp scaling dps which will eclipse Blade completely
On the other hand it could mean more supports/relics/lcs that support hp scaling units. It's kinda like what aventurine did for yanqing, while it didn't magically make yanqing top tier it made him more usable. Likewise blade probably won't be top tier but he will see improvement
We really need a Furina-esque type of Harmony in Star Rail that buffs the damage based on max hp and hp lost during an attack, Harmony units right now do synergize with him but are not tailor made for him 😭
guys trust an abundance/preservation unit will soon come that splits incoming damage to EVERYONE, an sp-scaling harmony (dhil but harmony) that blade can abuse, and suddenly he's releasing fuas like crazy.
I can confidently say that blade is probably one of the worst LONG term investments I made, because I skipped kafka to get him. I have a guarantee on feixiao, so he's about to be replaced and I have no DOT team to show for it
I'm positive on this team, since Blade never did like big pp damage, his damage is enough to easily destroy small enemies, so actually Pure Fiction is a very good team for them.
use Fu Xuan, Blade, Jing Liu and Sparkle, then you will be absolutely blasting. Fu Xuan buffs HP and reduced dmg, and heals and buffs crit etc. and Jing Liu give Blade that ouchi every turn that he needs to follow up, Sparkle also helps to dish out more damage as well + she and Fu Xuan are 2 Quantum types and therefore she gets that extra dmg bonus for the team and for her and Fu Xuan = very great team synergy 👍
We just need a support that buffs HP and crit damage while taking the buffed characters hp Something like a combination of bronya, lynx and jade/jingliu
To make a difference we need a harmony character that provides different stackable buffs when you consume, drain or regain HP and that Harmony character also drain Hp from the team to improve the synergy of the buffs.

PSA: Blade in Tales of the Fantastic with effect that regens energy on HP loss can infinitely burst with Jade. It's especially notable here since the gamemode literally goes on forever
Here's my concept Path: Abundance Element: Physical Basic: (cost 1 if there's at least 1 skill point) Deals damage to an ally. If it consumes 1 skill point: Gains 1 skill point. (So it cancels out, like jingliu's god mode skill) Applies healing over time based on max HP (10% of own max HP for 3 turns, stackable). Skill: (costs 2 skill points) Increases an ally's max HP by 50% for 2 turns. Applies taunt value of 500% to them for 2 turns. Increases their energy regeneration from damage taken by 50% for 2 turns. Ultimate: 150 cost Increases party's max HP by 25% for 5 turns (stackable, up to 4 times) Charges party's energy gauge by 5% every turn for 5 turns (stackable, up to 4 times) Talent: Increases party's debuff resistance by 35%. Increases party's defense by 20% of own max HP (maximum of 1300). Action forwards self by 20% every time an ally takes damage. Gains 8 energy every time an ally takes damage. Hi, I just came here to say that there are leaks on reddit of two unnamed Destruction characters (one is Quantum when the other one is Imaginary) and according to the leaks, they're both HP scaling/consuming DPS units just like Blade! I'm probably inhaling copium rn but I think this might be a sign that we might eventually see him getting the buffs he deserves.
One of my ideas for blade synergy but also synergy with lots of characters is a aggro manilulator, basically he could change the aggro value on characters making someone way less or way more likely to get targetted
perhaps we need a unit that specifically buffs basic attacks? (though DHIL might steal that one). It definitely blows, that most supports (especially the wind ones: Bronya and Huohuo) buff atk, which is suboptimal. Sparkle doesn't, but you'd end up with too many SP.
Thought of this idea for a character like furina who has the stacks thing based on hp loss and gain, with each stack giving dmg increase, but the also increase max hp as well but limits the recoverable hp like that one equation in DU. And then another unit which has sp scaling harmony who buffs recovering or not using sp or uses a lot of sp like dhil for more buffs and andd then ruam mei can stay since she’s rlly good dmg buffer and blade will finally be able to deal a bladillion dmg.
After Jade and her kit were released I was convinced that I won't ever pull for her. But after a few weeks of hesitation I thought that Robin+Lynx+Jade+Blade equipped with Salsotto or even Duran would be a decent team even outside PF. The gimmick is to buff Blade FUA as much as possible. There's also an ATK multiplier in his FUA so Robin enormous ATK buff will come in handy. I'm gonna try to utilise that team and see what's up
Remember blade ult can easily take half of his hp and heal back? With a good build u can get him 10k hp and when in future there is maybe a destruction or abundance with grit or dewdrop, he's gonna be amazing
I love blade’s kit its lore accurate, feels cool and play exactly how i wanted it to be. the problem is just newer dps in this game is just fucking ridiculous and theres no such thing as balance in this game the dev isnt even TRY
a lot of comments are saying that he needs a harmony support like furina and i couldnt agree more, her hp mechanics work with him really well :((( as for the hp buffer/overhealer im hoping that lingsha will be exactly that, bc if thats the case, im skipping on pulling jq this patch for her. im half nervous and half excited abt her kit 🤞 i dont wanna lose hope for my boy :')))
The only true buff blade can have that will never happen is having his FuA stack overcap+Being allowed to get stacks during FuA. Classic 1.x FuA unit scuff

I’ve said this before (not here) and I’ll say it again! Blade E6 should be in Blade’s base kit and his E6 should be the same. Like 4 stacks to proc AoE in base and 3 stacks at E6 to proc AoE And his scaling needed to be heavily touched 🥹
The fact that even with sim uni buffs blade’s normals still dont even reach 70k is so sad 😭 the first unit i ever got the lc for (the second being ratio and the third being ruan mei) and he got powercreeped so hard within mere months 😭😭😭

blade is my favorite character, but sadly I don't really get much use out of him anymore. tbf I used him very little until I pulled DHIL, which was pretty soon after. he is a really fun and cool character, but he has been severely power crept
Im just waiting for HP scaling meta in the future hopefully, cuz hes kinda lonely at the moment with only him and arlan are the only dps that scale off HP (Arlan technically does not scale from hp tho). While theres a unit that increses max hp like Fu xuan and lynx i think we should get a proper support character that has HP related buff.
Still using him and wanted jade but was a few pulls short Got huohuo instead Now I just try different strats like him and yukong or bronya or new march to see what sticks in any given scenario

It is easy to make a dedicated support for blade. Great increase max HP single target, dmg bônus e many instances of hp loss. All they have to do is do it
switch bronya to fast (161+) sparkle and keep blade hp boots. this way ALL his attacks will receive harmony unit's boosts. my team of blade e0s1, ruan mei e0s0, fu xuan e0s1 and sparkle e0s0 works wonders. one follow up against 5 enemies can reach 315k!
I actually have a lot of hope, since hyv didnt forget about xiao, obviously the xiao premium team is ultra expensive but better that than getting nothing, and the investment is worth it, definitely is top 4 AoE dps, just behind neuvi, nilou and national
My team consist of (as a #1 blade Simp) Jingliu, Blade, Jade, Luocha Luocha is the skill development and the fastest and generates skill point. Everything else should be self explained, have fnu fam
Eagerly waiting for the day hyv releases a female character with a similar kit as Blade so he can get dedicated supports that aren't Bronya Sparkle or Ruan Mei
The thing with Blade that make him weak compare to others is he has minimal self damage buff and his multipliers are low. I honestly want them to buff him not only a dedicated support but also his multipliers.
His multipliers aren't even that low, 100% of hp at lvl 6, if we have 7k HP we would get 7k dmg. While Jingliu for example has 250% on her Enhanced skill if we have 3k atk that would be 7,5k dmg. I do agree he is lacking in terms of self buff, but they made him have a lot of self sustain capability, which is not so useful in terms of clearing enemies as fast as possible.
@@bloxfruitsteve Blade e1, Bronya E2 161 speed, Jade, Huo Huo. Tech: Blade at 163 speed due to Bronya E2 speed buff and Jade's flat speed buff. Bronya let's him go twice, generates more attacks and follow-ups which jade loves.

He might not be for the end game meta for pf or shadow realm, but he goes nice in MoC and lets be real, who is the best character in SU or DU? i tell you its blade, he scales from hp and atk, have FuA, ult, Basic dmg, TONS OF HP, you can hardly go wrong with him, when i say i cleared hardest swarm, gold and DU with him first i would not lie, even having acheron and ff (at E0S1) he was the one who cleared it first even after trying it 12-15 times (protocol 6, just be clear) with many teams, fua (ruan mei, topaz, ratio, aventurine) dot (kafka, blackswan, ruan mei, aventurine/fu xuan) ff team and acheron team too, yet, he cleared it with fu xuan SW and blackswan (yes, these two actually sometimes better than bronya or ruan mei)
Jade jus increases the frequency of her FUA, and not his dmg per hit. He is still better off using RM in MOC in my opinion. Also i have seen someone using him in the old event in the game that increases 150% of his hp, and he hits pretty good
i have it and yeah its a good eidolon, his ult damage is so much better but the problem is that its only worth it if youre REALLY dedicated to blade like me even if hes pretty much considered the worst *limited* dps in the game

They just need to adjust his scaling to fix him up because his scaling compared to other characters is just way worse. The only character with worse damage scaling than him is Yanqing, literally the worst 5 stars character. He is usable and I have his LC, but his damage not even reaching 200K on 3 enemies is just so annoying.
I tried blade super break, his hits does about 180-200k misha lc. I’m thinking about getting yunli’s lc for him since I don’t have his signature. What do you think of that? I doubt he will get a rerun 😢
I think because Jade work like Acheron, you can only get stacks once per character turn,maybe if Blade fua trigger by enemies will give Jade her stacks
When he perfoms FuA, His Stacks is Still full when he gains stack from Jade's HP Drain If I'm correct When he do FuA, He Heals and Drains HP (From Jade) at Same time, he gains Stack from HP Drain First (But his Stacks is Still 5) after the FuA it then resets

@@user-eo4it2rn1f I think He does gain Stack from Jade's HP Drain in FuA but His Stacks isn't reset yet (still at max Stacks) He gains Another Stack in EBA bc he consumes HP first before Attacking then after Attacking, Jade HP Drain Triggers Blade don't Heal first before FuA, Meaning Jade HP Drain and Blade HP Heal happens at the same , So it kinda cancels out the HP Drain But even if Jade's HP Drain happens after the Heal, The Stacks aren't reset It resets when he Retreats after the FuA (Which Happens after the Heal and HP Drain) In order for it to work, Blade should be able to Overcap Stacks (Like Aven/Jade Stacks)
