This is by far one of the most amazing games i have ever played if not "the best".. truly it was ahead of it's time with it's amazing graphics especially the shadows, the music, the atmosphere, the hidden secrets and weapons, the unpredictable mobs and AI and the "unparalleled" gameplay and combo system perhaps even to this day imo..
I've been playing this game since its release and I'm very good at it, but I've never seen such an amazingly spectacular speedrun! Congratulations! I didn't even know the game had such bugs that could be exploited.
Amazing, i remember playing this game probably 10 years ago, one of my all times favorites - the combat, the atmosphere, the music, truly ahead of it's time. Glad to see it gets the deserved recognition and people like yourself keep it alive. Knew the controls were kinda clunky but never knew they can be utilized for such purpose. The safe mechanic is really interesting - does it involve saving a "height spot" from a previous map and reloading this "height spot" in a different one to get to the desired shortcut? I would assume it's not consistent enough or it took many hours of trial and error to find the optimal route for the optimal height positions, if what i talk about makes any sense.
Thanks) Yes, that's right. For years, speedrunners have been searching for optimal coordinates and routes through the level editor and the game console. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to find something new.

Amazing. Thank you for sharing this! BoD is one of my top favourite games of all time until today. Just finished it again with Naglfar (which the game adresses as 'Nagfar' in the GOG achievement. Bugs and glitches - even in the achievement section 😁) Just tried to speedrun the Amazon's starting level for the first time. The airwalk is pretty easy to do and fun, but breakdancing breaks my game totally and how the hell does that save/load glitch work you're using in the mines of Kelbegen level? Is there a video explaining that part in particular or could you point me to a speedrunning community for BoD?
Hi! Thx for watching) The teleportation glitch works after the “correct” death from a rolling stone (it’s hard to explain in words). After this, game saves coordinates during the climbing animation. All the necessary level cut points have been calculated by some speedrunners using a game console and a level editor (I've never done this). The game’s community is too small, and the speedrun server on Discord is almost dead... discord.gg/GzF2e6WW
Ну, так-то я спидраню БОД уже почти год, с конца 2021-ого. И уже давно занимаю первую строчку на сайте спидран.ком Просто большинство ранов были на канале с доступом по ссылке. Об этом частенько рассказывал на стримах. Это просто для справки)
Как это работает??! Особенно с сейвингами непонятно) А вообще круто, хотя и багоюз чистой воды. Ну, да в этой игре спидран без багов в принципе невозможен)))
А расшифровка для несведущих что как будет? Я как то смотрел подобное на каком то канале про другую игру правда. Там же целая история как гличи находятся как стратегии прохождения разрабатываются. Почему это так, а это вот так.
Да, планировал сделать разбор спидрана чуть позже. Вообще, я поэтому свои "забеги" и не выкладывал долгое время, потому что люди приходят как новый ролик, начинают спрашивать, интересоваться)
