Blade Runner The Film Vault Collection 4k Ultra HD Bluray Unboxing. 

Let's be honest when you buy a collectors edition and it comes with posters and art cards, where do they end up back in the box on your shelf. The packaging is great but the contents aren't premium. Way over priced. I would expect maybe premium packaging, steelbook, disc art, a CD soundtrack, film cell or a model or all 65.00 for 1 movie is ridiculous. Great video my friend

If I'm not mistaken Blade Runner is already sold out on Amazon and eBay just a few at silly money left. Can I just say thank you for being so positive about these editions because I've watched a few unboxing and moaning videos on RU-vid. I don't understand the why are they putting out the same films over and over argument. The Scarface edition I bought is the first premium edition of Scarface I've ever bought! New collectors are joining the hobby all the time why should they miss out on the classics!? 👍🎅🍺

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Such a poetic and emotional scene. Blade Runner is a cinematic masterpiece even though it wasn't my cup of tea it was stunning to look at. I get what you mean Keith when you say it can be costly with these collections but are afraid of missing out, so you feel forced to by them. You are what they call a true dedicated collector and have one of the most impressive collections I have ever seen. And this is why your fan base keep coming to this channel. Congratulations on another great upload.

After being encouraged to splash out on all 4 releases after your first unboxing video, mine arrived today and they do look fantastic. The only minor issue I have is that the flaps keeping the crystal block in place easily bend back on themselves leaving the item sliding about. Nothing a pair of tweezers couldn’t sort out but hopefully something that is looked at for future releases. I agree that £50 is the maximum these should cost, any more than that and (like yourself) I am out. Great in depth unboxing Keith and I was wondering if you had any plans to do a 2022 walk round of your unreal looking collection?

without the director's cut this whole release is pointless. the final cut has a green layer over the picture which makes the whole movie looks greenish. just watch some comparison videos here on YT and you'll know what I mean ...

Hey Keith. Wanted to wait til you reviewed Blade runner before dropping you a comment. You make very valid points regarding price and future titles and in particular about all 4 coming out on the same day(thankfully my family got me a couple as Xmas presents) I love them,the craft in design an box presentation is top top quality. Matt fergusons art work is stunning(you may or may not know he's the artist on all the Carpenter 4k box sets) an I'm sorry to go into broken record mode with you on this matter again but my only disappointment is to not get thick card mini poster versions(like arrow an studio canal do)of his new art work..all 4 covers for me are instant frame jobs. Its only a slight moan because in all honesty these sets are jaw dropping an I feel the £50 price tag to be a reasonable one..I'm so enamoured with glass weights,totally unique. My own take on why these Titles are getting released again is that they simply sell and sell well and it keeps encouraging studios to do more of the same an it keeps physical media relevant an the hobby going an ive no doubt its also profitable for those behind it all. All 4 reviews are cracking,as always honest and with genuine enthusiasm. You've a great channel mate👍

Great video Keith and a great edition too 👍 agree with you re potential price hike just like Titans of Cult did. Would be nice to see some new 4K editions of Ben-Hur, Bullitt, Dirty Harry, French Connection etc released in the Film Vault series. Keep up the good work ok 👍

Excellent video my friend. Once again you spurred me to pick these sets up. Blade runner is the only one out of stock but I'm sure given a few days or a week I'll be able to grab a copy. Also keep in mind a lot of people are just getting back into or into physical media collection for the first time. Then you have many who never picked up a prior release of a limited edition and who wants to pay a ridiculously inflated reseller price on ebay for said prior out of print version.

Hi Keith great review. Can I ask have you or anyone else have damaged sets ? What I mean is the glass numbered block damaging the cardboard housing due to its weight ? Has anyone else had this problem ?

I always like your close interaction with your community and taking our comments serious. If you agree with them or not, it always lead to interesting discussions en arguments. I loved your idea about those small steelbooks. Just something different. I would say. Lovely release it’s just a shame it don’t include the dangerous days documentary or the other cuts of the film like the other 4k release of it did. Although lovely to look at these releases are near enough bare bones when it comes to special features

I was lucky enough to grab 198 of 3000. Your right, these are expensive, and all 4 at once is very taxing. I picked this one especially, because this film has got me through some really tough and dark times. I guess that’s what great films are really about. They take you out of your element and transport you to a place where your problems melt away. The Cover art by Matt Ferguson was great to see as the quote on the inside cover was originally embossed on the cover art as one big movie poster. Matt Ferguson poster art is so expensive anyways, now I can display this and enjoy it. Fantastic review as always, I just wanted to add some thoughts to this release. Cheers!

Uhmm my first take is that they are a Premium box set as you would get from Blu fans but no steelbook. You can pick them up from Ebay minus the steelbook . I fell for that when I started and bought Civil war for £12 but had everything in the box no steelbook but hey you see the box who knows whats inside ;) Digibooks are a nice option and as I am a sealed type person with these you can actually get them out. Your idea to make a custom steelbook to slot inside is a great idea. Maybe send them a email with your suggestion. As for price everything has gone up especially with shipping costs so there are a lot of these added £ and a shrug well its cost of living and as our supermarket just added in 3 brand new rows of custom freezers who knows. Mr Kipling pies were £1.25ish then went to £2.50p thats a 100% increase ! 😡 thats taking the u know what, but let them eat cake once its getting near sell by date the prices drop.People can only pay with what they have. A lot of these steels etc are now hitting the sales the Batman trilogy however tempting I say no as I stopped. but ... I did get 3 4ks for £33 from Zavs as I will get my moneys worth from them if I watch 3 times. In the line of Fire which is always a high price Shawshank and Spartacus. and I am Spartacus ok With these films in the bigger boxes they will look cool on a shelf and for me when I watch steel unboxing and on my big tv they look great then you get them in the post a little steelbox ;( tiny artwork. As I say many times these things need to made at a high quality in boxes with the plastic outers posters and photos little booklets etc and these 4 are aimed at that consumer. To do that you need a bigger boat ... I mean box ;) its like buying a single or a Lp. That blade runner will be collectable for sure people go mad for it Expect £200 on ebay soon . Scarface is the best looking set and the best film. As for releasing new films as you said you havent seen Scarface so you are ok I havent seen 1917 so same for me. Would people other than you and me buy Space Jam ? of course in there millions ;) Same with the First Blood the last month £99 people jumped on it Basically its this film vault style big box lots of goodies inside.and people were very happy. As a collector then you will buy them and who wants shelves of the same sized boxes nice and neat Eh Star Trek 4 k collectors edition in your stupid sized box ;) As I say the titans of C look nice in a row ( especially Space Jam pretty sure you swear at it when you see it looking at you ) these will look nice too. Enjoy and hope you get to see some of these films in the Xmas period. Maybe Santa will get you Space Jam 3 collectors box set.

Hello, this is a great set and collection. It will be nice to see what's coming out for next year. Question? is the Goodfellas 4k transfer any better from the previous 4k? I heard the previous one was poor. I just have the Blu ray for now. As for Blade Runner, my mother took us to the theater to see it, I was 10 years old but excited lol. She loves Harrison Ford. As these are going to be strictly targeted at collectors the pricing could go either way IMO, as they know collectors will pay through the nose for their uniqueness. I prey I'm wrong and prices stay steady, they'll make more money in the long term by keeping us all on board.

Hey Keith, I just preordered Jaws and The Shawshank Redemption for the next film vault wave and it looks like they have gone up in price unfortunately as they were a €10 more each than the last wave. Its a lot to pay for them but they’re 2 of my favourite films so I just went for it and I’d imagine they’ll sell out

These Box sets are awesome, i got 3, and as a movie buff, iam really pleased, the pictures in the sets are amazing, and i love the crystal plates, each with numbers, very cool indeed. Thank you for your review. By now the Blade Runner set is nearly sold out, the only one i hav`nt got jet is Blade Runner, tonight is xmas, My big wish is Blade Runner, so lets see... It’s a fantastic edition for sure. This is a double dip title for me but I couldn’t resist this amazing release - I think the artwork alone did it for me. I’m glad I didn’t hesitate in pre-ordering as now it’s sold out the scalpers are trying to get over £200 on eBay now which is very sad to see. I blinked and missed the Jaws Film Vault pre-order and now the scalpers have it up for £120+. I’d rather give it a miss than pay over the odds to these opportunist scalpers looking to make a quick buck at collectors expense.

Hey Keith, when you were mentioning about the blueprint, you were probably thinking about the Event Horizon edition blueprint. I agree with you about starting the label with these, also I did need a proper edition to these films anyway on 4k. I was going to buy the vompt kampt edition of bladerunner but glad I waited. And as I said I only had scarface on amaray free with my player and that was never good enough for that film. As far as I'm aware there's nothing really close to these level of editions fir Goodfellas and scarface in particular, so that's these films done forever now for me, so I'm delighted they came out. I fully agree about single releases from now on aswell 100%, would be very unfair to do 3-4 again. I was thinking aswell with these editions that if they get to 8+ of great titles I'm going to make a separate shelf to display them front facing, I think they look too good from the front.

There is an even more limited Vice Press Exclusive Poster Edition of all four limited to 200 each. From what I gather they will only release WB/ Discovery and Universal studios movies. I see Jaws, Back to the Future, Jurassic park, ET and The Thing Vault editions at some point.

great video as per, this was the only one I would have gotten because I love the movie, but wouldn't get this set because of the price and lack of a case let alone steelbook, nice set but not for me (says the man who paid £45 for the Dr Who Tardis advent calendar!!) because of the quality and look on my shelf

I thought Scarface was so disappointing on 4k no matter how it boxed up but l can't take anything away from you Keith and your collection mate you must spend a fortune 👍

managed to get one finally went out of stock for a few days. Great set and review definitely not worth £50 though more like £40, 3 classics, 1917 is a very good film but not worthy of a premium release. the blueprint that is similar was the event horizon collectors set

The issue with paying £50 for these is that in a few years from now they won't be worth a fraction of its original cost..look at dvds and Blu-rays. You can get them for a few quid now. There is no trade in value for dvds or Blu-rays even in places like CEX.

These are amazing sets, absolutely beautiful. Why, in most 4k releases you get a 2nd copy of the same movie on blu-ray in the same box? I do not understand.

Is it just me, or has these “new” collectors' editions of movies don't have the unique look of older collections. Remember the Blade Runner Briefcase case collectors edition. The contents were way better than this release. Honestly, I collect steel boxes, but they are overrated.

This looks horrible to me. The grain is so bad and the artifacts in the first scene are terrible. The blu ray looks much better
