I love how they just never explain how Michaels can shoot fire out of his hands.

My mother laughed at this film like crazy, never heard such a laugh from such a serious woman. Turns out she likes both Ferrell and Figure Skating, I didn't know that. Since then and I love this comedy))

I used to ice skate as a kid. We played makeshift hockey. My hometown would flood the parking lot at the park for skating. Had a warm house put up, and skates for kids to use. I couldn't afford new skates, and I couldn't find any used ones in my size, so I used to bring a bag of socks and layer them until they fit right, lol. That is what most of us that ice-skated there did. The Mighty Ducks was a huge movie at the time, so hockey was what we wanted to play in the winter, but they eventually put a stop to it because we didn't have the helmets & pads, and they were worried about a lawsuit. Police would show up and watch the rink to make sure we weren't playing hockey, so we would just take shots at a net my cousin and I made. Then they said we couldn't bring the net there. Pretty soon, sticks and pucks weren't even allowed there. Then they wondered why kids quit showing up to skate anymore in the winter. 😂😂😂

I don’t think this movie would have been as good with Ben Stiller as Chaz, and Will Ferrell as Jimmy. I agree, maybe if Ben had been the perfectionist Jimmy, but I’m glad it worked out the way it did. Thanks for an awesome reaction!

I loved The Cutting Edge movie...toepick! It's a shame Jenna Fischer was not in more movies. LOL, much earlier on I really did used to confuse her a lot with Amy Adams. I watched the tv show Coach regularly when it aired. I gotta admit, I used to not really be much of a Will Ferrel fan. I used to think he and Jack Black both tried way too hard to be funny and always went too overboard. But, lately I've really started liking more and more of Will Ferrell's movies, especially this movie, Talladega Nights and Stepbrothers.

I just rewatched it for the first time in like 10 years and it was better than I remember.

One of my favorite comedies. Based on a scale from the movie of 0-5. 4.5 out of 5 Iron Lotus’s!

I love Will Ferrell. His movies are my favourite comedies. If you haven't seen The Other Guys and Semi-Pro, that would be great movies to react to.

Okay, now that you've both seen Blades of Glory with the big final skate scene set to the Flash Gordon theme song by Queen, I think you both should watch Flash Gordon (1980). It's one of my favorite movies & I've watched it many, many times. I'm willing to bet that one or both of you haven't watched it yet. It has Timothy Dalton as Prince Barin a swashbuckling Robin Hood style guy, Brian Blessed as Prince Vultan leader of the Hawkmen, & Max von Sydow as Emperor Ming the Merciless. It also happens to be Robbie Coltrane's first movie, he has a small role as "Man at Airfield" in the beginning of the movie.

Thanks so much for reacting to this one! I first saw it on a college campus's theater when I was in school, at some point between when it came out and 2011, forgot exactly when (so the whole audience was college and grad school students) and that sort of audience is just SO much fun to watch with! For one thing, during the riskiest part of the iron lotus end scene where his head almost went flying, everyone screamed (then laughed at themselves). In fact, I never used to like going to movie theaters before that college one, lol. I thought the movie was just epic- epically funny and amusingly epic, especially in that theater experience. I saw it ALL three times it ran that night lol. I am surprised this video of yours isn't getting more attention. But, I just love costumes, colors, showmanship, shows in general (even though I'm ironically not a huge fan of skating) and extreme moves, so there ya go lol.

And throw in THE OTHER GUYS for another GREAT Ferrell movie co-starring Mark Wahlberg, why not! And not for nothin'... but the actual skate scenes, as CGI'd as they are, especially the Flash Gordon sequence... are done so well!
