The long limbed creature we see towards the end of the movie was confirmed by the directors to be one of the Blair Witch’s victims and not the actual Blair Witch herself
They actually only said that because the reception of the witch, as well as the fact they showed her was not well received . The end credits even say “Blair witch stunt and arm double”
“Something happening in this movie” lol the irony from him saying that but liking the first. This movie was a fine sequel. What else was it supposed to be? At least we get awesome sound design and actually see some things. People love to hate tho.
Fair enough. I just felt it was too much of the same stuff we’ve seen without any of the atmosphere of the original. Thanks for sharing your opinion though dude 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Love your reactions bro no hate. I just don’t know what else they could have done. Maybe like a family tree passed down from the witch herself of some sort? But I do wish you’d watch more of the horror in the dark 😂
I saw the original one, back in the days, in the cinema (after seeing a great introduction on CNN at that time), and it was really one of the most intense experiences I've ever had (especially when it came to the final sequence). When the movie was finished, and I was still in shock (because of that dude standing in the corner), then suddenly I heard behind me, a young woman sayin': ''This was the worst movie I've ever seen!'' I laughed, walked out of the theatre, into the streets, in the dark, after 12am, and I was really smiling (even laughing) and crying (tears) at the same time, 'cause I realized, I was never ever scared before, watching a scary movie in the cinema. Saw only one time the (horrible) sequel on Dutch tv, and not this version (not sure if it was a remake, a reboot, or a sequel). Still gonna watch you and your friend's reaction lol
I saw the original in a movie theater w just me and my gf, later show, got out at midnight, it was 1 of the scariest movies I have ever seen bc of the experience, that and we thought it was real
I saw the first one in the theaters a day after my friend told me she saw a documentary about this. I went in not really knowing if it's real or based on a real event. I gotta say, I was pretty darned scared watching it. 😲😵💫
Since the woods has this whole time anomaly going on there was a theory saying that when they scream in the first movie "what the f*ck is that" it could've been them seeing the drone flying seeing as how they didn't have drones back then
The original blair witch, i confess, i dont enjoy. But i understand that some people do love it. I do like the fact they kept the witch as a myth or it was true, or it was the murder that escape from the asylium. Or even a theory that two boys were the killers of heather. The book of shadows, still continue that idea. But it did add a few magic moments, but without been in your face. Blair witch 2016, its all over in your face. at some points even kinda puts the witch as a alien... The first part was whatever... the second part (in the woods) was decent and scaring, but the 3rd part till the climax was just too much. Over the top, and lost the charm of is a it a witch? is it supernatural? people go mad? theres a murder between them. But here, is just there this monstor/witch/alien or whatever it was.
Came to watch this reaction and I would say that I also agree that this movie isn’t as good as the first. And the funny thing is that I watched the 2016 version first. I thought it was fine. But then I watched the original after, bc apparently I should’ve watched it first. Even though I knew it was a remake I thought I should’ve watched it first bc maybe the remake is better?? (Learned that I always need to watch the original first) And I agree that the first one is way better. The 2016 remake tried so hard being something more that what it is. Watching this video made me realize how bad the 2016 is more than I thought 😅
Thanks 🤙🏻🤙🏻 I never like to be negative on a movie and this had a couple fun moments in it. Just wasn’t really for me but no shame if someone else is into it!
this film released to theaters in 2016 and i remember back in 2014 that when this film was first announced publicly that it would begin production soon, at that time, they were going with the title for this movie to be "The Woods" and tried to keep it as privately as possible but either someone or multiple people found out that it was a sequel to the First one, not the crappy second sequel "Book Of Shadows" and it was so upsetting because they were not even originally releasing like even a trailer long enough to know it's Blair Witch but just some still photos and LITERALLY just do like maybe a few seconds of a teaser/clip and nothing after that but you know people these days suck azz and it was leaked out and so many people were finding out too soon what "The Woods" was related to the original 1999 film and so they ended up just saying okay you know what, eff it, were just gonna go ahead and change the films original title to Blair Witch and they ended up developing a couple teaser trailers and then just went ahead and released it.
I didn't like this movie that much either, but maybe that's because I really liked the original. Watching the first one, back when it first came out, was a whole experience.
I nearly walked out cos I was the only one in the cinema auditorium til the very last minute when another 5 people walked in. There's no change that I'd watch it alone. It still spooked me
The original one and Book of Shadows terrified me as well, maybe cos I am a wiccan and an empath and I ended up holding on to the guy sitting next to me in the auditorium
You should check out Sinister(Ethan Hawke) Hereditary, The Innkeepers, Cabin In The woods, Audition(Asian Horror) The Medium(Mockumentary) Not Horror but The movie Prisoners with Hugh Jackman 😫
I always thought that the curse starts when you sleep and wake up in the woods, like they go back in time or to a dimension where the witch controls the woods, hence why the tapes were found underneath the foundation of rustin parrs house undisturbed for 100s of years
Honestly I've tried 2 watch this movie multiple times and each time I just turn it off I just find this one completely borin I still prefer the original and book of shadows than this version
I’m so glad that I had to be late for this. The acting sucked as well as the movie. I did get some laughs & entertainment listening to Rob and his friend. Maybe I’m just over tired or possibly judging to harshly.
Hey guys thanks for making the great reaction video this is one of my favorite movies for this unique and interesting and it's right but if you watch the first one it's basically there's a theory about what happened was that you were actually murder and in this one they take it to a whole nother level and it's actually in a witch / alien creature that you know attacks them just like when she was holding the basically like a voodoo doll when she broken said you did this you b**** and she broke it in half and then all the sudden she flipped and half and broke her back and s*** so that's what happened but if you check out there's a behind-the-scenes kind of thing where there is a guy who has a theory about it I'll find the link and maybe send it to you I just found your channel but yeah you probably would enjoy it was about how literally it step-by-step like how the the two guys were basically setting the girls up because they wanted to get with the girls and they wouldn't want to be with them bc of the story.
This movie sucked It felt like a cheap rehash of the original, it wasn’t scary or realistic feeling, the characters sucked and were dumb and annoying, not to mention it contradicted the original at times too. Book of Shadows also isn’t a good film but at least it tried to do something different and I can at least have fun with that PS The monster you see here was in fact the witch. It’s even listed in the film’s credits as “Blair Witch stunt and arm double”. But after audiences reacted negatively to the witch let alone the fact they showed her anyway, the writer and director panicked and backtracked swiftly and said it was a victim .
This movie was definitely not as good as the first one even done with a lower budget the first one drew you right in and I was captivated the whole time ! This one just didn’t do it for me tbh, great reaction though ❤
@@cynthiecoxHow the hell would they think walking barefoot in a river that probably has sharp rocks and glass etc was a good idea? LOL The characters sucked and were dumb
