There will never be another like him. His work will continue to stand the test of time. I've grown up on "The Pink Panther" films, and I watched his other classics such as "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "Days of Wine and Roses" as I started to become a serious student of films. This man has such an array of talent. RIP Blake Edwards.
Its to bad he than lost his taste/talent, both by studio pressures. And that his style didn’t fit with the new generation “83-91”. But when he did had talent, it still proved Edward’s can be genuinely funny (Victor/Victoria)
It still worked for me. I was eight when Victor/Victoria came into my life and I still got laughs all the way through my high school years thanks to Skin Deep and Switch.
@@adamzanzie Micki & Maude. Jonathan Reynolds may have written it, granted, but Blake's direction still makes it an essential...and saddens me that it is still an underrated gem after 35 years.
Great director! never get credit for comedies by the Oscar voters Never understood why He did make drama too Days of Wine and Roses his best Jack Lemon and Lee Remick were wonderful in their roles! If you only know Blake from Pink Panther movies then you don't know him very well he made other classics besides that series. As the clips show!
