I was with my wife for 28 yrs and cared for her through both times she had cancer. She was the best person in my life. She passed Jan of 2021 and I would gladly marry any woman that could be half of what my wife was. I felt like the richest man in the world as long as I was with her.

This is one of my favorites songs he did. I never really understood it until fairly recently. Interesting how people take different paths sometimes and then somehow something just strange happens and paths cross again. I guess sometimes friendship/love always finds a way even if seems strange, I don't think things are predetermined but think we all end up where we are meant to be at some point.

agreed. in 96 me and my gf at the time broke up and i moved away while in school. over the years i looked for her but couldnt find her till 2015. i found her on fbook under a different married name then i knew about. i took the chance and it was her. we talked almost all night and met up a few weeks later and have been best friends since. i dont see her as much as i like since i moved out of state almost four yrs ago but we still do talk on occasion. she was my first love and i think i never married because noone has lived up to my love for her and i still do.

I remember in the year 2000 my grandma got her first phone that could download ringtones. My grandma pita asked me to find this song and put it as her ringtone, I would hear it every day... I miss her so much, she passed in 2013, she was my rock. I still to this day can't hear the song without crying. I love you pita so much, and I miss you so much. This song was the first country song I heard when I first met my husband Mike. I had no idea who Blake Shelton even was. We would ride around at night listening to the radio. I was a city girl. He was a truck driver who lived on a farm. We fell in love and were together 18 years until he died of lung cancer. He was the best thing that ever happened to me. Blake Shelton sings "The Baby." It was his second #1 single ("Austin" was his first #1), and it is definitely a fan favorite too. Like I said, the music video adds nothing to the song, and it's by far my least favorite of Blake's videos. I much prefer to just listen to it.

I first heard this song in 2008. I was in a psych ward for a suicide attempt after years of being addicted to narcotics. I started crying at the table while playing chess with a couple of other patients and that made a few others cry. it really hit me hard. it still makes me tear up a bit, but I am home now and eight years clean. It kind of kept me going during those dark times. Blake doesn't know it but he did me a big favor that day.
