Blake & Sun, Full Storyline - RWBY Volume 4 

Sun following her purely because he's worried about her was an adorable reveal. Blake finally doing the 'my hero' thing was just so cute. The implied insta-friendship between sun and blake's mom I could warp into blacksun evidence. Blake's dad is intimidating and admirable at the same time. And finally, Sun's big moment of telling Blake like it is really tied the little black bow on the story. it may not have been the action, but it was the story's climax.

I love how Sun is so genuine to Blake. Like yes, he has a huge crush on her but, he never made that the whole reason why he's there. He seems to just assume the role as a friend and while, yes, he wouldn't mind being something more, he's never been like 'so... wanna smash?' or 'are we a thing now?' He genuinely cares for her well being which, in this day and age with all the fuck boys out there, it's almost hard to believe... Sun just seems even more like fiction even if he acts more real that most of those guys who befriend girls that they're hoping to date. I know he would still be there for her even if she ever rejects him. He puts being her friend first before trying to be anything more and I think that's what makes him so awesome. And I hate how some people say that he's a stalker. Without him, Blake would have never gained the courage to try and get Ilia back to her side. Blake may not have ever even returned to her friends and her family might have died if he wasn't there. Honestly, it's the only argument those who adamantly hate blacksun think they have... but it's sure as hell a weak ass argument. Now, please note: People can have their ships. You can enjoy bumblebee, illia/blake, blacksun, or even tauradonna (to be fair, it makes for one hell of a dramatic lovestory). But I think it's wrong to insult each other's ship. This one may be one of the closest to canon in the series but, nevertheless, remember to be kind and respect everyone else's ship. Tearing down other ships and those kinds of things in a fandom is how it gets toxic.

I totally ship Blake and sun more than bumblebee. They kind of threw bumblebee out of nowhere in volume 6 but Blake and sun had it since day one.

Blake and Sun had years to develop their chemistry. But apparently "fanservice" is much more important to people! Yeah, that's right! I'm one of the believers that "bumbleby" doesn't work!

Sun has to be the best part of Vol. 4 for me because he just lightened the mood so much and makes me laugh every time he's on screen. With the gloom and doom surrounding everyone, a character like Sun was needed.

Sorry Bumblebee shippers, but Blake and Sun have WAY more chemistry than Yang and Blake ever did. Completely natural and actually emotional, rather than forced.

Seeing this arc made me understand Blake a whole lot more than even previously. I would've thought slapping Sun would send her into unlikable territory, but if you look at her character growth across all 4 volumes, this last arc seems to come full circle as what will finally get her to stop running and answer Ooblecks question, "How?" In that respect, I wanted to give her a dope slap for her ignorance, but then give her a big hug because she really needed it. Also, Sun is both awesome, funny (the faces he makes when he sees Blake's house and Ghira questions him are hilarious) and shows his leader side. Shout out to Michael Jones and Arryn Zech for their acting. Mama and Papa Belladonna are great characters, too. They know how to help their child. Lastly, mad props to the animators, the expressive ears bring out so much!

Of course this ship has their first moment in a ship where their first fight is with a canon... yep... makes sense...

This whole storyline was just adorable. I love how Sun was utilized; he added levity that balanced out the depressing side of Blake's story.

I miss this ship so much. Blake x Yang literally came out of nowhere and was only created to please the fans. I loved RWBY in the beginning because the team were like sisters. Black Sun is great because of how their personalities seem the opposite but blend so well together at the same time, not to mention that their relationship is just straight up adorable. Rooster Teeth really threw away that perfectly good ship because of the fandom, and it's sad. I'm also sad that Yang seems so sad now. It's understandable with the stuff she had to go through, but I miss her bubbly personality so much. Now her only personality trait at this point is Blake

Just a reminder that Sun followed Blake thinking that fighting the White Fang by herself was a death wish so at the very least he could be by her side to fight certain death. Loyalty...

I just wanted to see this couples’ nice development one last time before Bumblebee becomes completely canon soon. It’s forever going to sadden me to see this - all of this - possible romantic development and potential ( better development for Blake) go to waste for plot bait and fan service. So long BlackSun 😢.

Props to Blake's dad believing his daughter right-off and being suspicious of the white-fang from then on. Usually the parental figure trusts the bad guys more due to being fooled by them before the son or daughter can inform them of their misdeeds.

Each is their own story: Ruby is the story of pressing forward despite the hardships, Weiss' is rebellion against what has done nothing but hold you back, Blake's is learning to not run or hide from your problems, Yang's is learning to cope with fear and getting back up.

God Blake is such an awful character. Sun sees Blake run off and keeps an eye on her out of concern, and when he leaps to her aid, she has the gall to demand to know what is he doing? Like idk, maybe fight off the Grimm trying to kill you? She drops him and tells him to just shut up and fight, and then slaps him afterward. She gets mad at Sun for thinking she’s not a coward, and keeps going back and forth from not fighting the white fang to saying she’s “not done fighting.” She has loving parents and a team of friends she abandoned but claims to be “alone” in her own way. No, she isn’t alone in anyway, she’s just a shitty daughter and friend.

The thing is.Blake and yang don’t really have that much history together.all they did was hold hands and dance over 2 chapters. But then Blake and sun have more chemistry together and it’s more of a stable ship. Blakexyang=crack ship Blakexsun=ship Then you have Weiss and ruby.NOW that’s a ship 😏 as they have more chemistry UwU

A little weird thing I noticed is that Blake voice has changed or more her manner of speaking. In the beginning, she was a girl of a few words. You know rarely says anything but when she does, it is on point. But in later seasons, she got that annoying tendency to drag out the sound of her voice. Makes her sound kind of hysterical. Not a change I like. Or is it just my imagination?

TBH I originally HATED Blake. All throughout 1-3 Blake was the worst character for me. But this season was good to her. Without Sun this story would've been so gloomy and emo.
