I am much older. Have been keeping a journal since Nov. 1976. I was not a child then. I have always loved stationary, pens, stickers, etc. But...when it comes to journaling, I will sound boring, I'm sure. I've never used anything but plain, ol', spiral bound, 200 page notebooks...the kind we used in school. I love the ones you have. They're beautiful ! And I have some like that....gifts from my sister,....but I never write in them. There's just something about writing over images......I don't want to "ruin" it by writing over it. I've heard some journalers are intimidated (if that's the right word) by large pages ....& what I use are probably considered large. But for me, it works. I just write. I have no rules about it. And there shouldn't be ! Journaling is very personal & individual. There are no Journal Police. LOL No one is going to correct your grammar, punctuation, sentence structure or spelling. I don't have a set time of the day when I write. I don't use any prompts or mood altering methods. I just sit down & write when there's something I want to write. I don't embellish my journals in any way....no stickers or washi tape or anything. Yep, probably boring to most ! But it's how I journal & that's OK. I always write the day of the week, date, & time. I might write a little in a morning & more later on....always noting the time. And I make sure to make note of the year when it changes. It kind of surprises me that I've never opted for the pretty books to journal in, considering my life-long love of all kinds of stationary supplies....but I never have. I don't write every single day. There have been times when days, weeks, & possibly even months have gone by....but I've never abandoned journaling. I always get back into it. Sometimes the notebook I'm writing in just gets somewhere that I don't see it ....so I don't bother looking for it...& a few days go by w/out writing. That's OK, too. There are no rules. There is one thing I think is important : writing by hand. Your emotions show in your handwriting. ...& your style changes as you age. It's interesting to observe. I have 2 regrets. One is that I haven't done it my entire life....& also , that for a short period of time, I typed my thoughts & printed them out. Big mistake !! Wow, didn't mean to go on so long. Love journaling !
Oh my! 50 unused? Now I feel better about having 20 unused Journals! I however, understand. When Journal writing ✍ is a passion, it becomes extraordinarily hard NOT to collect Journals! This was a lovely video 💌
Thank you! Yes, I feel a bit ashamed about it. :) It wouldn't be so bad, either, if I went through a good few a year (like some journalers I've seen on RU-vid). But one a year? ...Yeah, these are gonna be sitting around a while! 20's a solid number- varied but manageable!
WOWWWWW god i LOVE that journal from 26:07 sadly it seems to be really expensive to ship to the uk :( i did actually buy the journals at 32:24 and 35:02 because of you btw they are still some of my favourites
I got it from Amazon. The manufacturer/brand is OMEYA, and I got it in the "color" "Blue - Magnificent Clock", but now I can only find it in "Silver - Castle Queen." Maybe you'll have better luck; here's the link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B095WJXBFK/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A2L77EE7U53NWQ&psc=1
