I was so impressed with your painted baskets from the charity shops, I purchased 3 today and some pretty pastel paint. Now all I have to find is a tutorial on making liners.
Oh, what a fun project. Did you buy square/rectangular shaped baskets? Those are the easiest to line. Measure each side of the inside your basket and cut your fabric half an inch bigger for a seam allowance. You might want to make them 4 inches taller too to give you plenty of fabric to fold over at the top and fold over the brim. They look so pretty once painted 😍
Wow Amanda I, m in awe of your talent I would die for this much talent. It must be the Italian Scot in me when 8 think of the money you must have spent and the are sitting unfinished, I would jot be able to sleep ❤😂😂
Thank you, Karen. I loved looking them all out and having a trip down memory lane - it's surprising how many memories are knitted into these projects. I must try to finish a couple of these blankets soon x
Wow, want an inspiration you are Amanda! I have decided to make each of my grandchildren a blanket, so as I have 6 I will do them for birthdays rather than trying to do 6 for Christmas. You’ve given me lots of ideas. Your work is so beautiful one day I might try a Janie Crowe blanket for myself. Thanks for sharing all your blankets xx
Oh Wow! All beautiful blankets and yes you must finish your Debbie Abrahams blanket. I knitted her 2016 mystery blanket which I do enjoy. I love all you yarn colours. I never seem to find what I am looking for! Really must note which dyers you use. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work 💕🥰xx
Thank you, Teresa. I really must cut down the amount of yarn that I buy. Collect crafting supplies and using crafting supplies are definitely two different hobbies 😉
The baskets I got at the charity shops are all round , I have already painted the largest which came with a nice liner and I am now using it. This was a very interesting podcast
