Theory: The process of monsterfication is actually more common and less harmful than it seems. Anyone focused enough can get stronger and acquire power, it just "goes badly" when someone does that under stress or negative emotions. The process of a martial artist training and getting stronger to the point of doing super human feats is actually the same of a someone under stress becoming a monster, but only the later is seen by society as "monsterfication". Someone becoming a crab monster because of his obsession with eating crabs wouldn't actually be different than someone training and getting strong with an obsession for "tank tops", it's just that the later usually comes from positive emotions and healthy habits. And that's also what happened to saitama, he became so focused on training and overcoming his limits that we under went "monsterfication" and became a personification of "breaking limits", just like would happen to a monster, but because his change was positive nobody says it was "monsterfication".

Theory: Saitamas training was so rough for him that he literally died many times during it (or was close). As we know the limiter can be removed if you came in contact with death as said by gyro. So i think Saitama wasn't lying at all he was speaking the truth.

Just a random theory but if the limiter idea is true then maybe Saitama had such a low limiter just the workout was enough to breakthrough it causing extreme growth spurred on by the lack of his limiter and the side effects he was experiencing was just breaking through it.

I think the tatsumaki flashback thing may have been her accidentally projecting her thoughts once he mentioned she had someone to protect

God is possibly everywhere at once, so Blast and his team gotta even travel through different times to conquer ! Could be the rest of the team mates are separated in different times and dimensions for different missions instead of being dead.

Also, something that I noticed is when Blast was with his partner he had no glasses, but his partner did. I am going out on a limb here but a am guessing his partner died somehow and he wears his partner's glasses as a tribute to him.

Unpopular opinion: One Punch Man season 2 is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be! People only say it’s bad because season 1 was really good and since season 2 was good but not as good as s1 people like to complain and act as if it were garbage when it really isn’t. It’s a little bit above average and not that bad.

Here's an idea. Saitama actually monsterized, and similar to Homeless Emperor, maintained his human form except his hair. The pain he went through while training would explain that. Also a theory about Blast, his portals can travel to different universes. That would explain some of his knowledge.

Saitama is the reason the Hero Association even got made, since he was the one who saved the grandson of the butt chinned guy before he fully started his training.

But did Blast mess up with Tatsumaki and /or Amai Mask? I wonder. Maybe he gave them the words they needed in those moments of confusion and uncertainty that would help them move forward in strength. If Tatsumaki never heard those words from Blast, would she have awakened her powers to where she could fight Psykos at the level she did? The same with Amai Mask. Blasts words were exactly what he needed to hear when he was cast down like he was. Those words help him hold on to his humanity when he's feeling the weakest and tempted to give in to the bloodlust within. However, those words were not meant to sustain them forever, and this is where Saitama comes in. Blast wasn't there to personally ensure they make it through their most difficult struggles, but now that they have someone who is there they can rely on sometthing more beneficial for strength. So, it's like taking a vehicle to an airport and then getting on a plane to finish the rest of the journey. Blast gave them an automobile, and Saitama is the plane to carry them the rest of the way. Blast and Saitama are linked somehow. The story started out by telling us that Blast and Saitama are very much alike. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say it wanted us to believe they're either the same person or are related. I almost want to believe they're the same person, but Blast-- or Saitama-- is from a different dimension. Blast could be a Saitama who gained power in a way that didn’t cause him to lose his hair, and the powers he gained was of a different nature. Both are also almost god-like to the people they've helped. Maybe one is cause and the other effect/ father and son? I don't know but there's definitely a connection, or perhaps it's just a red herring fallacy and there's no connection other than they're both heroes that just happen to be similar. I'm interested to see where they take this.

One punch is more or less a parody manga so it would be within reason that his powers are also a joke, the reason saitama was able to break his limiter was because his limits were very low, garou wanted to be the strongest, had he beaten saitama he would have broken his limits, saitamas limits were most likely his training regiment and the specific amount of time to continue doing that regiment

Blast hasn't broken his limiter. He's an equipment guy. He still has his hair.

For him not realizing king, maybe actually knows. If I was in his situation, and I believed the stories of king being super powerful, I'd have sent him to the front lines while I either find someone else or do it myself. Maybe he understands king has stupid levels of luck, which isn't always the best option for upfront combat. It is however, great for retreating. I don't think he CAN sense in the traditional manner. It's more of he can tell by small quirks in how someone reacts, or how well they read themselves, and less of like a power read. Blast seems to know a fair bit of everyone else, and if he knew what king was, he could probably put 2 and 2 together. He's not strong, but luck is always on his side somehow. Saitama not showing fear may have indicated he's a tough cookie, but it wouldn't tell him anything else.

2:18 Let's not forget about this Ancient King monster who claimed to have roamed the Earth since the era of the dinosaurs which he ruled over as he is king of the Terror Lizard Clan. Gets easily destroyed by Tatsumaki if you remember. If that counts, then it's proof that these mysterious beings have been around in the OPM world for a long time. A very VERY long time. Ever wonder how this Ancient King was born? Maybe he was once a normal carnivorous dinosaur? A T. Rex perhaps? Then he somehow touched a cube and it turned him into what we knew him now until Tatsumaki destroyed him? Obviously God existed before the dinosaurs including the Ancient King.

My best guess about Saitama getting as strong as he did is that as he grew stronger, he didn't realize he was actually increasing his workouts. On top of that, he kept fighting monsters all that time and his will power to be the strongest hero and defeat monsters with 1 punch is what caused his limiter to break. It's like his lack of common sense is what allowed it to happen.

Aren't there other unexplained powers from heroes that are not listed in your classification system? For instance, Death Gatling has that weird thing with his face that turns it into a skull. That does not seem like something a regular human can do, and he is not listed under the classification system. It feels like there are others humans who gain powers for mysterious, ungodly related reasons.

having done saitamas training for a month i can say - you stop seeing results after about 2 weeks give or take also did weight training after using his methods as a warm up which is the only thing i'd really recommend it for but even then you could half it and get the same results AC isnt really a thing in ireland and saving money on heating was also good

When Saitama was fighting Garou on Jupiter, Saitama said he has a feeling of deja vu, God was described by Psykos as the reminiscent of Jupiter's surface. So my theory here is Saitama have actually met God or was familiar with him but forgot because we know Saitama tends to forget things but if this was God he couldn't have forgotten maybe his memory was wiped out, maybe God bestowed his powers on Saitama thus helping him remove his limiter and maybe Saitama has already faced God before.
