Brings me back to college, 2013, living with two friends in a house right off campus. I had decent sound system and used to shake the walls down with this banger. At first they were a bit disturbed, but after a couple weeks of my obsession, they both got infected by it too, and they’d walk around the house repeating the single line over and over, and curse me… then ask me to shake the house with it one more time… Good times!
People like to get nostalgic over 90's and early 2000's techno (rightfully so), but I had an absolute blast from 2005 to around 2015; lots of interesting stuff during that period. Most of the truly great stuff was slightly overshadowed by the weird minimal hype that took over for a while. But that's how it's always been, just gotta dig a little deeper to find the gems.
Interview with Blawan - “It took me a while to realise that people were really into it. I kind of only made the record in the first place really because it was using samples from one of my Mum’s favourite albums, which was by the Fugees. I said to my mum, ‘If I was going to remix this album for you, this is what I would do.’ [laughs] But then I was like, ‘Oh, this is actually kind of worth releasing…’ But it was tongue in cheek record - you can tell it’s not totally serious - but I was surprised at how it took off. And it scared me as well, if I’m honest. It was a direction I didn’t want to go in"
Hahaha "it scared me aswell".... I'd be scared too man. Tracks like this would bring you down some deep and dark ravey basements it would be a lot of fun but you'd come out ten years later with mush for a brain, no money and probably a few limbs missing from the type of partying it would create, you'd be left questioning where it all went wrong 😂
crazy how well this works. is it the beat, the disconcerting movement, the innocence of the animation versus or paired with the violence in the music and lyrics? love it.
Love this track. Absolute wild tune, this does some mad things to you when yer pinging on mandy. Never see a dancefloor standing still when this get's dropped.
Ich hab es vor ungefähr 'nem Jahr bei sunshine live in irgendeinem Stream zum ersten Mal gehört. Hat mich sofort abgeholt und gleich geshazamt... Seitdem folgt mir der Track überall hin 😈
they are a singer in pentatonix this was Mitch's song of the week in one of their side channel (superfruit) (it has 2 of the members of the group in it) videos on RU-vid
Attention Everyone! Here's a fun Challenge you should try: Turn off all the light's you have in your house ( you can add lid candles around for it to be even more creepy and scary) Play this song late at night in 0.5 speed by clicking setting on the video below. Then watch the whole video while trying to go to sleep. "Sweet Dreams"
Sorry it took me some time, but after around 500 hours of careful listening i got it figured out i think: WHAAAAAA THEY HAAA THEY BHAAAAADIES UNDA MA GARAAAAAAAJ (UNDA MA GA- UNDA MA GA- UNDA MA GARAAAAAAJ)
Dan Duffy It can be. but mostly not. Acid is known for being quite lenient in regards to bad trips.. I have never had a bad trip on acid myself.. It is easier to get into an unstable mindset on psilocybin since it is so murky mixing your thoughts with the experience. It intersects your experience much more sharply then acid or DMT so it is hard to keep a clear mind. Another psychedelic that really messes with that distinction is Salvia.. holy crap that is confuzing. Also for me there always this sense of impending doom whener I take it. so bad experiences are much closer to the surface. Only way to find out is to try for yourself. Nothing comes even remotely close to the psychedelic experience, I don't even believe the concept of good or bad experiences really make sense in light of it when push comes to shove.
