I've been waiting a long time to get my hands on this wonderful track. Blawan has transformed Brandy's 'I wanna Be down' into one infectious thumping club track. Where the dark moody instrumental complements the vocals brilliantly. A limited white label release.
It is Fair to say Blawan only knows how to make solid releases. Can't wait for his next!

Heard this at a day party last year. The DJ looped the intro really subtly for like 10 minutes over a few songs, then brought it in and then played the loop on it's own for another 2 minutes. Then he teased a slowed down sample of Good Times by Chic over the top of it. It was so joyous I can't properly express it in words hahaha

Go back in time to a time before you heard this song. Then- remember the first time you heard it in a club and how you were so happy you nearly soiled yourself. Now, bottle that feeling. Sell it. Failing that- don't listen to this for a while, a coupla years maybe. Then come back and rinse the hell out of it again. One of the sickest tracks i've ever heard. Still. Soil away.

I was listening to a Paula Temple (techno) track right now... and I though what would be a very odd genre to mix with techno. I thought R&B. AHA! I remembered this very track which is essentially a techno track with remixed R&B vocals. Classy!

This is more of a UK garage tune, with the shuffly drums and deep subs. But techno is essentially derived from r&b. It's no coincidence that the home of techno, Detroit, is also the place that birthed P-funk.

This track differs quite a bit from his other work. Most of his other work is a lot rawer and more industrial. also, Blawans tracks grow on you. The first time i heard this, i thought it was utter shit. And when it was voted Resident advisors top track for 2011 i thought everybody lost their minds. But somewhere in the last year i started to like it, and its now one of my favorite tracks.
